42. An Escape Goat

Dave's eyes are burning with fury as he glares back at me. I don't waver. I look at him with the same intensity. This is the same man who abused me less than a week ago, the same man I almost ended my life for.

The longer I stare back at him, the more those horrible images of what happened that night continue to flash in my mind.

"Seems like you love your cell room back in jail," he says sarcastically.

"Trust me, you will also enjoy your time in jail."

He blinks back at me as if I just spoke a foreign language he can't comprehend. I decide to enlighten his confused mind.

"Do you think I won't get evidence against you?"

I burst into laughter when I see his face turn ashen.

"Wait wait wait Dave. So you thought I could just willingly open my legs for you and watch you rape me without having a thought of reporting you?"

In a bid to control his anger, he forcefully grabs the ends of his desk, "I didn't rape you!"
