29. A Tempting Offer

Glancing around to make sure no one is paying attention to me, I click on the folder in my office system that has all of Don Pedro's information. I am about to input his name in the system server, just to check for any more information about him but a voice interrupts me.

"What are you doing?"

I look up and my gaze meets one of my new colleagues. She joined the academy last year and has already done some tremendous work.

"Ermm, I'm just…"

She peeps into the system and her jaw drops on seeing what I am about to do, "I thought boss says we should drop this case?"

"He said that?" I fake a scared voice, even though I received the mail from Dave, asking me to transfer all files and evidence I have about Don Pedro to the DEA. After all, it's their area of specilization. They will handle him from now onwards.

"Yeah. Didn't you get the mail?"
