Meeting The Queen

"EDEN." Daisy and Abidemi called out as they ran over to him. Eden groaned when the two young women hugged them and he returned the hug. He thanked the goddess that he got cleaned up because Daisy and Demi would be nagging him to death. He really wasn't in the mood for that.

Eden then looked at the queen who was watching them with a warm smile and kind eyes.

The Queen had long red hair, golden eyes, and tanned white skin. She wore an elegant light yellow dress with a lot of jewelry and had a golden tiara on her head. She had her hands in front of her in a polite manner as she watched them.

Eden quickly looked at Abidemi and Daisy with nervous smiles. "Guys. Her majesty is here."

"It's alright." The Queen spoke up, causing Eden to look at the Queen. " I find it sweet to see that they're so close to you."

Abidemi and Daisy backed away. "Well, she wanted us to feel relaxed with her." Abidemi nodded her head.

"Our guards were lowered. Sorry." Demi said while she gave him a small smile. Eden smiled at the two.

"It's alright." Eden said to them. He didn't need to lecture them since both know better.

Eden looked at both Abidemi and Daisy to see that they were dressed up.

Abidemi was wearing a short sleeve blue blouse, with a blue wrap on her head and a long wrap skirt around her waist with water and ice patterns. She had a sash over her shoulder. She also had a beaded necklace around her neck. It was made with wood, metal and glass beads. Along with some earrings.

Eden blinked. "I've never seen you wear that unless you're visiting Uncle Aremu." he pointed out as Abidemi just smiled. He smiled as he noticed his sister's expression.

"Daisy had it made for me. It's really lovely, isn't it." Abidemi said while twirling around. " It's so pretty and so sweet. I'll have to give her something in return."

Eden looked at Daisy to see that she was wearing an elegant red dress with white flame like embroidery on the hems. She had a headband on her head as he noticed the white pearl earrings and matching necklace.

She smiled at Demi before she shook her head. She looked to Eden with a small shake. "It's a going away gift. She really doesn't need to give me anything in return."

Abidemi looked at Daisy with a deep frown. "Yes I do. You're insane if you think I'm not going to repay you."

Daisy rolled her eyes as she started to bicker at Demi with affection. Eden shook his head as watched his older sister and cousin bicker.

"So, what Sebastain and Akeem are like with each other?" The Queen asked. Eden jumped before looking beside him. Eden was about to bow but The Queen stopped him. "You don't need to do that Eden. We're going to be family, as Eden, you have no need for that."

Eden blinked. He looked at The Queen. "Prince Sebastian told you."

"Of course he did. I must say, it's good that you're doing this." The Queen looked at Daisy and Abidemi who were just bickering away. "So Akeem and Sebastian."

"There just like those two." Eden said while pointing at Daisy and Abidemi. "In fact, they were bickering when they were going to see his majesty. They even got goo goo eyes at Abidemi and Daisy."

The Queen laughed. "I guess giving him that was worth it after all." Eden blinked before looking at the Queen who was closing her eyes. " Sebastian was shyer than Theodore when he was little. He also broke into tears easily and he had very little self confidence. We were visiting Elov for the summer and he was really curious about the other Kingdom. We gave him something and told him to play. When he came back he was talking about his new older friend to us. He never told Theodore or his cousins. Just us."

"Something…"Eden started out. He looked at the Queen with an arched eyebrow. "Was that something a ma…"

The queen placed a finger over her lips which made Eden shut his mouth. The queen nodded her head. "It is. The princes of the kingdom need some form of freedom. So do the princesses but they get theirs when the candidacy starts."

"You mean there's going to be a candidacy?" Eden asked the queen who only nodded her head. They never had a candidacy for Mila and Theodore, if anything he heard that a certain faction didn't think it was necessary. "Why?"

"It's to show that we picked a capable crown prince and princess candidate for the people. We know they are capable but not the people or the nobles. Be it, we won't be able to change some of their minds. We didn't hold a candidacy this time around because certain nobles think it unnecessary. " The Queen explained to him. " We mostly kept Sebastian in the background because he was five years younger than Theodore. Yet he showed more potential to be King than his brother."

"And Theodore?" Eden asked.

"He has no desire or potential to be King. Yes, he has the looks and charisma but that's a surface level thing once you actually get to his drive." The Queen muttered. "He'll probably do well as Grand Duke but it'll have to be something low maintenance."

"You mean the current crown prince …" Eden started out. The Queen sighed.

"Is incredibly lazy? Yes."The Queen said bluntly as Eden chuckled lightly. As the queen sighed. "He's the type that lazes around and lets others do things for him. It will take a lot to get him to study, to do sword lessons and other things. While Sebastian works himself to the point where he doesn't sleep. Just like his father."

Eden let out a laugh. "Then who's Theodore more like?"

The Queen sighed. "His majesty's older brother. Yet the difference is that His majesty's brother is more capable than my son. Both Theodore and his uncle are close." Her eyelids lowered as she watched Daisy and Abidemi had stopped bickering and were exploring the garden. "It's worrying. We try to keep them apart but Theodore will get so mad at us."

Eden frowned. "Your majesty."

" I don't want Theodore to end up like that man. Maybe I should've tried harder." she muttered. Eden was going to speak up before Daisy and Abidemi walked over to them. The queen quickly put on a smile.

"Sorry about that. We got distracted." Demi said while Daisy gave a small smile.

"Yes. It won't happen again. Your majesty." Daisy said with a small bow. The Queen smiled at the girls.

"It's alright girls. It's good to see noble young ladies being so close. Not many are nowadays. Having a close friend or two is great for a lady of nobility. You'll need reliable allies." The Queen said while she looked at the two.

Daisy and Abidemi nodded their heads as they smiled. "Yes your majesty."

"Don't be afraid to be tough as steel when you face your enemies." The Queen said while the two nodded their heads. The Queen smiled at them until she noticed the guards running towards them. He quickly went over to the queen and whispered something into her ear. The Queen's eyes widened before she frowned deeply. "Tell them to hold her off until I get there."

The guard nodded his head as he quickly ran off. The Queen sighed as she shook her head. Demi, Eden, and Daisy looked at the Queen. "Something the matter?" Daisy asked.

"No. It's just someone who came over unannounced. She could wait, she'll need to understand that." The Queen said with a small wave. The Queen smiled at the three. "Come I'll show you the roses. We have so many."

The three nodded their heads and they followed after the queen.

"What do you mean she isn't at The Sunflower mansion?" Freya almost yelled from the top of her lungs. Her hair was a mess. She looked like she hadn't slept at all. The maid she was yelling at kept their head down as they sweat like crazy. Lady Freya started to pace as she tugged on her dark dress. "Where is she?"

"I don't know miss. Lord Logan went there earlier and he hadn't come back." the maid whispered.

Freya breathed heavily as she ran her fingers through her hair. She glared at the maid. "Then how do you know that she isn't there?!" the maid shook as she closed her eyes tightly.

The maid shook as she kept her hair down. Drops of sweat hit the floor as she spoke up. "None of their servants saw Lady Daisy's carriage returning nor did they see Lady Abidemi walking by the main building." Freya growled which only made the maid shake some more.

"Then go and find out." Freya hissed. The maid nodded her head. Freya got angrier as she saw that the maid didn't move but shook where she stood. Her eyes flashed, the floor suddenly grew dark roots as the maid quickly noticed. The poor maid let out a small gasp as she quickly left the room.

Freya yelled as the vines and flowers started to grow all over the room. Vines tightly wrapped around the bed, the chairs and the walls. Yet that was all they were capable of. They just stayed there.

"Wow. Lady Freya. I have never seen you so mad." a sly voice said which caused her to turn around. She jumped up when saw someone covered in black. She swallowed heavily as she glared at the person that was by the window. Her temper calmed down a bit as she backed away from the man.

"What do you want?" Freya said darkly as she moved from the man.

The man was facing her as he held up his hands. " Easy, Lady Freya. I'm not here to hurt you. My master just wanted to know if you took care of that loose end."

Freya swallowed heavily. That's right, the loose end. She quickly remembered the Duchess Of Blacklake's face and swallowed heavily. She never told this Shadow's master who the loose end was nor did she give a hint.

The Blacklake family was a terrifying family. Known to be vicious and merciless throughout the years. Sure, people started to lose respect for the family due to Logan but they still were dangerous.

She doesn't know who this Shadow's master was but she was sure they were just as bad as the Blacklake family.

Freya swallowed heavily. "I just have to give them what they want. I'm sure that they would keep quiet about it."

Shadow shook his head as he looked at Freya. "Are you sure you know what that loose end wants?"

Freya only nodded her head feverishly. "Yes. Yes. They want Abidemi. I just need to give them to her." The shadow snorted. "What?"

Shadow shook his head. "Nothing. Just do what you need to do." The Shadow sounded amused as he quickly left. Freya blinked as the color drained from her face.

She feels a sense of dread coming in the pit of her stomach.

I know. Another character introduction but we got one more to go. After that, there won't be one for probably a while.

Also, this part of Abidemi's life is coming to an end. Yeah, she leaving Valtis in a few chapters.

Also, Elov is based on African cultures, some things from the on ottoman empire and some Indian cultures. Elov doesn't have one main culture.

I wanted to add more Kingdoms with different customs but I don't wanna stray from the plot.
