"O.... h... youve made it to Hogwarts too?" I gulped swallowing my chocolate frog promtly as we were in a rather awkward and totally uncomfortable situation.
Silence.
I was totally not expecting for Justin to just suddenly pop up like a bug. Then if I were to think back..if he's here... it was true then... accidental magic. The one that killed them...
"Hm" Justin was genuinely surprised, but in mere seconds, his face totally changed to his cold one. Pale yet dark.
I then think for a little bit. Some pieces started to fit in the puzzle automatically as I saw him in this state. He's a god damn wizard too.
'Does he know now? Why he manage to kill his friends?' I was in for the curiosity, but it was a rather too disrespectful for me to ask it all of a sudden.
"So how's it going? Excited?" I continued in as Justin was awake now. And not speaking with each other is very odd.
Justin sent me a weird glare, ignoring my questions, and I was pushed into the corner insultingly, pretty puzzled at his reactions.
"Ehm, how's Tasia then?" I then asked more. As I was thinking how lonely Tasia will now be. As Justin is the only true friend she got that support her always. And now we're both gone. She might not be able to control her temper and just go on random fights everyday like the gangster she is.
"At the others," He responded, I nodded, pretty baffled that she can immediately move on and find other friends pretty quickly.
"She must have gotten friends quickly in the orphanage then," I answered with my thought.
"Uh, other compartment I mean," Clearing it up, Justin coughs as I raised my eyebrows. "Other.... compartment?" I then asked for confirmation. Justin nodding..... was that a misunderstanding?
I was left with my body as my soul gone out. Is this madness? There's only 40 students every year that goes to Hogwarts. With the population of United Kingdom today, which I presume 55 million, there's the hecking chance of getting picked at Hogwarts of 0.000072727273 or something, and then there's just three random people that comes from the very same orphanage.
Coincidence? I think the fuck not!
I still looked bewildered, Justin having a glimpse of me, suspicious.
"Why ask like you know so much about this? Have you tried what they called 'magic'? Believe me I still don't trust it up to this point," He stated to me, as I chuckled a bit. Though he might be in a depressed state now, his mouth can't stay still when it comes to having knowledge or asking questions. He must be having a hard time trying to keep everything to himself.
I get it now. He was afraid probably because he killed people. And I don't know yet if he knows it's because of the accidental magic that occured to him that made him do that. If he does, he will be probably more forgiving about himself.
"Oh? To tell you the truth, I bought some few books about it. So pretty much know some few things," I lied, as he nodded, believing it instantly to my guilt. Though he snorted a bit, as his face says 'I guess richies have everything huh?'
"I actually grab some few ones, want to try?" Seeing his down face, I offered as I secretly cast an Accio spell in my bag. And his mood changed widely
his eyes having delight to them. I guess books are still his ways of getting high.....
He acted like he was unimpressed or nonchalant about it, his eyes giving constants glimps to my bag.
"Oh really? Are they any good?" He asked then, his British accent very thick.
"Try for yourself then," I handed three books, in same thickness as I put my hands in my bag, seeing the spell successfully summoned the three. His, Justin's mind was regretting it yet his heart and body was not. He quickly grab the book as soon as I handed it. He then promptly made his way to the first page, skimming through the introductions, adjusting his broken round glasses as it was nearly falling apart how used it is. Having a hard time reading as he was short sighted with low vision.
I swallowed as he was helpless, I stood up, touching his glasses that were covered by his soil colored bangs, unknown to him as a I casted a silent 'Oculus Reparo', a repairing charm for glasses.
His chocolate eyes widens, seeing the change of how clear the glasses becomes. He looked up to me about to say something but I instead already cut him off.
"In exchange for that, where's Tasia?" I asked then as he gratefully answered, not allowing himself too in debt for people.
"I honestly don't know, she was off in the Nevile's boy toad hunt or something," His ruffy voice was evident, and I nodded going out of the compartment leaving him alone for a bit. As he stayed speechless about magic.
"Excellent, mind if you-" Thanking him, I thrown over the dozens of chocolate frogs to him as he surprisingly and hesitatingly received it, having no choice as I left the compartment after.
"Thanks," I flash him a smile as he almost pushes all those chocolates away to the ground, only to stop immediately realizing the clean up.
Going out, I can say I'm pretty happy now. They're here. But I took the time as I rummaged through each compartment finding that ginger girl.
If they were indeed here, Why didn't I remember them so? Did they transferred out? So that's why as years passed in the past, I noticed how we're left with 38 students in our batch. Meaning it's them two that were gone. But why so? Did something happened?
It did felt good for some reason when I come to knew about Justin's situation. Must have been very rough for him. Well, there's Tasia, I'm sure he will change in no time..... right?
It's confusing. Did something overall just change in the past, which is now, because of me? Sure I don't remember so at all. And will it become 41 students now that I'm here? Is God just messing with me now?
Merlin, your having a fun time now aren't ya?
In each compartment I check onto, in the second section of the train where our compartment is placed, there was no sign of a ginger haired girl at all.
It was just some few lower years, 2nds, 3rds, that always acts cocky in front of the first years, like bitch, I'm in the batch of heroes, so please, if you'll excuse me....
There are few faces that I recognized from my soon to be classmates, it brings me to ask, 40 students are picked every year, then there's 10 each houses. But those ones picked, is it always in equal count? Like did the quill of acceptance specifically find 10 Gryffindors, Slytherins, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff? What if there's a student that overlaps the 10th mark and became the 11th Ravenclaw or something? Do Hogwarts do something about it? If the person is supposed to be a Slytherin, but it's already occupied with 10 students, then will he go to the house where's there's a spot? That's messed up then...
It brings me to realization how much still I don't know about this world. And that can be pretty dissatisfying.
Third Section, Fourth Section, no hints of that girl. I wouldn't really go at the end part as they're full of pureblooded guys that already know each other. Draco probably is there too.
But they don't rule the train, I picked up my pace going to the end, still checking every compartment to find Tasia. And in the very end, as I suspected, where as I check compartments, I saw the very Tasia I was looking for, but with a twist. While rummaging the "pureblooded section", I got gazes and complaints by the pureblooded kids, Greengrass, MacMillan, Flint, Frawley on how dare I, a muggle, touch their compartment even. Dang these kids.
Well, with the twist I mean she's in a fight again. She's rather cloth with comfortable....fighting clothes, and a bandana that covers her forehead to not let her ginger hair fall to his eyes and interrupt her fight. Fight with Malfoy.
There's Crabbe, Goyle, and the blond prince in the middle looking all mug as they face the boyish girl in front of them.
"You filthy mUdblooD! Look at you, your clothes are more worse than the Weasleys!" Draco took the strike, well, no provocation taken as Tasia didn't even know what pureblooded nor what Weasleys are to be compared to them.
"Wait..... if your here, who's scaring away the crows from our crops? " She was starting to get into her position, and also maybe Draco's nerves, delivering a good comeback, yet clearly looking for openings while Draco is distracted by her insults.
"What rubbish?! Who uses melee in a magic school?"
The British accent of the blond was clear, raising his eyes as he felt incredulous of fighting melee in a magic world. As in this world, there's only duels, spell duels. Long distances ones. And training your body foundation is not that popular, as being a wizard, your body is all set for life. Gonna be well maintained as long as you regulate your core regularly.
And within those moments, Tasia put a fist on the Malfoy's face almost making him puke out a tooth. There's the obvious red mark in his cheeks, his gums mellowed due to how hard it was hit. He almost fainted like the exaggerated kid he is, Crabbe and Goyle behind him as they catch his fall.
I don't even know if this is scripted but this hella looks childish as fuck. He was starting to regain consciousness and I knew the result for Tasia in the end will be expulsion if Draco's father goes that far. This might be a reason why maybe they dissappeared in the last. So I quickly push in through the hallway grabbing Tasia's strong arms that resist from my grip.
Her annoyed face stared at mine, only to have change of expression. "What? Is-"
"My father will hear about this! You mudblood!" Draco shouted, other compartments started kicking open, seeing the scene. I bit my lip, uninterested of further viewers. And Draco didn't seems to notice me. So that's good.
"Cmon now, Justin's waiting," I promptly then add some more forces in my hand as she was unbelievably very strong.
She struggled to get out of my iron grip that is reddening her wrist, as much as I don't like it to be.
"G-get off m-"
I waited no further and grabbed her off out of the section seeing the pureblood's threatening eyes at us.
Tasia was still urging to get out of my grip, so I sent her off to the other section by complete force, unfortunately making her fall, but that ain't matter, shit like that doesn't pain her.
"Hey! What's wrong with you? And how are you even here!?" In the Fourth Section, most seventh years are boarded in this one. And I definitely feel those sharp eyes that wants to peirce my back.
"Shut up for a minute, let's go," I exclaimed a bit, and after calming her tantrum, she reluctantly followed my steps, and arriving at the door of our compartment, I then see Justin chilling around with the second book I gave.
"I see, you're back...." He silently said like a sophisticated gentlemen.
"Oh you don't say?" I ask him out of control of my sarcasm. He grunts and Tasia just boarded the compartment looking all shit.
"You guys are not answering me yet.." She states looking the window.
"Well, Im picked too, plain as that," I stated as they don't probably know the fact how rare is it to be picked just like that. She seems to treat it fairly well and simple, believing it immediately.
It was silent for a moment, and I sat beside Justin facing Tasia in front.
"You've change suddenly" My voice pops up out of nowhere, and Justin didn't left a look at me even, the usual clueless Tasia left in her seat.
"Who may be your target?" Justin questions, picking a page in the book of a more deep information of History of Magic.
"You, you're very complex now. You're ignoring me for one bit and now your speaking like the usual," I then just blurted out all my thoughts.
He snickered a bit, "Whatever you say."
He wasn't taking this seriously I knew, so I then got to my point, "Look, I know your depressed about... the people you killed, but there's a reaso-"
"Shut your fucking mouth," His growl was deep, his face was fakely putting a facade, while his true feelings were being let out. Is that his weakness? He's sensitive isn't he about that topic..
Tasia was left there, in silence which is very rare, since she would mostly go into people's business 99% of the time.
"It's called accidental magic," I continued, but he wasn't looking like he was really interested, his eyes completely staring at the window that fastly shows the surroundings, and Tasia was just looking at me explaining.
"It's when you don't know yet that there is magic existing. Being able to not control it. And so your magic blows up.... and did the thing, so it's not your fault at all."
"You can either consult Dumbledore about it. Our headmaster, and he will probably do something about it," I explained to him, but his eyes were rather dark and heavy. Eyebugs that lies big under his eyes, completely ruining his soft face.
"Tsk" He sneered at us, leaving as he opens the lock of the door, sliding it as he stops for a moment.
"but that doesn't change who I am"
Three O, like trio? And three orphans...? Okay.. I go out now......
Justin, you okay? Need some milk maybe?
