1st Exam pt 1

There was a huge group of people on the outskirts of the 'fake village' which was actually just the abandoned clan area. Right now they were all looking at a jounin who was standing above them just enough so they could all see him. Once he got the attention he explained the rules.

"This will be the 1st round of the exam. The main location of the round would take place in front of us, it is a fake village. The 1st round rules are that you will go into the village, each person will have a unique 'target' in possession of information but you will not know who it is.

You will get a shortlist of character and personality traits and why you are after them and then have to gather intel from the village and villagers to determine who their target is. Completion time matters so impeding your rivals is encouraged however destruction of the village may scare off your target which would result in a failure. You have three days to find the target, kill them and get to the point of the next exam"

When they heard this most of the participants got even more nervous. They probably thought this would be easy but it definitely wouldn't be. Even Kisame and the others were a little nervous.

-With the 5 kage-

Akashi had already told them the rules for all of the rounds, they knew it would be difficult but the 2nd exam seemed pretty hard for mere genin. After chatting for a little the exam finally started. Akashi had put cameras all around so they could watch the tests and how the genin performed.

-Kisame POV-

I was jumping through the trees while reading my paper of the basic information.

Name: Unknown

Age: Late 30's

Appearance: Dark hair, Light brown eyes, around 6 feet and wears a jacket.

Reason: a Missing ninja from the stone village.

The description was not very descriptive but it was understandable because too much information would make it easy. I saw a small group of 5 or so people in an ally-way clearly talking about something shady.

They began looking around to see if anybody was there then they talked in a low voice. "Did ya hear bout that missing ninja that's been causin' trouble?" because they were acting like thugs they would use slang to talk.

"Yeah man, I've been hearin' that he been causin' trouble up in field 3 but the police are too afraid or Sumthin' it's crazy man!" After hearing this I ran towards training ground three. Before the test started we got 30 minutes to try and remember the layout of the village.

It didn't take me long to get to training ground three once I got there I began searching. I was looking but couldn't find anything, I was even using the sensory jutsu I could use but didn't find anything.

Before I walked away I sensed something behind me so I turned around quickly and shot an earth spear. The man in the bush barely managed to dodge it. I thought I had caught my prey but upon closer look, this was not the person he was looking for.

Instead of wasting time I unleashed water and earth jutsu until I knocked out the other ninja. When I got closer I noticed he was a cloud shinobi. I then searched him and found his info paper. It was the exact same as mine, it seems there were multiple people on one target. This meant I had to move faster. It also seemed the information earlier was false.

-Orochimaru POV-

I had already summoned some snakes to go and get information but it never hurt to get some myself. I was not the best when it came to info gathering but if I learned anything from that idiot Jiraiya it was that bars and clubs were a great place to start.

Before I entered the bar I thought it would be pretty dark and a sad attitude which I could ask for information in, but when I entered that was not at all the case. When I got in I heard tons of girls laughing and giggling and when I saw them I looked straight at the middle where a white-haired kid was laughing and drinking.

'God the idiot' of course he had also used a transformation jutsu but is what to get info not to waste time like a moron. "Should you really be wasting time like this?" Jiraiya then looked up at him.

-Jiraiya POV-

There I was in the middle of four amazingly beautiful girls having the time of my life but of course that asshole Orochimaru had to come and ruin it. "Shut up! I'm doing research." because Orochimaru came all the ladies went away.

This was the sadist moment of my life! "Well, now that my fun is over I should go searching." Orochimaru stared at him with a dumb expression. "What information do you have to search with in the first place?" I just waved my hand, if he didn't get it now then maybe he never would.

Now that all the girls were gone I left, the information I got was very helpful apparently my target was actually planning on leaving the village tonight. And if that happened then I would fail, so I had to get moving.

I started heading to the outskirts of the village where I knew he would leave to wait for him. It only took 5 hours or so of waiting before he came into my sight. My plan was to wait until he got before the gate and then trap him with earth walls and use taijutsu.

Before he got out of the village four walls came up to block his way. I then jumped down and attacked, I first used a faint to catch him off guard then used a low kick to trip him up. Once he fell to the floor I took out a Kunai and shoved it into his chest.

Once he 'died' a poof of smoke came up and when it cleared a message appeared and it read. 'Congratulations, you have passed the first test! Please wait two days before coming to the second phase area. You can do whatever you want in those two days other than help others. The time you will arrive is 7 AM. Notice: everybody's second phase location is different.'

-normal POV-

The message that Jiraiya read was partly true. The actual second phase would start in two days at 7 AM but the location was the same for everybody but the reason it said the opposite was because once the person got in range of the location a massive genjutsu would be placed on them and if there were other people with them they would likely notice the genjutsu.

What the genjutsu did was it blocked out all other people and only showed your biggest fear. Of course, you could break out of the genjutsu normally but it was too strong for any genin to get out of that way.

The easier way to get out was to fight your fear and win, the person would not be defeated until you completely were unafraid of them. Once those requirements were met the genjutsu would be undone. This was a test to see how ninja would perform in stressful situations, genjutsu detection, and fighting fear.
