Days out

-Orochimaru POV-

Once we all split up I began to walk around the village. It was much bigger than back home. And not only the outside was secure, even in the village, there were police patrolling making sure nothing went wrong.

I knew that because of the deal with the rain and land of iron that they had much better metals than Konoha. I began looking for the weapons shop hoping to maybe get some weapons here. Not only was the metal special they even had strange weapons.

After walking around I found the weapons shop and walked in. it was mostly wood on the inside, the lower quality weapons were left out while the better ones were locked up. I began looking at the weapons.

The first one that caught my eye was something called 'The Roman Scissor' it was very oddly shaped. It looked like you got a glove and added a horizontal knife onto it. Looking at the description this is what it said.

'The scissor is a rather unusual weapon. The weapon has two parts: a long tube that protects the user's arm, and at the end of the tube, there is a long, thin cylindrical-shaped pipe with a crescent-shaped blade. It is this unique-looking element of the weapon that makes it popular. The tube-like structure that is attached to the arm was also used as a shield to block attacks. The shape and nature of the weapon made it versatile, lethal, and capable of blocking an opponent's blows from stabbing and slashing.'

I did like the idea so I put it into the maybe category. I then moved on to see weapons like long blades, katanas, and such. It was a while until I found another interesting one. This weapon looked kind of like a Katana but also not really. It was called the Khopesh. I looked at this description also.

'Although sometimes called a sickle-sword, the khopesh was more of a cross between a sword and a battle-ax. The blade had a pronounced curve, like a sickle, though only the outside edge was sharpened. Much like the battle-ax, the khopesh could be used as a hacking weapon, though its shape also made it efficient at slashing. The inner part of the curve was equally functional and could trap an arm or yank away an opponent's shield. Some had small snares for that very purpose.'

This weapon also intrigued me. After looking at my money I asked if I could test out the weapons before buying. "Yeah, you can test it in the back room. But if you break it you have to pay for it."

After I got the response I walked into the room. Just looking at it I could tell it would be pretty difficult to break out and steal it. I then tested the weapon out against some practice boards and decided to buy them. I also bought some kunai along with it.

After buying it I walked out and saw sensei and Jiraiya "It's time, the exams are starting." we both walked to get Tsunade.

-Tsunade POV-

As I was walking around this place not knowing what to do I was staring at my necklace. 'I miss Grandfather' I kept walking until I saw a strange building with lots of shining lights and noises. I walked up to it but before I could get in there was a sign that said '18+ ONLY' because I wasn't 18 I used a transformation jutsu to make myself look older and walked in.

Once I was inside I saw tons of tables and spinning wheels, I walked over to the table and above the table, it said 'Blackjack' I had never heard of this game so I read the rules on the sign.

'The most important blackjack rule is simple: beat the dealer's hand without going over 21. If you get 21 points exactly on the money, that is called a "blackjack." When you're dealt a blackjack 21, the payout is 2:1. That means you win $200 for every $100 bet at 2:1. The way you play is to get dealt cards, whatever person gets closer to 21 without going over wins, if you go over you lose. An Ace can be 1 or 11.' (I switched to $ because it's hard to find a USD to Ryo converter)

I didn't fully understand but I sat down anyway. I then got my cards, I had a 7 and a 3. I decided to get another card and I got to a total of 14, this time I stayed. The dealer flipped over his card and had a King and an Ace, which was a total of 21.

I kept playing a few more hands but the dealer got 21 seven times in a row! 'Do I really have this bad of luck! This cant be normal, this has to be a scam!' I couldn't take it anymore and I threw my fist into the table and broke it. Everybody got scared but I could care less.

I walked outside and saw Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Sensei. "We should head to the exam site, so let's go." We then left to compete in the 1st round of the exams.
