Mission

–Hokage's Office–

"I'm here, what did you call me here for?" Rize asked.

"I'm assigning you a mission, the dangerousness of the mission is considered to be around A rank to S rank since you might face someone extremely dangerous." Minato said.

"You're already assigning me a life threatening mission? How could you be this harsh?" Rize asked, she was acting as if she was hurt.

Minato raised an eyebrow, "Are you saying you won't be able to handle it?"

"I can handle it, just tell me what I'm supposed to do, and I'll take care of it." Rize replied.

"That's what I like to hear. You'll be intercepting a military supplement that'll be taken from Tanigakure and Sunagakure. But be careful, they have multiple Jonin level assassins protecting them from the outside." Minato explained.

"I see, so kill the assassins, and take the military supplement or destroy it. That's the gist of it right?" Rize asked.

Minato sighed at how simple Rize made it sound when it was very dangerous considering the skills of the assassins. Although Konohagakure was strong, there was a reason why there were four other Great Shinobi Countries.

"Yes, make sure the job is a success, and don't leave anyone alive." Minato said.

"Yes, yes. You got a map for me to navigate through the area? I'm not familiar with the roads." Rize said.

"Here." Minato said as he tossed Rize a scroll. "The mission starts now, it's best to intercept as soon as possible."

Rize gave Minato a salute, "I'll make sure to kill all the enemies and bring back the military supplies."

"And come back alive."

"That too."

Rize walked out the door and nearly bumped into Mikoto who seemed to have heard their conversation. She noticed Mikoto had a worried look on her face and her eyes were also angry.

"Ah, Mikoto, what are you doing here?" Rize asked. "I know you listened to our conversation by the way."

Mikoto sighed and knelt down, "I'm just worried for your safety, but since you're confident, I guess I'm going to have to let you go anyway."

"Don't worry, I'll come back without even a scratch on my body." Rize said.

And with that being said, Rize left the hokage building, and left a clone to listen to Minato getting an earful from Mikoto. She giggled at how Minato tried to reassure Mikoto that it'll be fine. Though, she was filled with an unrecognizable feeling that made her warm.

Rize walked out of the village and opened the scroll that was given to her. It labeled all of the routes throughout the different villages. She was surprised by how much information was given on the scroll. Konoha definitely excelled in gathering intel on enemies.

"Now that I've memorized the map, let's get going." Rize muttered as she ran through the forests. She applied ice on the bottom of her feet to slide weave through the forest at a quick pace.

One thing she noticed was that her energy wasn't depleting at all, even when her Sharingan was active, it didn't strain her at all. Though Rize shrugged it off by making an excuse that her chakra storage is just big.

With her precise use of her ice ability, Rize made it to the road the carriage was supposed to be on in an hour. Up ahead, she saw the carriage that had multiple traces of chakra inside it.

Though she couldn't run straight towards them. With her Sharingan activated, Rize saw the multiple traces of chakra spread out from in front of her and to her left.

There were about at least a dozen of them or more. She couldn't risk charging straight ahead and bringing all of their attention on her. It was too dangerous.

So that left one plan, to take them down one by one.

Rize put on her mask and quietly crept up to one of the assassins that were jumping from branch to branch. She perfectly timed her sneak attack. When he was in the air where he was most vulnerable, she jumped, and pulled him down.

*TSK*

Rize turned the assassin into a popsicle before breaking him into different pieces. The cold sensation from the ice gave her a comforting feeling, the feeling of being closer to her former self again.

"Now then, let's focus up."

Rize swiftly took down multiple assassins in the quickest way possible, forming ice on the enemies so they couldn't scream when they were taken down.

Soon enough, the assassins were bound to catch on when they realized there were less chakra traces than usual. They went to a halt and alerted the other members.

"Everyone! There's an assassin lurking somewhere in the trees! Be on the lookout! Formation A!"

The dozen assassins surrounded the carriage as they proceeded through the trail. This made it harder for Rize to perform a sneak attack on them. Though she wasn't panicking, that would lead her to an early grave.

That's where there was always a back up plan, just kill them all before they could even attack her. Currently, they weren't aware of her current position, and that was why she had the advantage.

Rize formed a shadow clone to try and distract them, but it was automatically hit with a fireball jutsu. And just like that, her position was revealed.

"Great Fireball!"

A large fireball was shot at the tree, Rize quickly moved out of the way to not get hit by the explosion. Though, that caused her to stand in the middle of the road. She had a clear view of the assassins now, but the same could be said for the assassins.

"Ah, I'm just a passerby, ignore me." Rize said with a laugh as she slowly stepped towards the other side of the forest.

"Get her!"

"Well, it was worth a try." Rize murmured. She formed an ice wall in front of her to counter the fireball that came at her.

*BOOM*

Smoke appeared and Rize disappeared from the spot she was in. She summoned several icicles and threw them at the assassins randomly. It was a distraction to misdirect their attention.

And now that they were focused on the icicles and the shadow clone she made when the smoke appeared.

It was time to bring out her true ability.
