After a long day at school, I decided to head home while my clones trained.
"I'm Home!"
Entering my house I was surprised to see my father waiting for me. This was unusual due to how busy Dad usually is mainly because he is Gramps, right-hand man.
"Wow, you are home early today I thought for sure you'd be busy with work since the Academy just opened."
"Haha, well let's just say that I asked my Father-in-law to give me a couple of month's leave."
He took a couple of month's leave? Why would he do that? From what I can remember dads never taken a vacation in his life. Mainly because of how dedicated he is. Honestly, he'd make the perfect white-collar worker.
"Why pops? What came up?" hopefully its not because of the war that's coming. I'm not ready and we still need at least one more clan to help us.
"Well, you see it's a tradition in our clan for the Fathers to teach their sons Fuinjutsu once it was time. So I decided to take some time off to teach you from now on I'll still work but only while you're at school."
Nice! So it's finally time for me to start learning the clan's techniques. Hopefully, my calligraphy practice has been good enough for me to do well.
"When do we start!"
"Right now, follow me I already set you up a spot in my study"
While I was following my dad I could feel how happy he was. I guess this is something he's been looking forward to. Like a dad in my old world taking his son fishing this must be the equivalent but for Uzumaki.
Eventually, we reached my dad's office this was a room in the house I'd never been in before. Apparently, this room kept a lot of important documents that are even older than my dad's.
Opening the door we entered a large room with scrolls and books stored throughout the walls. In the back of the room there was a large desk with tons of paperwork that didn't look completed and next to it was a smaller desk with fresh paper and plenty of writing utensils.
"You interested in the books and scrolls on the walls?"
"Yea a little, I remember that you used to tell me that this room had important documents is that them?"
"That's right these are the documents I told you about before. Most of the journals you see are from our ancestors. They're filled with ideas and data from when the clan was experimenting with Fuinjutsu. While those scrolls you see throughout the walls are filled with unfinished seals. Maybe one day when you're a seal master you can try completing some of these."
Unfinished seals? That might have a lot of potential in the future. Any avid Naruto fan knows just how much potential seals have.
"I'll definitely give it a shot once I'm good enough."
"You better hurry to catch up or else your old man here might beat you to completing some of these"
So he's been working on these this whole time. No wonder he has some unfinished documents on his desk. I wonder what kind of seal he's been working on
"Well, son this here is your desk every day after school I want you here practicing"
Walking over to my desk I notice a large book That says Fuinjutsu book 1 Beginners.
when I opened the book each page had a different symbol until it reached the end of a chapter and there it had the explosive seal.
"So this book teaches the symbols used in Fuinjutsu and also the seal in which those symbols are used?" I asked my dad
"Exactly, the symbols will also get more complex and confusing as you progress through the books."
This looks complicated ,luckily the Shadow clone jutsu is broken. The only thing I got to worry about is the headaches I'll receive after absorbing my clones.
"Alright before you get started there are two very important things when it comes to Fuinjutsu. The first is the symbols they must be perfect if not the entire seal can be ruined. Second is how we write our seals. Whenever you write you have to direct your chakra into the ink. This ink is made out of special materials and is highly reactive to chakra but if there is ever a point in war where you don't have ink and you are out of seals use your blood. Blood is sometimes a better conduit for seals than ink because of how closely it's connected to the user's chakra. That's why certain groups use their blood for seals but that's a talk for another time. Now that you have a basic understanding of what to do try it out."
Glancing down at the paper I picked up my Fude (Brush) dipped it in ink and tried pushing some chakra into it. The ink was responsive and actively tried to pull in a light amount of my chakra.
Wow, this thing really does absorb chakra I wonder what they used to make this.
looking back down at the paper I began to write the first symbol and I was able to actively see my chakra get stuck to the page thanks to my mind's eye. It didn't take me too long but eventually, I was done with my first seal.
"What the… I call beginners luck. Continue writing the rest of the seals and I'll let you know if you make any mistakes."
Feeling happy about my success I refocused on the task at hand. It felt like I lost track of time. My full focus was on the seals and making sure everything was perfect. Without me being aware my eyes began to slightly glow with a red ring enhancing the movements of my hands with the Fude.
Luckily my dad didn't notice because his full attention was on my hands and how I was gracefully making the full explosion tag on my first try.
"Akashi Stop"
When my dad told me to stop I pulled back my brush not to mess up the tag. While the red ring in my eyes began to fade away.
"Did I mess up?" Tch, it was going so well too I was on the last symbol.
"Actually Akashi it was the opposite you were doing perfectly but that is exactly the problem most Uzumaki usually mess up the first seal but you… you were about to complete the whole tag on your first try"
"What?!" Am I actually a genius? Then why did you stop me?"
"I stopped you because you could have killed us at the end there. You see there's one more important thing about seals I didn't mention before. I thought I didn't have to teach it to you because you technically shouldn't have even been at this level but here we are. You see Fuinjutsu seals have two kinds of symbols"
what I almost killed us… and now there are more rules to Fuinjusu too?
"What are the two kinds of symbols?" I couldn't help but ask he got me curious so now I got to know
"Well, I might as well teach you since you reached this far. The first is the ones you were writing they put in the parameters you can say. For example, the one you just finished writing makes it so that the Snake hand seal activates the tag. That's a parameter as the seals get more complicated so do the parameters. Next is the seal you were about to write. That's the directive you were writing the kanji symbol for Explosion basically putting what you wanted it to do. Later on, seals can get more complicated and the directives aren't always in kanji like the eight trigrams seal but we're getting off track the reason I stopped you from writing explosion is that if not done right it will explode and I wasn't willing to risk it till you had more experience."
To think that Fuinjutsu had such depth. Looks like I'm going to have to invest a lot more time into this than I thought.
"Thanks, Dad I'll stick to the parameters for now then"
"hm good, I can't wait to tell your mom how much progress you made. You're probably the most talented person I've ever seen in Fuinjutsu." With that, I spent the next couple of hours practicing Perameter seals from the first book.
"Alright Akashi let's stop here you got school tomorrow morning you need to be in good condition tomorrow" said Dad while yawning.
"Hai hai"
......…
Hey guys hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Not much is really mentioned about how Fuinjutsu works in Naruto so I had to make something up that made sense. Too be honest I'm quite happy with it's outcome and can't wait to have the MC invest in those unfinished seals 👊
Also I checked the Poll earlier and Mei apparently has a lot of support! Mei would make sense as well once the bloodline purge.
