"I don't know how many times I have repeated this to myself, but he is truly a monster," Darui sighed, staring at Zeus, who had replaced Killer B. "And he also appeared out of nowhere, which makes it even more unsettling."
Killer B stared at the scene before him, not even entertaining himself with rap. "That just shows the vastness of the world. It's a good thing that he doesn't seem evil because otherwise, the world would be doomed. I have no idea who would be able to stop him, even with the support of an entire army."
Darui nodded. "We should keep our relationship on a good note."
As they continued to talk, there was a shift change in the surroundings. Chakra suddenly exploded from Gaara's body, and the two shinobi were forced to take a step back. Meanwhile, Zeus removed his hand from the kid, opening his eyes and looking at the unfolding scene with a smile.
Gaara's body changed, taking on the appearance that Zeus had just seen. Then, Gaara's eyes also sprang open, and he stood up, looking at his own two hands in wonder.
"You have succeeded?" Darui asked, his mouth slightly open. He hadn't been present when Killer B was taking control of his beast, but he had heard stories that it wasn't easy at all. However, Gaara managed to do everything in a matter of a few hours. Was it the sign of a genius, or was it the influence of this mysterious man?
For some reason, Darui couldn't help but think that it was the latter.
"I don't know how you defeated that cat so fast, but congratulations." Killer B stepped forward, a smile on his face as he stretched out his fist.
Gaara also smiled in response, hitting Killer B's fist. "Thanks for the help. If not for you guys, I wouldn't have been able to have this opportunity."
While Gaara said those words, he sneakily took a glance toward Zeus and nodded, expressing his gratitude. Zeus snickered. He wasn't that fond of helping others, and he rarely did so, but it didn't feel that bad. He had to admit this much.
Remembering something, Zeus grabbed two scrolls from his back and threw them toward Killer B, who caught both with one hand. "These are the techniques that I have promised to give you. I have tried to write them in a way that could be comprehended by everyone."
Honestly, at first, Zeus was feeling skeptical, and he gave them the techniques that would be the hardest to learn, despite them being strong, so as not to give their village a lot of power. However, along this journey, Zeus had come to like them both a lot, so he no longer cared about such trivial matters and tried to make it easier for them to learn.
In case their village somehow becomes his enemy in the future, Zeus wouldn't have any trouble dealing with them anyway. Opening the scrolls and looking over them, Killer B slightly raised his eyebrows and nodded. "We may have started on the wrong note, but I feel like we can continue our partnership in the future. If you ever need support, our village will be glad to help."
"Likewise. In case you meet someone too strong to handle, inform me. I have wanted to have a normal battle for a long time already," Zeus said, suddenly thinking about his behavior. Had he ever made friends in his existence? Not those gods that conversed with him due to their fear, but normal ones.
No, rather, he had never even tried to, for any unnecessary affection was a weakness. Yet now he was promising to help a village when it was in need. He was changing, both in mind and heart. He couldn't escape it anymore. No, he just had to admit.
'What is so wrong about some change?' Zeus concluded in his mind, removing his gaze from Killer B and instead glancing back at Gaara, who was still fascinated by his own appearance.
"So what about it, Gaara? Do you want to check out what you are able to do now?" Zeus asked. Gaara didn't even fully register the question before he was nodding, bringing a laugh to everyone present. Zeus's eyes fell on Killer B and Darui again. "You guys don't mind if we cause some disturbance on the island? The turtle beneath won't suddenly go livid, right?"
"How did... I am not even surprised anymore," Darui sighed, putting his hand on his forehead in distress. Then, Darui moved his hand, gesturing for them to just go. "Do whatever you want. No, actually, Zeus, would you mind not going too wild? With your power, I am afraid that you may cause some natural disaster or something."
"Yo, he's right, though," Killer B said, then smiled. "I will go with them to oversee whether the situation is under control."
Darui looked at Killer B skeptically. "Stop lying. I know that you also just want to see what Gaara is able to do."
"You caught me, but what are you going to do about it?" Killer B said these words and sprinted out of the room, leaving everyone surprised, for Zeus and Gaara still remained there.
"I will tidy up this place," Darui sighed once again. "Just please have some self-control, guys."
"Will do," Zeus smiled, walking out of the room, followed by Gaara strolling from behind. Darui soughed, staring at the departing figures. Was this truly a good idea to just leave them be? Gaara was still a kid. Zeus didn't strike him as someone overly mature, while Killer B just screamed trouble.
'I just hope that when I walk out of this place, I will not be met with complete devastation,' Darui thought, collecting all the stuff on the ground and preparing to close the door. Little did he know that the trio had already started going wild.
"Alright, Gaara. Let's test your physical power first," Zeus created a shield out of lightning, similar to the one that stopped Shukaku's tail and made it levitate in front of Gaara. "Punch this."
"With all your strength, yo," Killer B added from the side.
Gaara closed his eyes momentarily, concentrating, as his hand suddenly exploded from the spot, colliding with the shield. An echo reverberated throughout the entire place as the shield barely held on, though no cracks appeared on it.
Zeus raised an eyebrow. That was powerful. Perhaps even more than Shukaku's tail. Gaara took a step back, glancing at his hand, as a frown appeared on his face. "This is not my full power."
"Not full power?" Zeus asked.
"Yeah, I feel like I can't put all my weight into my hand," Gaara mumbled, as he suddenly wiggled his tail, an idea forming in his head. He closed his eyes, concentrating once again, as he suddenly jumped and turned around in the air, producing an earth-shattering attack with his tail.
Upon contact with the shield, Zeus's jutsu shattered immediately, sending a wave of air Zeus's way, lifting his hair. A smile painted his face as he realized that he might have accidentally created a monster.
