Since the battle, Zeus was once injected with the liquid, unable to confront Orochimaru in his disheveled state and with no chakra. Zeus wasn't afraid that Orochimaru might kill him, even though the Curse Mark energy didn't overpower him in the end.
Zeus knew that Orochimaru was quite powerful. That man would definitely be able to notice the progress of chaotic energy within his body, thus giving the Curse Mark some more time and hoping that everything would turn out how he wanted eventually.
Since that moment, Zeus hadn't woken up again, probably cause Orochimaru decided to not intrude on Zeus's internal battle. Little did he know that leaving him be was actually what Zeus wanted.
A long time passed when Zeus finally felt a change within his body. Chaotic energy spread further and further, finally tapping into the divinity. The divinity was clearly disgusted being confronted by such an insignificant being, suddenly growing bigger, thus causing a chain of events to ensue.
The lightning thread that was still hanging on Zeus's brain twitched, then produced a little, seemingly negligible shockwave. However, that was all that was needed for Zeus to slowly open his eyes, which he closed immediately after.
His eyes felt heavy and not like usual. With some investigations, he understood that he was placed in a capsule of some sort, the water surrounding him. It was probably the only thing that was satiating him with nutrition and keeping him alive.
'There is no one here. Success.' Zeus mumbled internally, looking through the glass and seeing an empty underground laboratory. Except for numerous other capsules, Zeus didn't see any supervisors or Orochimaru. Not letting this chance slip away, Zeus proceeded with his plan without skipping a beat.
Closing his eyes, Zeus focused on the divinity, forcing and demanding it release its pristine power. Sucking it off dry and leaving it to rest, Zeus gathered all that ascended energy and moved it along his body. Chaotic energy from the Cruse Mark was reacting wildly, pushing away as soon as it neared.
Zeus forced all the Curse Mark energy to gather near his stomach, whilst compelling the divinity there as well. While in the water, Zeus put his palm one against another, thus beginning to twist both energies around each other.
In the beginning, it was difficult. Curse Mark's energy was weak, but tremendous in amount, while Divine energy was barely a drop, yet it held the force of an unhuman realm. Zeus circulated them in one motion, eventually coming to an understanding of how to do it the most efficiently.
Then, Zeus put it against the seal from the other side of his stomach, blocking the path of his chakra. His head started feeling dizzy, but he simply kept going. Chakra started flowing through his body again, undisturbed by the seal anymore.
Zeus added additional chakra to the circulation happening near his stomach, making it even more dense and more dangerous. The glass around him started cracking, unable to contain such energy. Finally, Zeus stopped circulating it and pushed all that energy toward the seal, causing it to break immediately.
Everything happened in an instant, as all that accumulated energy left his body through the seal, thus destroying it. The next thing that Zeus felt was an extremely strong wind pressing against his back, and then the collision against concrete.
Slowly opening his eyes, Zeus was faced with a different kind of scene. He was no longer in the laboratory. No, rather, a tremendous change had taken place here, for a massive void was presented before his eyes. The concrete that was here before had been completely evaporated, whilst red burns were still present all around.
The people that were placed in the capsules disappeared as well. Zeus briefly had a confused look on his face before he put a hand against his face, leaning back against the wall and smiling. It seemed that this chaotic energy that he had created was too much for the environment to handle, thus causing this laser-like explosion.
"That was pretty cool." Zeus snickered, glancing down at his own body. It looked weak and fragile, coated in various cuts and burns. He could practically see his own bones. He saw a piece of glass on the ground, which he picked up to see his own reflection.
His hair had grown long, extending towards and passing his shoulders, while his cheekbones looked sucked in. It was a huge shift compared to before, and he looked much older, maybe 15 years old. Momentarily, Zeus closed his eyes.
It all felt so surreal. Since he was waking up rarely and for short instances of time, Zeus didn't feel like even half a year had passed, yet time was a tricky thing. Though, for Zeus that didn't feel like a lot of time. He had once entered a rip in the space and came out after three hundred years, even though it felt like only a few hours passed.
However, for a mortal, that was quite a long time, and Zeus could have probably attained an improbable level of power already, if not for Orochimaru. That's why, he was going to ultimately have his sweet revenge. Taking a deep breath, Zeus circulated the chakra, his veins screaming in happiness at the familiarity.
"I should probably also remove this little thing from my neck," Zeus mumbled, glancing toward the Curse Mark. Even though it was a bit annoying, this hexic thing had actually made his escape much easier, which was quite ironic.
Touching upon the divinity, Zeus pushed some of the pristine power toward the upper part of his body. He easily fought through the chaotic energy, thus colliding with the Curse Mark directly. It disappeared from his skin immediately, as if it had never been before.
Then, Zeus stood up, stretching his hands and neck. Killing intent spread through his eyes, as dangerous intent radiated from his body. Lightning gathered all around his body, and he exploded from the spot, disappearing. "Overlock, 40%."
His organs had grown bigger and he could allocate more mass to keeping Overlock stable, thus enabling him to move at more extreme speeds. He sped through the tunnels of this underground base like a bolt of lightning, barely stopping anywhere, trying to find that bastard Orochimaru.
However, eventually, instead of Orochimaru, Zeus felt a different kind of threat. An arrow appeared right in front of him, which Zeus evaded easily by slightly moving his head. He then stopped, staring into the darkness of the tunnel. Four figures came out of there, each of them wearing purple belts around their bellies.
They looked quite distinctive and gave off quite an aura, but it was barely enough for Zeus to feel any threat. All of them had Curse Marks on their bodies, which spread all throughout like a spiderweb. It looked really disgusting.
"Might as well stretch my bones." Zeus smiled, feeling the tremendous amount of chakra traveling through his body.
