Naruto: Reincarnated Zeus

Over the years of ruling over other gods, Zeus had grown bored. Nothing brought him any joy. Love, death, music - nothing. That's why Zeus decided to do something unheard of - to strip away all his divinity and reincarnate as a mortal. - Hello! This is my first fanfiction, so any reviews or power stones are deeply appreciated. Everything happens in Naruto. There is not a lot of emphasis on romance, so don't expect it here. There is no system as well! P@treon: https://www.patreon.com/Zerga3 Discord: https://discord.gg/djq6WyTrUW Note: Zeus reincarnates as a baby, so we are going to explore everything from that age.

Duel

The sensation of grass beneath Zeus's feet felt more descriptive than ever, as his heart beat rapidly, adrenaline rushing through his veins. After setting up the barrier with some help from Itachi, since Zeus wasn't that proficient in using them, they finally readied for the battle.

Itachi stood a few feet away from him, his shuriken already drawn, prepared to act at any moment. Zeus himself stood straight, slightly leaning forward, awaiting the beginning of the battle.

Fugaku, who was standing on a tree branch above them, raised his hand upwards, then dramatically forced it down. "Begin!"

Immediately, Itachi threw the shurikens toward Zeus, each of them aimed with incredible precision. Zeus decided to subside completely overpowering the enemy from the get-go, and did a few backflips, dodging all the weapons thrown at him. Surprisingly, every time he landed on the grass, a shuriken would already be thrown that way, as if Itachi was reading Zeus's movements with perfect precision.

Smirking, Zeus activated Overlock at 10%, rushing towards Itachi. However, Itachi had a sharingan for a reason and he managed to decipher Zeus's movements even then, dodging a punch from the left.

Not letting the enemy get another chance, Itachi created some distance from Zeus, whilst forming some hand seals. Putting his two fingers near his mouth, Itachi took a deep breath and puffed out an enormous cloud of fire. Zeus stared at the approaching blaze with a huge smile on his face, as it was his first time seeing such an intriguing jutsu.

Promptly, Zeus increased the percentage of Overlock, but instead of gathering this chakra inside of him, Zeus pushed it outside. Electricity coated his entire skin, yet Zeus didn't stop there, he pushed it further and further away, creating a barrier of electricity around him.

Of course, Zeus could have dodged, but perfecting new techniques was always better under stressful situations. The fire attacked him from all around, but it was easily repelled by his barrier, and soon only dust fire flakes remained, twisting in the air.

Glancing around, Zeus no longer saw Itachi anywhere, but it didn't take him long to understand that Itachi was coming from above. Looking up, he made eye contact with the red-eyed youngster and smiled. It was quite fun, but he no longer felt like playing.

"Overlock 20%," Zeus mumbled, vanishing from the spot and appearing in a little bush, just behind the real Itachi. The youngster was unable to even turn around, feeling the cold kunai pressed against his neck. "That was a good try. You are much better than even some old guys I have fought against."

Itachi sighed, turning around with a pitful smile. "I can't that as a compliment, considering that we are around the same age."

'You don't want to know to hold old I am.' Zeus thought, walking out of the bush and seeing the aftermath of their battle. There was quite a big cavity at the place where Zeus had conducted his new jutsu, while the grass had been burned down. In the middle of this chaos stood Fugaku, who was staring intently at the just-created hole in the ground.

'This jutsu was not something as simple as Itachi's fire. It required both meticulous control and an immense amount of chakra.' Fugaku thought, frowning as he stared at the approaching Zeus. He had never thought that he would see a kid more talented than Itachi, yet the evidence was before his eyes. Additionally, Zeus didn't even seem like he had used even a fraction of his power, making it even more unnatural.

"Well? Did I pass your little test? Can we fight now?" Zeus asked, his head turned a few degrees to the left. Fugaku made eye contact with Itachi, who deactivated his sharingan and shrugged, climbing up the tree. Initially, Fugaku thought that Itachi would put up a good fight and exhaust Zeus, but that was hardly the case, so there was no way to get out of this situation anymore.

"Alright, let's do it fast then." Fugaku sighed, taking a few steps to the right to stand directly in front of Zeus. However, Fugaku didn't even hear another word coming out of Zeus's mouth before the kid disappeared from the spot. Barely a second later, Fugaku felt danger approaching from below, as the ground underneath him broke, revealing Zeus with a kunai flying up.

Fugaku took one step back, kicking the kid in the stomach. However, at that moment, Zeus suddenly lost his shape, and only the violent electricity remained, meandering around Fugaku and momentarily hindering his movements. Then, three shurikens flew from the forest, their speed amplified by the electricity.

Fugaku glanced at the flying shurikens and smirked, puffing into smoke. Zeus, who had been hiding in a tree, suddenly felt a bad premonition. He glanced upwards, only to see Fugaku standing vertically on a branch, staring at him with killing intent. Zeus made eye contact with the man's bloody eyes.

"Why...does genjutsu not work on you?" Fungaku asked, his eyes bloodshot. For the first time since coming into this world, Zeus felt real danger. Even Kurama, the feared-tailed fox, didn't strike an impression like this bloody killer. However, the perilous sensation around Fugaku only earned him more respect from Zeus.

Zeus pointed towards his forehead, smirking. "From what I have gathered, Genjutsu techniques primarily confuse sensory information. Thus, I thought that if I constantly monitored the electrical activity within my brain and increased the provided voltage when a change takes place, then I would never be put under genjutsu ever again."

Fugaku stood in silence for a long time, staring at Zeus like he was some kind of a freak of nature. "So, you are saying that you have blocked my genjutsu by sending an electrical current toward your brain? Isn't that dangerous?"

"For most people... No, I guess, for everyone other than me that would be incomprehensible. It's simply impossible to achieve such good lighting control to make swift and precise alterations within the brain without accidentally killing yourself." Zeus stated, staring at the Fugaku from below. "Anyway, we are here to not trade the unnecessary information, but to fight."

With that, Zeus extended his right hand to the side, pushing a big portion of the chakra. Lightning gathered there, stretching out from his hand and forming a whip, which shook violently with power. "This is jutsu that has been inspired by one of the scariest women in existence, so I am glad that someone like you will be the first one to experience it."

With that, Zeus whipped it towards Fugaku, as it stretched even further, moving precisely towards his head. Fugaku dodged, promptly taking out a bunch of shurikens and throwing them toward Zeus. All of them suddenly multiplied, as an uncountable number of them bolted towards Zeus.

He smiled, whipping all of the ones which were about to him. They were repelled by concentrated electricity. Activating Overlock to his fullest capabilities, Zeus burned like a torch, rushing towards Fugaku and further engaging in their battle.

Despite his speed, Zeus was unable to land a scratch on Fugaku. Fugaku's three-tomoe sharingan enabled him to easily predict the movement of Zeus's electrical whip. Furthermore, Fugaku didn't even seem like he was using much of his power, as he only dodged and rarely counter-attacked. Frowning, Zeus realized that he was losing his chakra at a rapid pace, and his speed was dropping drastically.

As both of them appeared in the place where Zeus and Itachi had previously fought, Zeus whipped his weapon toward Fugaku once again. However, just when Fugaku dodged, the whip moved in a completely different direction, looping around the man's hand. He loured, feeling his skin burning up.

'This kid...he has led me to believe that his weapon moved just like a normal one would, yet that was not the case at all.' Fugaku thought. Judging from Zeus's grinning expression, that was indeed the case, and Fugaku had been deceived. This whip could move according to Zeus's will. In fact, he didn't even have to swing it at all.

Fugaku didn't even know whether to feel humiliated or impressed that he has been injured by a kid barely older than Itachi. However, Fugaku no longer wanted to prolong this battle. Grabbing the whip with his free hand, Fugaku ignored the pain and forced it out of Zeus's hand, causing him to stumble over from their difference in sheer strength.

The whip disintegrated into nothingness and Fugaku immediately acted, running towards the kid. They engaged in close combat, with Zeus managing to skillfully keep up, but Fugaku's superior strength and height just made it impossible for their battle to be fair.

Earning another punch in the face, Zeus took a few steps back, a scowl on his face. He was about to rush forward when the ground beneath him felt bizarre. Suddenly, he was plunged into the sky, and his vision turned 180 degrees.

Lifting his head, Zeus understood that he had stepped into a trap, and he put his head down, looking at Fugaku and Itachi who were standing a few feet away. Itachi had a little smile on his face as if he found the situation amusing.

"When did you set this up?" Zeus mumbled in defeat.

"When you were fighting with Itachi. Remember, checking your surroundings is the first thing that you should do before engaging in a battle." Fugaku explained, turning around. "Furthermore, I would suggest you don't rush things too much. You are too fast for your own good, and you can't react to your own movements properly. You are just seven, take things slower."

"I, of course, appreciate the guidance, but where the hell are you going?" Zeus said with a louder tone, seeing Fugaku and Itachi slowly walking away from him. "Aren't you going to let me go?"

In response, Fugaku only raised his hand and waved, leaving.

'Those fucking red-eyed bastards.'
