Chapter 21

Yuu could understand her logic however the problem with that theory was that even he didn't know what his power was. Was it a Kekei Genkai or a power that came with his soul when he transmigrated. If it was the former, he wasn't sure whether he should have children as he didn't want to pass his assimilation powers to others however if it was the later then it was fine as all he would be passing down would be the evolved genes brought by his own soul's ability making his children with Yakumo stronger but not passing on his main ability of assimilation.

Nevertheless, he had no other options than to agree as he wasn't sure how this dangerous girl in front of him would react if he said no so he simply nodded his head in agreement and asked what her second request was.

"The next request is a personal vendetta of mine that I am too weak to solve but I know you will soon be capable of easily solving in the near future given your unique technique's capabilities."

Yakumo looked straight at Yuu's face "I want you to kill Hiruzen Sarutobi"

"WHAT?!!" Yuu retrieved her hands from Yuu's and backed away once more while holding his head in disbelief wondering whether he had a problem with his eardrums given how many shocking things he was hearing today.

"You want me to kill who??"

"Hiruzen Sarutobi, the current Third Hokage" calmly answered back Yakumo Kurama.

"And not just him.."

"Oh! There are more??" interrupted Yuu sarcastically while looking at Yakumo in disbelief.

"Yes. There are a few people besides Sarutobi who I want you to eliminate. I have noted down their names which I will give to you later after which I will leave their method of disposal to you however it would be preferable if they die a painful death." Said Yakumo choosing to ignore Yuu's sarcastic tone and various expressions.

"And may I ask why?"

Yakumo for the first time adopted a sad expression on her pretty face "This is in relation to what happened four years ago when I was eight years old. I remember entering my family compound in the evening after playing with my friends only to suddenly black out later waking up being carried by one of my clansmen who brought me to my home which was burning in a blazing inferno.

The Hokage arrived soon after telling me that I had lost control of myself and set my home on fire killing my parents and a few of my fellow clansmen after which he showed me their charred bodies and due to the overwhelming evidence as well as my knowledge of my condition, which indeed I was being afflicted with at the time, for a while I believed him. However through events too long to discuss I managed to discover that I wasn't the one responsible for my parents deaths as I had initially been deceived into believing but rather it was all merely a ruse orchestrated by Hiruzen Sarutobi to eliminate my parents who were among the rare few members of my clan who had managed to overcome their affliction and hence were capable of controlling their incredible Genjutsu which Hiruzen feared greatly hence why he eliminated them.

My situation in some ways is similar to the Uchiha clan which were eliminated for the danger their Sharingans' capabilities possessed."

Yuu now understood why she desired her revenge against Hiruzen as her own parents and a few fellow clansmen had been killed by Hiruzen and his accomplices similar to how Sasuke wanted revenge against Itachi who had slaughtered his entire clan. The two individuals were quite similar, each eager for revenge and blessed with great talent except one was limited by their body and the other not which was where he came in.

"So do you agree to my two conditions hence forming what I believe will be a great co-operation going on ahead?" she asked stretching out her right hand. Yuu heaved a huge sigh and shook her right hand with his while saying "To our partnership". He then heard a breaking sound as suddenly he found himself lying on his bed with Yakumo seated next to him looking down on him. Yuu couldn't help but feel a shiver in his spine as a cold sweat of fear rolled down his forehead as he realized what had actually happened.

"When did you put me in a genjutsu?" he asked with a bit of fear and anxiety in his voice.

"When I first walked into the room." Said Yakumo with a sweet smile on her face which while in another time would have looked soothing and pleasing at the moment was actually downright terrifying. "I did it in order to ensure complete secrecy as we had our little conversation."

"And what would have happened had I refused to co-operate?" finally asked Yuu stating the question that had been on his mind since he found out that he was in a genjutsu.

Yakumo leaned in even closer to the anxious Yuu and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. She then leaned back, stroked his left cheek with her soft right hand and said softly filling Yuu with dread, "It's best not to think of such things"

Yuu could only freeze in fear and nod to which Yakumo smiled happily. They then spent the next hour planning their next moves after which with another soft kiss on his forehead, Yakumo left the room leaving Yuu alone in the infirmary. Yuu collapsed on his bed, his clothes already drenched in sweat from dread towards Yakumo Kurama. Yuu couldn't help but thank god for agreeing to her requests otherwise he wouldn't even know how he died. He had thought he was circulating lightning chakra to stimulate his body and fill him with pain enough to keep him awake from Yakumo's genjutsu but apparently even the pain had just been part of the illusion. Just the thought of it filled him with dread once more.

'What a terrifying girl' he thought as he fell asleep from mental exhaustion. Today had been quite hectic after all.

The next day a few people consisting of Jonin rank shinobi could be seen standing alongside each other in the Hokage's office. Hiruzen himself was seated in front of everyone and was gazing at Kakashi who had just arrived last and an unusual Jonin whom he never expected to see in here. After seeing that everyone had arrived, he began the meeting.

"Now that everyone is here. We can now begin today's objective. Choosing genin teams and their sensei." He said after which he beckoned all the jonin the room to advance forward towards his desk and pick a copy of his every student's character sheet.

"I have also included my recommendations as to which Genins should form a team however I want you all to go through the list and give me your own opinions first before finalizing the deal."

A few minutes passed in silence as all the jonin present went through each student sheet. Finally, they all put down their own student copies and focused on the Hokage.

"So, what are your thoughts?" asked Hiruzen.
