Meeting again

Astrid was sitting on the sofa with a satisfied smile, still in suit he wore at the event. His face filled with victory smile thinking about the best actor award he won. Emily ,his cousin and his friend Eshwar, CEO of "Delight" are in the same room.

"oh god its awesome ,we should celebrate" said Emily

"yup man ,lets gather at 'NightNest' "said Astrid

Eshwar, Still distracted that serene is with Jaideep finally found a way to meet her . "only we three?, Did u tell your sis about that?"

Emily smile turned ugly hearing this.

"oh yeah! I can get my sis away from him- now at least . she hasn't even called me to congratulate. May be she's busy planning a surprise for me. I should call her to join us."

Without delay Astrid called her.

(what's with the delay???)

"Hey bro what's up??"serene responded

(an odd silence) "…well,..um…"

"come on bro what's the matter?"

"do you have something to say?" replied Astrid in an aggrieved tone .

"say what?" asked the confused serene

"Didn't you know the news?" Astrid pouted

"something's up?. lemme check"

(he got the best actor award said Jai in the background).

She froze. She remembered how they celebrated at the bar in her previous life along with Esh and Emily. That's when she got to know about their close relation and the situation that the rumours might have some truth in it

As she came back to her senses she saw Astrid looked like he's about to cry.

Serene said with a guilty conscience "sorryyyyyy broooo .punishment is up-to youu"

"congrats let me get you a present at-least"

"hump ..no need. join us at nightnest "Astrid replied in a sulking voice.

"sure. Just half an hour ,we will be there." With that she hung up.

"hump.. I didn't even invite him..aahh let him be if she likes. At least he makes a good driver" Astrid turned to Esh looking distracted. Emily is slightly relieved seeing him not caring about serene.

Whereas Esh (ohhh god what should I do . its my first time going to a celebration party with her …um well even though not just the two of us ... what should I wear?

Cliff always call my style is too bad outside the office environment this is not even a formal event .I cant wear my usual attire .

After 25 mins ..

In the car, a certain CEO looking at the mirror again and again finally joined Astrid and Emily only to continue looking at the entrance regularly for every 20secs.

Emily, who noticed this offered a drink to distract him from thinking about serene.

The overly nervous CEO took the drink to calm himself down. (I should calm down . After a total week I can finally meet her again.)At the thought of seeing her again brought a smile to his usual cold face.

But the moment he turned towards the entrance again he froze .His eyes glaring at the holding hands of the incoming pair.
