At first, he have a second thought about his action but he shrug it off, what matter now is to save or it will lead to the death of his colleagues. Then he burst into action, with all the power his strength and speed can give him, everything seem to hang the moment he activate his super speed he run over to John then he collect his gun and then shoot at the paused zombies, he didn't stop there, he speed to Luke then he punch off the head of a zombie that his about to bite onto his neck then he rearranged the bullet that went off target at the head of the zombies, he had never think is powers are so useful until this day, with a flash he went over to another of his colleagues which he did not know is name and pull him out of the middle of the zombies clawing at him. He seem to be enjoying things until he was suddenly punched by a zombie that his body was strangely blue instead of green, he tumbled on the floor three times until he crashed on a fridge. It was as if he was hit by a moving train, he staggered as he struggled to stand up, his body shake due to the impact of the punch not only that he was afraid and surprised at the same time, fortunately his super speed save his friend as he saw the effect of it, is colleagues looking surprise by the change of event, they all thought they are going to die but– he was snap back to reality as he was picked up and tossed through the air and then hit the wall, the impact cause the wall to cracked. Arness cough out blood as his hand fumbled to find something to hold, "What are you?" he asked but he was replied with a punch at the face, he didn't expect to get a reply anyway it will be strange to witness a talking zombie. "Help!" he called out, knowing that soon he will soon be dead; the zombie did well in choosing this moment to attack him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw an iron rod not far away from where he was, looking at the rod will give you the feeling that it can break a normal human skull but his that enough to break this creature skull, there is one way to find out, with all the power his super speed can give, he leapt forward to pick up the iron rod, his hand almost grab the rod when the zombie caught his leg midair, he looked at the zombie snarling at him with blood dripping from his mouth, that was the most ugly face he had ever seen, even the thought of the zombie seeing him as a food is terrible. Then with force he kicked off the zombie with his second leg at first it only make him staggered a little then he kick him again which make it to forcefully threw him away, Arness crawl quickly to pick up the rod before the angry zombie attack him again, the moment he pick up the rod, the zombie rush at him angrily throwing him a punch which he lucking dodge out of instinct then he swing the rod with force which connected successfully to the skull, the zombie cried out in both pain and rage before he could attack, Arness was already in the midair coming down with full force making another successful attack as the rod connected to the jaw then it snapped into two, Arness throw it away, it now useless! Then he clench his fists as he walk towards the weaken zombie which never cease to keep snarling, then he pounced on him punching the head until he could hear it snarling no more but something caught his attention, "what's this?" he said as he looked at the transparent blue thing that is coming out of the dead zombie at first he thought it was a smoke or something similar, strangely he begin to inhale the smoke of a thing, at first he didn't notice that until he traced the direction it flowed to. He was scared! He don't know if it a poison or what, he squeeze his nose together trying to block it from the smoke but weirdly it changed direction to his mouth which open wide due to the strange things he have been seeing so far, in a second the smoke was absorb so fast that it begin to affect him in a way that he begin to lose conscious, then he heard a voice sound in his head which almost jerk back, "You have successful gain the System"

My eyelid seem somehow heavy as i wake up, everything was blurry, i blinked more than fifteen times before my eyes shifted to the new scene before me. I sit up looking around, I was in the vehicle probably carried by the others I guess, "You are awake" a voice said, he looked and see Andy sitting beside him smiling, "Thanks for helping us" he added, "Help?" Arness said confuse then everything rushed back to him, his secret has been discovered, "You saw me?" he asked,

"Yes, don't worry your secret his safe with me" he replied smiling, giving Arness a reassuring look, " Thanks so much" Arness said, " Don't you see me as a kind of freak?" he asked,

"What do you by that? Your powers are cool dude" he said put a hand on his shoulder, "super-speed, super strength, common on, even if the others called you that I can't" he added,

Arness finally relaxed, "I have never had a friend before" he said, and then he offered Andy a handshake, "Once again, I'm Arness" Andy didn't hesitate to take his hand shake, "Andy Oliver" he smiled once again, "can I know more about you?" Arness asked, "Of course!" he said, "I was born in a family of four, I was the–" Arness was paying attention to what he was saying until a voice sound in his head. < The system has detected that the host his awake>. He looked around wondering where the voice came from until it sound again but this time he was seeing it in front of his face. < Welcome to the Zombie Tech System>

"Andy" he called out,

"Yes" he answered looking confused,

"Do you see this" he said pointing at the blue screen in front of him,

"What are you talking about" he asked more confused,

"Don't you see that" he asked again now looking confused,

"Are you hallucinating because am seeing nothing" he said, Then Arness realized that he was the only one seeing the screen then he dismissed the issue, "Don't worry, I've got a really bad headache" he said as he put a hand at his forehead,

"Oh I see" Andy said,

"Am going to the roof" Arness said as he stood up,

"Is that not dangerous?" Andy asked,

"Not for me, beside I enough stamina" Arness replied,

"Just be careful" Andy said as he watch Arness climb towards the roof, " Are people with superpowers always weird like this" he thought as he lay down to sleep quietly not risking to disturb the others, fortunately the vehicle can auto drive.

Despite the cold night, Arness lay down on the roof of the vehicle staring at the blue screen in front of him, reading his details at first it feels strange but it was soon replaced by curiosity, it was like the games people played, before the deadly virus take over. But what baffled he most was how the so called system was able to display his details and his race, he was something called Halfling Mutant Zombie, he was a zombie but a different one perhaps he have been bitten by a zombie than he mutate, he was very lucking! He noticed that on the blue screen there was more tab placed on the left side downwards, which he didn't need to touch before it open, all he have to do is give the command in his head and it will open, the screen switched to a tab named <Skill>.

He was quite surprise when the system replied and it helped him to know the use of energy point; before he closed the screen he opened the <Shop> tab.

Arness was breathing heavily by the time he was done with the exercise, and it seems the system really give him the energy point.

"Incoming zombies! Everybody gets ready" a voice called out from the vehicle,

"Whoa! It time to earn some energy points" as he jump into the vehicle startling everyone,

"What are you doing up there?" John asked,

"Taking in fresh air" Arness replied him,

"Ah!" Stephen laughed, "This kid got some gut huh"

"Everybody focus! No more food for our running mouth again" John said, "We are heading towards a town called Aston" he paused, "We aren't there to play as you can see an army of zombies are waiting to block our road to survival so we have to fight through!"

"Load your gun, guys" Luke said, "We have a war to fight" he added.
