First fight

The war has been going on for 20 years now. Earth was now out of danger from the attacks of the vicious dalki. The wars were taking place around the nearby planets and on the planet accessed through the portal. Planets that were captured and fully explored by humans and proven safe, a settlement was built and some humans started to move there. To help travelers know which portal was safe, they were classified into different colors.

Green meant safe. There was a settlement and the whole planet has been investigated.

Orange meant relatively safe. There was a settlement but some area was not explored.

Finally red portal was for the dangerous one. Either dalki was present or the beast on the planet was very powerful.

On one hand, the war had propelled humanity to new grounds and major advancement, those unfortunate without ability or credit were suffering greatly.

The Big Four, who were now controlling the world, were not able to focus both on the war and the poverty at the same time.

Abraham was visiting such a district right now. It was named "lesser" by the people there. Destroy houses were everywhere still as a reminder of the dalki's attack on earth. No one had the ability or credit points to repair them. On the street, humans were sleeping on the ground. Stands were seen selling foods and goods everywhere. Children wearing torn clothes were running everywhere. No laws applied here while different gangs were controlling certain sections.

Every now and then a fight would start. Right now two adults were wrestling against one another. It looked like they were invisible as everyone was continuing with their activities without even giving a glance. At one point, one of the men took a knife from his pocket and started stabbing the other. The injured one was left dying there alone, helpless with anyone to even give a little help. Everyone was to themselves.

That was the cruel part of the war. Abraham was reminded of his past life when seeing such a scene. He wanted to change the world, and remove the violence, injustice, and discrimination from it. He knew such a thing was near impossible. His fight against corruption in his past life was a great example for him.

Abraham was aware that only with power and authority could he change everything. That is why he had only one mission. Being one above all.

Abraham spent two days inside the district, familiarising himself with the surroundings and people of power around. During the two days, Abraham had completed both his daily quests bringing his exp to 40/100.

Like the past two days, Abraham was moving along the street scanning everyone until he found his target. A skinny man with a bear tattoo on his arm. He belonged to a gang. Some of the gang members of low-level ability users and some had damaged beast weapons. This particular guy was having fun using the earth's ability to make people fall.

Abraham carefully walked toward the bear tattoo man and collided with him. Without looking back or excusing himself, Abraham continued to walk and took a left turn to a silent alley.

The man angered started cursing and running in the direction that Abraham went. In the alley, the gang member found the child and without even feeling a bit of remorse he activated his earth manipulation on the ground around Abraham's feet.

Inside Abraham's body, his Qi was activated and as soon as he heard the system message, he guided the Qi to his feet in the blink of an eye and jump backward toward his opponent. The man didn't have time to react when a punch came hitting his face. The gang member got smashed against the wall nearby and he was immediately out. Abraham had to control his Qi to control the damage output so as not to kill his opponent. He didn't was the gang to be alerted of a member's death.

Abraham looked at the man against the wall. His face was swollen and covered with blood. Abraham was indifferent to such a scene as he had done much worse in his previous life. While thinking of the skill "Inspect", a screen pop in front of Abraham's eyes.

Right after inspecting the gang member, Abraham received another notification.

Here it was, a quest that Abraham was sure he was going to take advantage of to the maximum. Abraham was right to do so as the reward was great. He approached the lying man and took his pocket knife to pierce a hole in the man's arm. Blood started to flow thus Abraham brought collected it in a small glass tube until the man's health point became one. He then took out a lighter and burn the injury, stopping the blood flow and preventing the gang member from dying.

Abraham tightly corked the tube containing the blood and took his way home after spending his last two days completely on the street. He wanted to take a shower before proceeding with the next step.
