48. The secret is out

1 year and 2 months since Abraham's evolution began.

Deep underground, in a secret facility, a group of people was all discussing around a large table. The room was made from Gallitium the strongest metal and was considered one of the safest rooms on earth. There were strange circles drawn on the four sides of the floor. The circles had strange symbols all around them.

If Abraham was present, he would have recognized it as magic circles.

"Thanks, you sir, we will do the needful."

As the man preceding the meeting finished his discussion with them, all the rest of the people have a bow voluntarily as he was leaving. They were considered the best scientists in the whole world, yet in front of that man, they showed utmost respect.

After all, he is considered the savior of humanity, the messiah, and the man of technology Richard Eno. He was the one on the human side behind the discovery of portals and converting beast crystals into armour and weapons.

"It has been more than two years since my grandson activated the system. It is now time that I pay him a visit. Hehe, I'm eager to see Albus's reaction." Richard could not help but smile to see his grand.. grandson progress.

Richard walked to another room. Once inside, he lifted his right hand like he was holding something. But the sight was bizarre as his hand was empty. But a few seconds later, an object was seen materialize on his hands. It was a strange squared container. Richard continued to hold it and it looked like he was tweaking the squared box. He then placed the object on the floor and mechanical sounds were heard and two arms were flung open from the side of the machine. Seconds later, a portal opened displaying a green-like colour.

This particular device was a portable teleporter that Richard didn't introduce to humanity. There was a portable teleporter that humans had, be it was very limited. It was a one-time use and compare to the one Richard was holding, the teleporter on the human side was very big and very heavy.

After he walked through, the green portal disappeared and the device evaporated into nothing.

On a green-grade planet known as Tellus, a man appeared on the portal platform. Like every other green-grade planet, the portal was placed at the center of the settlement. The planet was fully converted from orange to green grade four years when the planet was fully explored. Most of the beast on the planet was either basic or intermediate so there were a lot of humans that immigrated on the planet. Due to such situations, there was construction all over the settlement to increase its maximum capacity.

Richard walked towards the residential area and after entering the "B" section, he got inside the building and went to the second floor. Richard was taking the time to reach his destination as he was admiring the children playing around.

Finally when he reached a door with the label "B76", he gave a knock. He heard a woman's voice from inside shouting "coming". Then the door opened, and a young female adult was seen at the door.

"Hello, you must be Ginny right, Albus's wife. Is he home?"

Ginny was confused at first, it seems that the man knew them but she had no idea who the man was. Yet when looking at him, she was feeling relaxed like he was no stranger and she could trust him.

"He went to get some snacks. He should be coming soon. Why don't you come inside and wait for him? Would you like to drink or eat anything Mr ?" Ginny at the end stopped talking as she forget to ask the man his name.

"Richard".

As he walked inside he found on a sofa a small child playing with a toy. The boy had broke his car toy and was trying to fix it. Richard immediately recognized him and approached him. The boy had curly black hair and wore a huge pair of glasses.

"Hello, Quinn, I can fix your car through magic. Would you like to see it?"

The boy Quinn raised his head and focus on the man. He looked back at his toy and gave another try to fix the toy. After another unsuccessful attempt, Quinn gave the man the car.

Richard just took the toy while keeping it in Quinn's view. Slowly, the toy started to self-assemble, and just like that the toy was fixed. Quinn's continued to fix the car as the whole thing look really like magic. Just then the sound of a door opening was heard and Richard looked at the man.

But instead of showing a smile, there was multiple emotion going through Richard. He was confused, unable to understand the current situation. By the door, it was really Albus that was standing but that was not the cause for the confusion. It was the smell coming from him. The smell of a human.

On top of that, Richard could not feel the connection to the system. Richard was the one behind the creation of the vampire system that Abraham had inside him. Richard had made it in such a way that if the system was near, he was able to sense it and even influence the system as the creator.

All type of scenario and logic was running inside his head, and yet Richard could not comprehend how Albus was still a human. The system which was in the form of a book was supposed to be open only to the Talen family member and the remaining one was just Albus and Quinn. Richard knew when the system was first used and at that time Quinn was still five years old. So the logical explanation was that Albus was the one who got the system.

It was such a long time since something like that happened to Richard and he had no clue what was happening. To find the truth there was only one way to find out.

As Albus opened the door to his home, he found an unknown man inside the room just in front of Quinn. For a second Albus hoped was risen to the sky as he thought that Abraham was finally home but the man was a total stranger. He found the man staring at him yet the latter didn't say anything. Just as Albus was about to ask the man a question, he found the man standing just in front of him and Richard's eyes was glowing red.

"What is your real name?" Richard asked Albus after he put him in a hypnosis state.

"Albus Talen."

Richard first thought that the man was an imposter but it turned out to be his real grandson. He went directly to the subject.

"Where is the family book that the Talen keep safeguarding generation after generation?"

He saw Albus struggling like he was trying to fight against whatever was compelling him to answer. At that time, the promise that Albus made with his father Dracul to hide Abraham's identity was overpowering the ability being used on him. Just then Ginny came and saw the whole situation. But against someone like Richard, she was too slow to react as Richard looked at her with his glowing eyes and ordered her to take Quinn inside the next room and stay there.

After taking care of the small incident, Richard's attention was fully on Albus. Instead of directly asking him the question again, a basic crystal appeared on his left hand. Now while holding the crystal, he touched Albus's head using his right hand and asked the question again.

During the process, all the energy inside the crystal could be seen being used. Albus was no more struggling and gave the answer.

"The book is with Abraham. He is the one keeping it safe."
