The men groaned in pain, but none of them dared to speak. They exchanged nervous glances, knowing that revealing their employer's identity could mean even more trouble for them.
Sophia's smile widened as she observed their discomfort. She leaned in closer, her voice dripping with ice. "I'll ask again," she said, her tone firm. "Who sent you?"
One of the men, clutching his injured arm, finally spoke up. "We don't know," he admitted, his voice trembling with fear. "We were just hired to... to take you out."
