John tightened his grip on Gianna's arm as he led her through the corridors of the Sterling cruise ship, his mind racing with frustration and concern. The moment they reached her room, he pushed the door open and practically shoved her inside. Without a second's hesitation, he followed her in and locked the door behind him with a sharp click.
The room was soundproof, designed to offer its occupants complete privacy, which only added to the sense of isolation and intensity that now hung between them. The tension in the air was palpable as John turned to face his sister, his eyes blazing with barely controlled anger.
