The morning sun filtered through the curtains as Cindy woke up, feeling a pleasant sense of contentment from the previous night's adventure. She stretched and turned over to find Alexander already up. She could hear the faint sounds of him moving around in the kitchen.
With a smile, Cindy got up and joined him. Alexander was at the stove, expertly flipping pancakes. The smell of fresh coffee and breakfast filled the air.
"Good morning," Cindy said, wrapping her arms around him from behind.
Alexander turned his head and smiled. "Good morning, my love. I thought I'd make us breakfast to make up for keeping you up late last night."
Cindy laughed softly, leaning in to kiss his cheek. "It was worth it. Thank you for everything."
