Ray's POV:
It has been a day since the Nexus girl arrived, she hadn't woken up yet–but with Ophelia slow on the recovery, I couldn't be bothered to care about her. Laying in bed beside my beloved, my heart squeezed on itself as I watched her heaving deep breaths in sleep. Her condition has gotten better, but it is not as good as it used to be.
'We need more soul fragments for her.' That thought haunted me every moment, however, as her eyes fluttered open, a moment of comfort washed over me.
"What?" She mumbled, noticing a smile cross my lips.
Placing my hand over her head, I pulled her closer. Planting a brief kiss on her forehead, my hands caressed her hair before I responded to her question.
"Nothing," with a playful chuckle, I kept smiling.
