An investigation***

I sat in a dark room with a single light. This was definitely an interrogation room. I took a sip of the soda they gave me. I was like 60% sure they were watching me from somewhere.

As an officer walked in with a folder I relaxed a little. It was tense sitting alone in a room like this. The officer placed the folder on the table and held out his hand. "Hello, my name is Tamaka. I know you came in here for a statement. However as we were investigating we found some interesting information."

I raised an eyebrow, "So am I not giving a statement?"

He shook his head, "Oh no, let's handle that first. How did you enter your friend's home?"

I gave a nod, "She showed me where her spare key was. She takes a lot of notes and when she got sick she told me about the key. It was mostly to allow me to give her notes from missed classes. However I now think that when she was sick, well… She had me leave my notes in her kitchen."

The officer nodded, "You believe she was recovering from abuse at that time?"

I shrugged, "Maybe, Jess is really kind. So at the time I thought she just didn't want me to get sick."

The Officer nodded and pulled out a picture of me in the past. "This was you 2 years ago right? You look very different now."

I nodded, "My quirk seemed to change after my incident recently."

The officer probed, "You meant he attacked?"

I rolled my eyes, "I'd prefer 'incident' since I lost my parents at that time. Unless you really are that unprofessional, I believe you will accommodate that request?"

The officer seemed to frown, I did just insult him after all. However I felt it was obvious about my wording. "I suppose I can… How long have you been friends with Miss Jessabelle Hatara?"

Using her full name really? I had to wonder where this was going. "8 years, and yes I never noticed anything in all that time. Likely because I was more ignorant of how evil people can be."

The officer shuffled the folders slightly, "You were never bullied for your weight?"

I raised an eyebrow, Seriously where was this going? No comment on my extra answer. "I'm the same weight as before, my quirk changed that's all. Never was bullied for the extra fat as it was a part of my quirk. Besides, it wasn't really all fat."

The officer nodded, and pulled out pictures. These were of the bastards I beat up. Gatsumi's gang, it was interesting. I spoke before being questioned, "I remember this stuff, these guys really got what they deserved."

He raised his own eyebrows, "And why do you say that?"

I laughed, "They are accomplices in my parents murder. A person who denies they'd feel the same isn't human."

The officer spoke, "I suppose that's fair. However…" He pulled out another picture of Jess's Mom. "You know who this is. I'll spare you the messy details, but she was recently attacked much like the boys who helped in your attack."

I narrowed my eyes, "I guess you are unprofessional." I turned to the wall which I assumed I was being watched from. "Can I get a more professional officer to interrogate me? This one doesn't seem to want to get the job done."

Officer Tamaka frowned, "You won-"

I interrupted, "I'm sorry, but why are you still here? You agreed to spare my feelings and then turned around and pissed on them. You could've easily been accommodating."

He clenched his fist, "I'd appreciate if yo-"

I laughed hysterically and in the most exaggerated manner I could. "Appreciate? What did I just say? I'll be cooperative with the new officer when they come in. However, I won't talk to you any longer."

Anger shook the officer's face. However he grabbed everything he came in with and left. Not without a stupid comment, "You will regret not cooperating."

I rolled my eyes, and took another sip of my soda. From the way he was acting I think they were trying to connect me to either the attacks on Gatsumi's gang or the attack on Jess's mother. Since I was related to both events. However, without a lie detector or really good cameras they wouldn't connect me to the stuff with Gatsumi's gang. Jess's mom though, that was interesting.

I would laugh if it turned out she fell down the stairs and the officer was trying to pull a fast one. I didn't know if they were allowed to do that, but not like it mattered to me. I closed my eyes and relaxed.

---------

A woman with platinum hair smiled, "Thank you detectives, I no longer suspect him. Thank you for using my lie detector. I wanted to see if he really cared about my sister or not."

The woman narrowed her eyes. Her thoughts were indecipherable. The detectives only agreed to help her since if the lie detector worked well it would be an amazing help in future investigation.

Her phone rang and she smiled, "Oh, that's my father."

She took the phone call as she walked away from the officers. "Of course, the device worked wonders. I told you I could figure it out. In the future more can be made."

As she walked Tota caught a glimpse of her in the small window of the integration room. The window was small and was blocked with metal wire and a black tinting. However with his senses, he could tell her hair was platinum and her features were familiar.

With that, 2 classmates are spared, 11 of them are arrested, 4 imprisoned, and 1 out of country.
