Alyx Leonidus Rising! (Part Two of Three)

"So, if I were a big bad villain, where would I be?" Sheyenne pondered.

"Good point, I'm sure he'd be well hidden, not to mention the fact that this city is pretty large. He could be anywhere." Mikey replied.

"He's probably down in the sewer where garbage pieces of shit like him belong." Karson suggested.

Joshua pointed over in the distance, "What about that rather inconspicuous, looming tower in the Mojave over there?"

They all looked over to where he was pointing, a giant, menacing tower stood tall in the far horizon.

"Has... Has that always been there?" Alyx questioned.

"Yeah, that's been there since we were little! You've never noticed it?" Joshua nodded.

Sheyenne, Karson, and Alyx all groaned and vented their frustrations, "Oh my God..."

"You fucking idiota!" Sheyenne fumed.

"What? What the fuck are you guys complaining about?" Joshua puzzled.

"Joshua, w-why didn't you say anything?" Alyx questioned.

"Because I didn't think about it at the time! I thought you guys already knew about it." He argued.

Alyx sighed and looked down, "For fuck's sake... I guess that's fair. How are you guys feeling though? I know we've been in the Seventh Plane quite a bit this week, we've gotten a good one and a half years worth of Quirk Training in! I'm all good, I'm pretty sure I'm at my current limit."

"Heh, look at that, are you saying that you can't get stronger?" Mikey smirked.

"Maybe? But the point is, it's no good for me to keep going, it'll just hurt me instead of benefit me. You guys are more than welcome to do a bit more training with your Quirks if you'd like, you all might need it." Leonidus replied.

"Eh, I'm fine." Karson answered.

"Wait, you aren't trying to say that I'm weaker than you, right? I don't exactly like that suggestion, Leonidus." Mikey slightly scowled.

Alyx looked over at Mikey, "I wasn't suggesting, Mikey."

"What... Did you just say?" He replied.

"Uh oh..." Joshua mumbled.

"Listen up, just because you may have gotten stronger, that doesn't mean you're top dog. I suggest you watch your mouth, Leonidus. I won't hesitate to deal with you then go after Black-Heart myself. This alliance is only because of him, don't get it twisted." Mikey retorted.

Alyx stepped forward, "Trust me, I'm not acting like I'm some sort of top dog or whatever. Don't get me wrong, Mikey, I won't have a problem humbling you once we've defeated Black-Heart."

Sheyenne stepped in front of the two of them with her arms crossed.

"Could you both just knock it the fuck off? We can worry about this another time, we've got a lot of ground to cover." Sheyenne sighed.

Mikey crossed his arms and looked to the side as the group moved forward. As they walked, Alyx didn't take his eyes off the massive tower in the distance.

"So, what exactly do you think we'll expect, Alyx? Do you think he'll have backup?" Karson wondered.

"No, he only works by himself. Black-Heart would kill his 'partners' in a heartbeat if they even thought about him funny." He replied.

"Geez... I guess that means we should take him seriously then." Joshua commented.

"No kidding. I've only seen things on the news about him, even Ms. America had a tough time taking him on! Let's just hope we can end things quickly before our parents find out about this." Karson nodded.

The group of heroes walked through the Mojave Desert with feelings of nervousness, determination, and hope. After two hours of travelling, they made it to Black-Heart's presumed location. They peeked over a dune to observe their surroundings. Dozens upon dozens of people were hauling crates of heavy equipment and more.

"Those people they're... T-They're slaves! Black-Heart is-" Sheyenne noted.

"It's not him." Alyx interrupted.

"Huh?" They all uttered.

"Black-Heart doesn't care about things like this, he's only out for blood and destruction. We've just stumbled upon something else entirely." Alyx explained.

Mikey walked past him, "Then I guess we'll have to introduce ourselves then."

"H-Hey, Mikey, wait!" Leonidus shouted.

Mikey jumped down from the sand dune towards the gathering of slaves and the guards that whipped them periodically. Once he landed, the guards looked in his direction and stumbled back a bit.

"So, what's going on here? I demand an answer, don't try and bullshit me, I'll send you all to hell without even the slightest ounce of remorse." Mikey threatened.

"W-Who... W-W-Who are you? How did you find this place?" A Guard stuttered.

A ball of golden light appeared in Mikey's hand and he shot it towards the guard. It carried him off into the air and exploded! The other guards watched on in horror as their comrade died right in front of their eyes.

"Anyone of you want to answer a question with a question, feel free, there's plenty more left for the rest of you." Mikey deviously smiled.

The guards trembled with fear before making a run up the sand dune. Mikey stood there and watched the cowardly abusers run as fast as they could. Alyx and the others came down the sand dune that they stood on as well, Mikey couldn't help but laugh as he watched the guards trip over themselves.

"Ha ha! Look at those fucking pathetic wastes of life! I bet you they would've shit themselves if I chased after 'em!" He cackled.

"Mikey, you gotta be careful! They could've easily alerted whoever runs this joint!" Alyx told him.

"Hmph... Do you really think I'm scared of whatever dumbass that lives in this tower?" Mikey responded.

As they freed the slaves, Sheyenne attempted to get answers out of them, but it was almost as if they were in some sort of a drugged state.

"Well, I guess we'll have to figure things out on our own. None of them seem to be able to communicate. Something doesn't feel right about this..." Sheyenne spoke up.

The ground beneath the group began to shake as they were suddenly sucked under by a mysterious force! Soon after, Joshua found himself alone in a large room, or so he thought. The chair in the middle of the room spun around revealing a woman.

"𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵! 𝘚𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘦!" Joshua thought to himself.

"Why, hello there. We heard there was a bit of a disturbance outside, I guess you're one of the people responsible for it, yes?" She wondered.

"Aaaand who's asking?" Joshua answered.

The woman stood up, "Second in Command and Head Supervisor, Red Amethyst. Now, answer me."

"You'd be right, we put a stop to this little slave operation you've got going on. I have to admit, you've got a pretty decent place, I kind of like the vibe. Hey... You wouldn't happen to be single, would you?" Joshua winked.

He narrowly dodged a red crystal shard as it flew past his face. Blood trickled down his cheek as he quickly activated his Quirk. A huge, flaming scythe appeared in his right hand as he hopped backwards.

"Okay, bitch! We can play that game too!" He shouted.

Red Amethyst's hand turned into a crystallized crimson blade to match Joshua's Hell Scythe Quirk. The two quickly charged towards one another, clashing their weapons, light from the clash lit up the entire room! Joshua propelled himself off of Red's blade, he spun around with his scythe and sent down a barrage of flames. The flames landed on Red's crystal blade, Joshua smirked at her as he stayed in the air.

He quickly slashed his blade downwards, "Crossfire Judgement!"

The fire on Red Amethyst exploded, sending her bouncing off the floor and crashing into a nearby wall! Joshua landed on the ground as the smoke cleared but found that Red Amethyst had disappeared!

"Huh? What the...?" He muttered.

"Do you really think that you have the advantage here? This is MY domain!" Amethyst's voice echoed.

She crystallized behind him whacking him in the face with a crimson red fist. His Hell Scythe dissipated as he hit the ground hard. Red Amethyst created her crystal blade once more and walked towards Joshua as he laid unconscious on the ground.

"My, my... What a pity. I guess it was a bit too bold to assume that you were even remotely a challenge." She smirked.

Before she could strike, her legs were suddenly swept under, sending her face first into the ground.

"Oh no you don't, perra tonta!" Sheyenne yelled.

Sheyenne had lassoed Amethyst's legs to prevent her from getting near Joshua! She then crystallized once more, disappearing once again. Amethyst reappeared behind Sheyenne, but was quickly knocked away by Karson's immense strength! His paw slapped Red Amethyst across the now crimson crystal room. Her head impacted against a crystal shard, rendering her unconscious as the impact shook the room. Sheyenne quickly made her way over to Joshua and sat him up.

"Hey, you good, Josh?" She asked.

"Hoo wee... She's was hot..." Joshua groggily simpered.

Sheyenne slapped the sense back into him, "H-Hey! What was that- Wait, when did you guys get here?"

"Just a minute ago, we're lucky to have even found this room, the structure of this place is super weird. We need to find Alyx and Mikey, wherever the hell they might be at." She responded.

Sheyenne helped Joshua up to his feet, the trio quickly left the room before Red Amethyst could regain consciousness. Meanwhile, in a room that seemed like an entirely different world, Leonidus began to wake up, he sat up on the cold purple grass and looked around.

"Huh...? What the hell? We must've gotten sucked in by a trap. I don't feel Sheyenne or anyone else's Heat Energy, something's not right here." Alyx noted.

"Hey! Let's play, let's play!" Someone called out.

Alyx looked towards his right and noticed another person was standing next to him.

"Oh, excuse me, I didn't see you there. Do you know where I am? Also, have you seen anyone else around here? One of them looks like a Grizzly Bear." Leonidus asked.

"Play with me and I tell you! I am Quartz! Quartz, Quartz, Quartz!" He smiled.

Alyx started walking away, "I'm sorry, but I don't have time to play. I really need to get out of-"

Quartz launched his hand right towards Leonidus, without even looking, Alyx caught his fist. Alyx looked behind him with an eyebrow raised.

"I told you that we were gonna play. That means we're gonna play! Play!" Quartz pouted.

"Alright then, fine, if this is the game you wanna play then I'll play!" Alyx grinned.

Alyx threw a punch of his own that was caught by Quartz. Quartz's right arm elongated and grabbed Leonidus by the throat. He carried him up into the air, a ball of Overdrive appeared in Alyx's hand and he slammed it down on Quartz's arm. The ball of Overdrive exploded and severed his arm, it turned to ash right in front of Leonidus, but Quartz quickly regenerated it! Quartz lightly giggled as he grinned at Alyx. Alyx let off a smile of his own as he looked down at Quartz.

"Heh, looks like this'll be interesting. Give me everything you've got, Quartz!" Alyx beamed.

Quartz clapped and cheered with excitement as Alyx shifted gears into Gear One. His Violet Blue aura surrounded him as he charged down towards Quartz. He slammed his fist right into Quartz's face, Quartz responded with a hard left punch to Alyx's stomach. Quartz grabbed the back of Alyx's head with his elongated arm and chucked him into the wall in front of him. He burst out of the wall as he entered Gear Two, he zoomed towards Quartz, he drove his foot right into Quartz's stomach. Quartz winced with pain as Alyx unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks on him. He kicked upward, Quartz reeled his head back as he went flying into the air. Leonidus chased after him and flew past him, he threw a Flash Cannon right into Quartz face which sent him crashing back down into the ground. The explosion rattled the field and shook the trees around them.

Quartz looked up and saw that Alyx was charging up a huge attack right above him! The bright blue light grew larger and larger in Alyx's hand.

"HRAAAAAH!" Leonidus shouted.

He fired down a huge attack that decimated the area as soon as it hit Quartz! He landed down on the ground a few feet away from the impact crater.

"Sheesh, that guy was a bit weird. I guess I can go- Uh?!" Leonidus mumbled.

Leonidus watched as Quartz was somehow transforming! His body turned inside out, altering himself into a whole different being! He slowly formed while standing up, revealing his true form. Alyx stood at the ready as he stared down the newly transformed creature in front of him.

"That feeling... It's nothing but pure evil!" Alyx remarked.

Quartz smiled devilishly at Leonidus as he raised his hand up into the sky and then back down towards the ground. Alyx looked up and saw massive crystal shards coming straight down towards him! He quickly dodged the shards as they crashed into the ground. Leonidus chucked another ball of Overdrive right towards Quartz, but he crystallized and disappeared before it could reach him. Alyx looked around to see where Quartz would turn up next. He phased into the room right behind Leonidus, Alyx quickly turned around and punched him right in the face. Quartz's head barely moved as he swept Alyx's legs out from underneath him. Alyx landed on his hand, twisted himself to face Quartz, then delivered a hard kick to Quartz's sternum.

Alyx backflipped to create distance between him and Quartz before firing off a barrage of Stardust Shoot at him. Quartz ran towards him, dodging and weaving through the various beams that were shot towards him. As he ran, his right arm became a clear white crystallized blade. Quartz held his blade up high as he jumped into the air, Leonidus moved to the side as Quartz slashed downward, his blade released a slash of energy that cut through the ground with ease! Meanwhile, Sheyenne, Joshua and Karson were walking through the twisting, winding hallways of the tower. Doors were placed all over the walls on every angle possible!

"Where in the hell would he be at?" Sheyenne wondered.

"Beats me, there's so many doors here, it's hard telling where either of them are at!" Joshua responded.

"Yeah... Let's just hope we can find them soon! Who knows what either of them are dealing with right now." Karson agreed.

The trio continued their search through the tower to find Leonidus and Mikey. They passed by what felt like hundreds of doors before stopping in front of one.

Leonidus swiped his hand to the side, "Counter Burst!"

The shards of crystal that flew towards Alyx reflected back towards Quartz. Without hesitation, Quartz ran forward and let the crystals hit him, they then absorbed into his now ghost white skin! This caused Alyx to look a bit alarmed as he dodged a swipe from Quartz's blade. A bit of energy from Quartz's blade strike cut Leonidus' left arm, opening up a medium sized cut. Leonidus had disappeared then reappeared in the air right behind Quartz. He kicked the base of Quartz's neck before kicking off of it once again to fly back away from him.

"𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘪𝘵... 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨! 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮!" Alyx thought.

As Quartz was stunned, Leonidus hid behind one of the giant crystal shards, he held his left arm as blood continued to drop down it. Quartz turned around and smiled as he held his hand out towards the cluster of giant shards. He closed his fist and the shards started to enclose and combine, trapping Leonidus inside of them, he was swallowed by the crystals! He luckily held his breath as his Overdrive quickly deactivated. Quartz cackled as he flew into the air, he aimed his sword into the middle of the large crystal shard, he quickly slashed downward and split the crystal in half. He scowled as he saw that he missed Alyx. He roared with anger and slashed rapidly, sending slashes of energy towards the crystal until there was only a small piece left. Leonidus' head emerged from the piece as he gasped for air.

"Kee Hee Hee! Die! Die!" Quartz grinned.

Right before Quartz could land the killing blow, a ball of light darted into his stomach, triggering a massive explosion that sent Quartz crashing down into the ground! The crystal encasing around Leonidus shattered and he collapsed to the ground. Mikey flew down next to him and stood in front of him.

"What in the hell are you doing, Leonidus? I thought you would've had something like this under control." Mikey questioned.

"Y-Yeah... I-I didn't think... He'd be this tough... I... I've never seen anything... L-Like him." Alyx panted.

Quartz began to stand up, he cracked his neck as he stared Mikey down. Alyx stumbled up to his feet and stood next to Mikey, Mikey held his arm out to stop him.

"Don't be an idiot, there's a reason why I'm better than you, I know when to rest. Sit back and watch, clown. I'll finish this fight for you." Mikey told him.

Mikey took off towards Quartz with a smirk on his face.

"W-Wait! Be careful, Mikey!" Alyx shouted.

Mikey reeled his fist back as he charged towards Quartz, he threw a punch at him but Quartz dodged it. Mikey quickly flipped over him and pressed a ball of light into his face. He slid across the ground as it exploded in his face. His face quickly regenerated into a fierce, angered look. He let out a shrill cry before crystal shards launched out of his arm. A few of the shards hit Mikey as he tried to move quick enough to dodge them. His right shoulder and torso were littered with shards but he still darted towards Quartz, launching a blast of light using his left hand. Quartz's mouth elongated and swallowed the blast, causing Mikey to stop and look stunned. Quartz burped then smiled as smoke came from his mouth. As Mikey sat there stunned, Quartz has slithered his right arm behind Mikey.

"MIKEY! LOOK OUT!" Leonidus yelled.

Mikey turned around only to have Quartz's arm grab him by the neck. He was carried into the air before being slammed down and drug through the ground. Quartz dove into the air once more and slammed Mikey into the ground one more time before retracting his arm. Quartz moved towards Mikey with his crystal blade arm, right before he reached him, Alyx dove in and cut his arm off with an Overdrive Blade! He landed on the ground and blasted Quartz away with a Diamond Buster.

"H-Hey... Are you alright?" Alyx asked.

"N-Never been... Fucking better..." Mikey responded.

Mikey picked the shards out of his body as Quartz stumbled up to his feet. Smoke came out of his ears as he began to get even angrier! Mikey and Alyx stood side by side for the first time in 10 years, not as rivals, but as allies!
