My Darling of the Dark

Amelia Bennett’s life changed the night she caught her fiancé cheating on her in their own home. Betrayed and distraught, she was met with what should’ve been a fatal accident, only to survive and awaken in a house filled with dangerous creatures. Love had always been a bitter word for Aziel Sanford. However, that cold heart of his started beating again the night his roommates returned home with a beautiful human woman. But how could a vampire and a human coexist together in a world where they were fated to be predator and prey? Amelia believed the three men were her saviors, not knowing that they sought after her blood. On the other hand, as the days pressed on, the vampires grew to enjoy her presence, quickly forgetting the reason why they brought her back in the first place. What happens when two broken souls are brought together by the hands of destiny? And when evil seeks to land its hands on Amelia — a human that has more entanglements with the creatures of the night than she originally thought — will their love be enough to save her from it? — “A human?” Not only his face, but his voice too was dangerously appealing to her poor heart, running a shiver down her spine. His heavy, masculine voice rang in her ears like a melody and she was too stunned to speak. She could only gawk at him like a bewitched maiden. Witnessing her numb reaction and stunning eyes locked on him, he teased her, “May I know, why are you looking at me like that, darling?" An intimidating sensation elevated her heart rate hearing such a cheesy abbreviation from a handsome stranger. With the utmost difficulty, she pressed her lips before murmuring out, “A-Are y-you… Mr. A-Azure?” “Azure?” He repeated after her. “How could you barge into a stranger’s room without even learning their name properly? Such an innocent fawn…” He smirked with a sly grin.

“Wh-What?” The stuttered words came out of Felix in disbelief. A chill of fear ran down his spine as he met Cassius’ dangerous eyes. Not only he but even Amelia was also stunned like a statue at the cold threat he proposed.

However, Cassius retained the carefree smirk with his ominous gaze fixed at him. The menacing smile grew wider as he leaned his face a little down, as he was the tallest among the three.

“You heard me,” he said. “So, I will start the count down and leave the choice to you.”

The wicked sneer made Felix a bit anxious but also got on his nerves, making him agitated. He gritted his jowls and scowled at Amelia.

“What the fuck is this psycho talking about, Amelia!? How do you know him? Who is he?”

As she recovered from the dazed state, Amelia tried to meddle into the matter which was turning out to be a serious issue. “M-Mr. Cassius, why are you here? I mean, y-you don’t have to bother—”

“ONE.”
