Making an Example

After Zake said those words, the girls immediately got up from their beds.

"Yuri's not here?"

"What happened to him?"

The girls asked him curiously and with a face of distress. Although the other girls didn't really know him like Arina, he was still their teammate and more importantly a human... er Caster.

"I know just as much information as you do?" Zake replied with a bit of sweat running down his face.

"So basically nothing." Vanessa commented with a face of worry. Meanwhile, Zake began to do something.

He activated his Charm and two cufflinks shaped like eggs appeared on his sleeves.

He pulled out one of his hand and a purple glow came off his hand as he casted a spell.

"Drach Casting: New Creation." In the direction of where he pointed his hand, a large egg appeared and a small brown bear creature with three long tails hatched from it.

This Drach did not exist in real life, unlike the others he made. This one was just created because he didn't have any other Drachs that could suit the particular situation.

The bear stayed in place and the girls inched away from it in fear it might attack them.

Zake climbed up to the top bed and grabbed Yuri's jacket.

"Here." Zake gave the bear the jacket and it began to sniff it. After a few sniffs, it ran outside the room.

"That way." Zake said as he and the girls followed the bear creature to where it was going.

The bear led them upstairs to the second floor through the elevator. This was the floor where the Second Years stayed.

As they walked in, they noticed a crowd had formed close to the stage in the main hall. The crowd both consisted of Second Years as well as First Years making it much bigger than it would have been which shocked them 'cos it wasn't normal.

Zake released the Drach from existence and after, he and the others joined the crowd where they saw the terrible thing that was happening.

A boy in red slicked back hair in a full red suit with black sleeves was holding a crystal baton which was made with his Casting.

Next to him, tied up in the air with no clothes except underwear was a boy with dark skin who had been blindfolded and gagged. On his right were also a few Second Years who stopped him whenever the boy tied up struggled.

"This is why you shouldn't mess with your superiors. Stay in your place unless you wanna end up like him." The boy wielding the crystal baton named Felix said and instantly took off the tied boy's blindfold, revealing his face for everyone to see.

"Yuri!!!" Although they didn't say this outloud, Sun 5 was shocked at this discovery.

Felix turned Yuri around until he could see his bare chest which was very toned and full of abs. Felix became a little jealous after noticing this, 'This little...' Felix began hitting Yuri on his chest with the baton in his hand, leaving shards stuck to his body whenever he did so. And when he would be hit again, the shards would dig in deeper, causing blood to trickle down from it.

Everytime Felix's baton would break, he would just create a new one. His Charm had eight Open Gems and he was at Stage 7, the highest among all the Second Years so his strikes were no joke.

Yuri gritted his teeth and began to tear up as liquid rised in his eyes.

"Light Casting: Ray Blast."

Arina and the others finally acted, sick of seeing their friend in pain.

As the blast hit for the Second Years next to Yuri, they were knocked to the ground in one hit.

This was because Arina had used a special Amplification Spell which increased her attacks strength threefold.

But as it came towards Felix, the latter opened his mouth and let out a yawn. He then pulled out his hand which was glowing green and a shield made of pure crystal appeared in his hand. When Arina's attacked touched it, it had next to no effect.

"Aww, looks like your friends have come to save you. Too bad they'll fail." Felix blasted a fast large blue crystal which twisted and turned like some sort of drill.

"Luck Casting: Clovered Field."

Once the attack reached them, it had just gone above their heads.

When they turned around, they saw Vanessa's hands glowing a bright pink colour.

"Nngh." Felix grunted in anger.
