Chapter Two Hundred and Sixty Nine

George POV

Am happy right now that I got this ring, I want to propose to Sarah but it is not going to be now or in this place, I want the place where am going to propose to her to have a romantic setting. I want to propose to her in a way that she will not forget in a hurry, I have got gifts for my mother, Aunty Rose, Sarah's mother and Josh Sarah's brother who I heard is around now. Am glad Sarah and I were able to settle our differences cause those days she was mad at me were like hell to me and am happy that it is in the past now. Every one of us are done with our packing and ready to leave, I called the head pilot to ready the jet for takeoff.

We lodged out of the hotel, I looked back at the hotel and shook my head. Here we have fun together, get to know each other better and also hurt each other. The memories I got from this place could not be easily forgotten. We boarded the plane, Sarah sat with Ella while Max and I sat beside each other. Max pretend to be asleep beside me and I can see Ella looking at him from time to time, this got to show me that there is still hope for the two of them to be together. I looked at Sarah she is sleeping with her head on Ella's shoulder.

How I want her to rest her head on my shoulder instead but I will not deny Ella the companionship she is seeking for at this moment. Am contemplating within me how to open this conversation with Sarah, although Sarah did not say anything to me, am sure she will not like to be involve in this issue cause she herself is also mad at Max. I looked closer at Ella and I can tell that she is going through a lot of emotional stress, she has dark circles around her eyes indicating her lack of sleep. I pray that they settle their issue as soon as possible cause the both of them look so miserable.

We finally arrived at the airport and the jet touched down, we came down from the jet, Ella and Sarah themselves stating that they want to use the restroom. Max and I stand beside the car that Aunty Rose called to pick us up. Have you talked to her yet? Max asked. No not yet but I will soon once we settle down, I answered and assured him. Okay, call me when you finish talking with her so that I will know what her reply will be, Max said. Sure I will definitely do that, I assured him.

Ella and Sarah came back from their trip to the restroom, Ella looking better than she was before, seem like she put on make up to cover those dark circles and how pale her face was looking before, she looked better now. We entered the car and headed to Ella house first, we reached her place, her father was there waiting for us. Ella stepped down from the car and run to her father and hugged him tightly like she is still a kid. Her father can't help but laugh at how adorable his daughter is behaving, if only he know that his daughter is seeking for comfort from him.

Max handed the gift he got for Jerry to him while he promised to come back and chat with him properly. We headed to Sarah's home next, we arrived and met only Josh at home their mother is not around, George and I exchanged greetings and Max also. I gave him what I got for him, he is really thrilled that I got a gift for him, one thing I like about this guy is that he appreciate every little thing you do for him just like his sister. Sarah gave me a good bye hug and nod towards Max silently acknowledged him.

Hey tell Mum that I will come and see her tomorrow, I need to rest am already tired, Sarah said to me. Sure I will tell her that, I assured her. We entered the car, I told the driver to take us to the Cobb's mansion but Max asked the driver to drive us to the Vincent mansion instead. Hey, dude you are not going to see your parents? I asked him cause I don't understand why he need to be at my mother house while he have gifts that he need to give to his parents. I don't want them to see me this way, cause they will bug me with questions and they will not stop until they get answers and am not ready for that now, Max explained.

I understand his point and am not going to push him, he is going through a lot and I understand if he want to stay where he will not be disturbed. We arrived at my mother house, she is so happy to see me and even surprised that Max is with me but she chose not to ask him what he is doing here. My mother hugged me and Max but she kept looking at the door, I already know who she is looking for and I decided to mess around with her. Here I am thinking that my presence will be enough for you, I even brought your second son but you are still expecting someone that is not even your child, I complained while pouting but internally am laughing my ass off.

My mother narrowed her eyes at me and looked at me intently, I gulped cause this is not the reaction I was expecting from her, she seem like she is about to murder me with her eyes. She kept on looking at me without blinking her eyes. What? Why are you looking at me like that, you are scaring me, I said hoping that she will stop giving me that scary look. Did you break up with her? My mother asked. At first I was confused on who she was referring to but I remember that am the one she is staring at not George. No no we are still together like glue, I answered. Then why is she not here you? My mother asked.

She asked me to tell you that she will not be able to come today cause she is really tired and need to rest, she promised to come tomorrow, I informed her. Hoping that she will stop giving me that scary stares. Okay, fine, the two of you should go your rooms and freshen up and come down to eat I prepared a welcome dish for you, so that when you are done eating and have the rest you want then you will tell me everything that happened in Los Angeles, My mother said to us.

I smiled at her tactics cause am aware that she knew everything that happened in Los Angeles cause Aunty Rose always tell her what is going on in my life and that of Max as well. We went upstairs to take our shower after each of us gave my mother the gifts we got for her.
