Chapter Two: Heartbreak in past (2).

My grandfather made that decision because he knew about my parents. In his childhood days, my father's father meant my real grandfather and he were best friends.

Everyone agreed. Back then, our family members called us ' couple,' ' Lovebirds,' etc.– just to tease us. At first, l was confused about what to do but—

' Vikram, now we are engaged, soon we will become husband-wife, so please take good care of me, hehehehe'.

The vacation was ended. We were separated from each other. When l returned home, her words were echoing in my head. I learned that if Maya became my wife l need because strong enough to protect her.

I work hard, even harder. I pushed myself so hard that l collapsed many times, but think about her; l endured all the pain.

A few months passed, and the DURGA PUJA arrived. I and my parents got an invitation from my grandfather. They halt the Durga Puja in his house every year. I was so excited because that was my chance to make a new memory, with my family and especially with Maya.

' Maya, let's go together to see the pandal making'.

' Vikram I'm not feeling well, so another time'.

On the first day of the festival( Sapthmi ).

' Maya, let's go; there are many food vendors.'

' Vikram I'm busy now'-' so another day'.

Thug, the festival was at the end. I felt strange about her so l visited her to talk.

' Maya, the puja was fun but without you, l can't properly enjoy-' l was thinking of spending time with you'- ' why are you silent?'.

' SHUT UP!!!'-'Just leave me alone!'-' YOU DISGUSTING EXISTING ANIMAL'.

' what?!... What happened to you...you never talk like that. Is there something bothering you? Please tell me.

' Listen. From now on, we are strangers, forgot about my existence. I can't imagine a happy life with you...not me no girl can't do. You think it's child's play; You are a child, immature, irresponsible- so I'm begging you to leave me alone '.

After her true feelings were confessed, l accepted her proposal. I returned home.

' You are disgusting, ' Just leave me alone...— The words here were echoing in my mind, l shut my ears, but they still lingered. Suddenly, l got a high fever. Little by little my body fell apart– l was losing my life.
