Sword of Damocles

Port Mafia, Yokohama

Nakahara Chuuya found himself caught by Port Mafia's Gifted. His hands and feet were bound with some weird Ability that stops his gravity from activation. However, the Port Mafia's boss surprisingly let his subordinate withdraw and remove the Ability binding him.

"Chuuya-kun, are you interested in affiliating with Port Mafia?"

"HUH?"

Chuuya freed himself with gravity and stands up from the chair.

"I suppose that's the reaction that I should have expected."

Mori Ogai nonchalantly continue to persuade Chuuya to work with them. He even openly admit killing the previous boss causing Chuuya's surprise. As a hidden card, he played a recording from a member of sheep that shows their situation of getting caught by Port Mafia.

"An organization bent on retaliation that controls prime property in Yokohama... But even though you're armed with guns, all members, aside from you, are just children. As a fellow leader, I feel for you..."

"You..."

"There you have it, Dazai-kun. The wielder of the greatest violence in this room is Chuuya-kun. But, to Mafia, violence is just one tool at our disposal. The Mafia's true nature is to control rational action by a plethora of means."

"Why are you telling that to me?"

"I wonder."

Forced Chuuya agreed to exchange information with Port Mafia. As Mori give the information in his hands, he played a video prom a projector in the room. It was the "previous boss" appearing in the Port Mafia's well guarded volt claiming to revive due to Arahabaki's anger.

"It was no coincidence that you're investigating Arahabaki. Nakahara Chuuya-kun, mind to tell us about it? What is (Arahabaki)?"

"We get a lot of drifters. There's no easy way to find the source of rumors. Do you know how Suribachi City was made?"

"The city was built in the aftermath of an unexplained explosion at the end of the Great War."

"The explosion was caused by Arahabaki, supposedly. Rumor claims that eight years ago, a captured foreign soldier was tortured at the Military Facility in that settlement. His rage and hatred summoned Arahabaki, and the black flame blew up the nation's soldiers, facility and all. That explosion resulted in..."

"The Suribachi City as we know it now."

Mori ended up letting the two team up to solve the problem. With Sheep members as hostages, Chuuya can only agree to work together with Dazai.

As the three on the top of Port Mafia building talks, a sudden chill of seemingly violent power swept to the them causing their attention to turn towards outside. Port Mafia's top floor have large bullet proof clear and large enough to view Yokohama as a whole.

The scene in their eyes, similarly visible to other people that attracted the attention of many Yokohama Residents. A huge sword floating on top of Suribachi City. This is the sword of the King of the Red. A sword with an irregular blade which bend near the tip of the blade and porous near the hilt. The cross guard has a red orb in the middle with the guard protruding to the side. It also has a swirl like shape as a grip. It gives off an aura of seeming overwhelming violence and terror getting released.

"That is... what?"

Chuuya express his doubt but no one present could give him the answer.

"It's good that Izaya got every surveillances in Yokohama under his control. Suribachi City is very remote but it's tightly under the guard of Special Division. The explosion 8 years ago was still unexplained thus there's no way of letting any information crawl under their eyelids. They could only continue to heavily monitor Suribachi City."

Subaru talks as the they walk deeper into the center of the city. Although surveillance cameras won't capture them, the Gifted from Special Division will probably investigate about it.

"It's here."

Mikoto finally spoke. Due to the explosion that swept near this place earlier, the center of the city is currently a plain barren land. No resident was also present, probably got caught in the explosion or move away for safety.

Mikoto confirms that they are the only people present and signal to Subaru to distance himself. He unleash the Sword of Damocles that he's constantly suppressing and draws out a large aura forming an inverted crown of DOLLARS insignia. In the middle of the crown was words written "We were here."

The insignia was printed with aura in the land right in the middle of the explosion 8 years ago. After finishing, Mikoto retracts the Sword of Damocles. Subaru finally approach his side.

"Next is only to wait on the cliff. That area is quite small to find a hiding place though."

"We didn't need to hide. Just wait for them leave Nakahara Chuuya alone."

"Ah, should we go back to pick up Rui, then? She wants to see that Nakahara, right?"

Mikoto nods and the two make their way to go out of the city. No one will probably imagine that the culprit so openly show such terrifying Ability will just boldly walk away.

Dazai and Chuuya worked together to defeat the Transcendence, Arthur Rimbaud. The words that Rimbaud say in his last moments touches Chuuya who was curious about what is he. In the end, he still bury his body and give him a decent grave.

What Chuuya didn't expect was Shirase, a member of Sheep, would betray him as he insert a knife with rat poison on his stomach. Betraying Sheep? How could he do that! With sheep and GSS joining hands, Chuuya gritted his teeth and use gravity to break down the ground that he's standing on causing him to fall off the cliff and invade the rain of the bullets that was suppose to befall on him.

"[Leader], my ass. I was the one ruining the organization."

Chuuya who falls under a speck on land few steps away from the sea mutters his reflection. Not long after, he saw Dazai with a group of Port Mafia personnel on the other side. He was invited again to Port Mafia in exchange of letting the Sheep escape Port Mafia's retaliation.

"I'll rip you into shreds someday."

Chuuya let such words but agreed still to Dazai's condition. Dazai and the others move away as Chuuya struggles to maintain his conscious due to getting poisoned. A few minutes later, he heard another movement on the side. It was a red hair teen around 17-18 holding the hand of little orange hair child carrying a temari ball beside a blue hair boy with glasses. Wondering what they're here for, Chuuya alertly try to stay on guard but his body wasn't in any condition to follow his instructions. The blue hair boy approaches him as he hear him say:

"Rest assured. I'm just here to treat you. It's Rui's request so, what can I do?"

Rui? Who's that? Chuuya was puzzled about what the boy said but without waiting for him to react the boy hand reaches his wounded stomach. He can feel the wound heeling the poison he's trying to endure slowly faded. Unfortunately, with the initial tiredness out of forcing his mind trying to stay awake is still there.

Chuuya felt like he's about to lose conscious. The last thing he heard was a voice from the little girl saying:

"Arahabaki, congratulations."
