Club Roar (Ch.22)

Kelevi watched the car turn round the corner and he immediately trailed close behind, now that he had finally found his beloved, Kelevi would die a thousand times before he let her get hurt.

Kelevi followed the car closely till it pulled into the parking lot of a club and Kelevi winced slightly as the booming sounds from within the club reached his hearing.

"How ingenious." Kelevi heard his beloved say as she alighted the car,

Kelevi quickly hid in the shadows so he would not be spotted as he found his beloved had rather keen senses.

"Don't you even think about it, Lani!" The loud female called Summer warned and Kelevi frowned to see his mate's reluctance.

The loud female pulled Kaylani along with her, not even bothering with the long line of patrons outside,

She walked straight to the front to flash a golden card to the bouncers who immediately stepped aside and granted them entrance.

The two disappeared into the club and Kelevi then stepped out of the shadows, heading up to the club.

"Hey! We've been out here for hours!" One of the patrons in line called out, but Kelevi didn't bother with them.

"We'd have to see your card, Sir." One of the bouncers said to Kelevi,

Kelevi lifted his gaze up to meet the bouncer's and watched as his pupils dilated, without a word, the bouncer stepped to the side, allowing Kelevi to pass through.

Kelevi winced slightly as he stepped straight into the booming music that nearly pierced his sensitive ears,

He quickly dimmed his hearing slightly and it took him another moment to adjust to the atmosphere.

As always, the smell of smoke, cash, sex and alcohol penetrated Kelevi's nostrils, his nose twitching slightly as he took a deep breath in, sorting through the scents.

Kelevi picked up the scent trails of a good number of inhumans and his gaze roved around to identify each of their locations.

On first count, Kelevi picked up four vampires, an incubus and two succubus demons, about three wolf shifters, there was even a were lion which was one of the many lesser species of the shifter race.

Kelevi decided there was no immediate danger as he ventured deeper into the club, his eyes fixed on his beloved as she was pulled to the bar.

The loud female ordered the drinks while Kaylani gazed around the club with a shake of her head.

She accepted the drink offered by the loud female and took a sip, hissing quietly much to Kelevi's amusement.

"Urrrggh... that burn." Kelevi heard his beloved murmur,

Kelevi's lips twitched slightly as he took note of the fact that his beloved was not fond of alcohol.

The two chatted at the bar for a little bit and Kelevi hissed in annoyance when he noticed many lustful gazes had turned to them, whilst they remained completely oblivious.

Kelevi found his beloved in particular had even attracted the attention of some of the inhuman in the club and Kelevi guessed if her scent was as maddening as it was to him, many others would take notice of it.

Kelevi was glad he had come, that way, whoever was daring enough to make any advances on his beloved would meet a very gruesome end.

As for the other human males drooling over his beloved, as much as it irked Kelevi, there was nothing much he could do about it.

The thought angered Kelevi as he was tempted to storm up to beloved and mark his territory so everyone knew to stay away or face the consequences.

However Kelevi knew his beloved would not take kindly to him appearing before her at this time, not when she still saw him as nothing more than a monster.

The thought of this ached Kelevi's heart terribly, but Kelevi comforted himself in the fact that as long as she was safe, his time would come.
