First taste of lost

I couldn't stop thinking about what Peter said to me in class. It never crosses my mind if Ella has a boyfriend or not.

Lou sighs in distress as he walks home from school.

Creaks* door open

Lou goes to the kitchen and finds her mom making lunch for him.

Lou," Mom, didn't you go to work today?

Mother," Yes. Do you remember the last time when I told you about the new house?

Lou," Yes, I do. The house is quite fine.

Mother," I found a better one. It's just one street away from your school.

Lou," Mom, you don't always have to give in for my sake. Didn't like the previous house so much? My school is not even that far.

Mother," I'm not giving in, alright. I do like the house and just got lucky that it's nearby your school. Also, our home is next to Henry's house.

Lou smiles," As mom wishes, then.

Mother went to the storage room and calls out to Lou.

Lou, I need your help here.

Lou went and help his mother to carry piles of cartoons inside the room.

Lou asks in confusion," Mom, what is this for?

Mother replies nonchalantly," We're moving out tomorrow.

Why didn't you tell me earlier? , Lou.

You just have to study hard. Leave the housework to me," Replies mother.

You shouldn't do heavy work all by yourself, Mom," Lou sighs.

I know. That is why I have asked Henry's Mother to help me tomorrow," speaks Mother.

Mother urges," Go and change your clothes. You can pack your things if you want to help me.

Lou sighs," Alright. I'll do it.

Lou goes back to his room and calls up Henry.

Call connected-

Henry," Hello neighbour.

Lou," Do you have any other plans tomorrow besides school?

Henry," Do you need my help tomorrow?

Lou," Yes.

Henry," Alright. I'll be there. I'm gaming now, bye-

Alarm ringing

beep-beep-beep

Lou switches off the alarm and got out of bed.

Knock-knock

Mother calls Lou to eat breakfast before going to school.

Lou heads out to the kitchen with his pyjamas.

Mother speaks," Why are you still in your pyjamas?

Ding-dong-

Mother goes out to attend to the guest.

Doors open-

Henry," Good morning, Aunty.

Henry barges in without formality and high five Lou.

Mother sighs," Henry, does your mother know you are skipping classes today?

Henry replies cheerfully," Yes, in fact, she told me to help you both.

Mother smiles in resigned," Alright, come and eat breakfast.

Schools bell ringing-

Is he not coming to class today?

Sara," Ella, what are you thinking? Take out your books before sir enter the class.

Ella," Hmm... nothing.

Ella took out her books and pen from inside the bag and laid them open on the desk.

Lunch break-

Rudy," Ella, why didn't Lou come to class today?

How will I know of that? Like I care! ," I replied grumpily.

Rosie jumps in," We thought, you both are close by now. Anyway, even Henry is absent today.

Rudy speaks," Did they both bunk the class?

I replied," This has nothing to do with us. Let's hurry to class already.

I don't believe after saying that to them. I spent my entire classes thinking about Lou.

As Ella walks with her head low, kicking the stone on the ground, while still in her thoughts.

The stone landed on someone's shoe.
