Chapter 42

It was later in the tournament as all teams had finished the challenge and the hologram showed who was now in the lead.

"What a turn of events! Team Salem finish in first, North Winchester in second, Thunderbird in third and San Teresa in last. And now, Team Salem in the lead with 10 points! Team Thunderbird and San Teresa tied with 7 points and Team North Winchester in last with 6 points!" Said Merlin.

Alastair looked annoyed, while Clair had a cocky smirk and Jorge had a nervous smile as he tried comforting Alastair with his hand on his shoulder.

"I hate this tournament." Said Alastair.

We then see Team Salem celebrating and high fiving each other as the other team watch. Team San Teresa as Xoc, Cadmael and Alicia were ashamed of their results, while Esteban, the man bat, was lying on the ground as he tried sleeping.

"What happened?" Enrique asked.

"Ask Alicia." Said Xoc as she pointed.

"I'm so sorry, everyone! Especially to you Enrique! That spell was too much for me! It kept on telling me that I need to stop lying to myself!" Said Alicia.

"About what?" Enrique asked.

"Well, uh, it's personal!" Said Alicia.

"It's obvious, though." Said Javier.

"You, shut up!" Said Alicia.

"As much as I'm disappointed that we made it in last place. It's okay. We still have more challenges so don't sweat it. This challenge must have been a real challenge. No pun intended. So it's okay, Alicia." Said Enrique.

"Oh, Enrique! You are too kind! No wonder you're our leader." Said Alicia as she blushed with her hands on her face.

"I think it was nepotism." Said Esteban.

"I'm glad you're still with us." Said Enrique.

"I have to be. The sun keeps staring at me. Screw off!" Said Esteban as he shook his fist at the sun.

It would be later as we see Ana and her team together as they all were in high spirits.

"Let's go celebrate! You all have been working hard! It's my treat." Said Ana.

"Alright! Let's go to a buffet. I can eat a whole cow, right now." Said Yuan.

"Knowing you. That's probably likely." Said Virika.

"Oh! Wait! I have something do quickly. Can you guys wait up on me?" Said Ana.

"Sure, we'll wait." Said Zoe.

"Just don't take too long." Said Lucy.

Ana ran off as we see her arrive at Van's homeroom class as Vergil was there waiting for her. He looked like he just got out of a fight and was treated.

"Hello, Ana. How are you doing?" Said Vergil.

"Vergil, what happened?" Ana asked.

"Just a little scuffle. Right, Van?" Said Vergil.

Ana turn and saw Van being tended by Sister Madeline as she was healing his wounds with holy magic. He had large cuts and was badly damaged as he was sitting up like the pain was nothing.

"Van…" Said Ana in shock.

"Oh, hey, Annie." Said Van with a smile.

"Did he do this?" Ana asked.

"No. We were ambushed by some demons after retreating. But don't worry yourself. I'm fine." Said Van.

"That's not true. He was far more injured earlier today." Said Madeline.

"Thank you, sister." Said Van, sarcastically.

"Let me help you, Van!" Said Ana.

"This is official hunter business. You know I can't let you." Said Van.

"Then why haven't you killed him yet, Van!? You're one of the best hunters in this world. And you're telling me you can't kill him!?" Ana yelled.

"It's more complicated than that, Ana. If Van was to fight him one on one, he'd probably be die already." Said Vergil as Ana was shocked.

"W-Why?" Ana asked.

"Because this demon is of the elite class. Even with my skills and life force, I can't kill him easily. And he's working with Rick and his crew of merry men. They always butt in whenever we try to get close. And even they are in a league of their own." Said Van.

"Then do you even have a plan to stop him?" Ana asked.

"Yes, but it's going to need a lot of thinking. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to stop him. He's killed so many of the Van Helsing family. I promise you; I'm going to make him pay for what he's done." Said Van.

"Are you saying that because I'm his next target?" Ana asked.

"Yes. That's why I want you and Abe out of this." Said Van.

"That's not your decision!" Ana yelled.

"Yeah, but I won't let that bastard hurt any of you as long as I breathe!" Van yelled.

But Ana started walking away as Vergil placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Ana, we will stop him before he can reach you." Said Vergil.

"If he reaches me. I'm not going to hold back at all. Because I'm not going to let him get near Abe at all." Said Ana as she left.

"Oh, this is very worrisome." Said Madeline.

"Thanks for the concern, Sister. But I didn't expect her to react in any other way. I've watched her and Abe grow for most of their lives. I have to stop him quick." Said Van.

"But are you feeling better? Since you're standing on your own now." Said Madeline.

"Oh, yeah. Thank you for healing me." Said Van as he winked at her.

"Anytime, Van. I'm happy to aid all children of the lord. And even monsters if you're wondering." Said Madeline.

"I wasn't. Let's go, Vergil. I'm going to make a hell of a plan. But I need you to give this Merlin. We're going to need as much help as we can get." Said Van.

"On it, Van." Said Vergil as he left.

We then see Ana walking back, until we see Daniel waiting for her. She doesn't notice him, until he approached her with his hands in his pocket.

"Hey, you okay?" Daniel asked.

"Daniel! Uh, yeah. Just thinking to myself." Said Ana, startled.

"Oh, okay. Just don't think too much." Said Daniel.

"I'll keep that in mind. Anyway, are you okay? The spell must have been a lot for you and Yuan." Said Ana.

"I was going to ask about you. But you've always been strong minded. So there's no point in asking." Said Daniel.

"It's in the family. But you still haven't answered me. Are trying to avoid my question?" Ana asked as she lean close to him.

"Ugh, I'm…okay. I guess. I just hate remembering those days. Just thinking about pisses me off so much. And getting pissed off, makes me even more pissed!" Said Daniel slowly getting angry.

"Easy, there." Said Ana as she placed her hand on his hands.

"But…I remember what Padre said about me. And…I remembered you. A-And the team. Of course!" Daniel responded as he glanced to his side, while blushing.

Ana was surprised by his words and smiled at his reaction as she walked close to him.

"I remembered of you. A-And the team, too!" Ana responded, playfully.

"Tch, whatever! I hate opening up. Therapeutic my ass!" Said Daniel.

"I'm kidding! C'mon, let's get some food." Said Ana as she grabbed onto Daniel's arm.

"Yeah, yeah." Daniel responded as he continued to blush.

It was later that day as we see Ana with her crew walking together. They were walking on the sidewalk as Emilio was pushing Lucy's chair.

"So where should we eat?" Zoe asked.

"Somewhere good. I don't want what happened last time to happen again." Said Lucy.

"Hey, it's good to try something new." Said Yuan.

"Dude, we had like diarrhea for like a week." Said Zoe.

"The true victims was our toilets." Said Virika.

"Let's just go to the usual spot." Said Daniel.

"That's fine by me. All agree?" Said Ana.

"Aye." Everyone responded.

"The aye's have it." Said Ana.

They kept on walking, until we see Delilah ahead of them. Daniel sensed something from her as he stared at her as she walked by them. Until she held her hand up at Ana as there was dark magic circle on her hand.

"Dark Dimensional Shift." Said Delilah.

Daniel tried to quickly respond, but he quickly noticed Adriana, the black witch, nearby. She had set magic circles underneath them as they all were teleported away. Delilah took Ana into an alternate dimension mirror world. The dark magic circle went away from her hand as Ana quickly summoned her shotgun and aimed it at Delilah.

"Watch out." Said Delilah.

Suddenly, Ana's face was grabbed by Bram as he hurled her far off. Ana rolled and slide across the ground, but she quickly recovered and looked up. Bram stood with an evil smile, while Delilah jumped up to light post and sat on it.

"That went smoother than I thought. Good work, Delilah." Said Bram.

"You must be him. Bram…" Said Ana with furious look on her face.

"I'm taking it that you want to kill me." Said Bram.

"Shouldn't you be telling her about her friends?" Said Delilah.

"Oh, yeah. Since we're going to kill you. We can't leave any loose ends. So, we have some friends to play with yours." Said Bram.

We then see the four that Van And Vergil faced earlier as they had Ana's team surrounded. The vampire had the dark circle on his hand as they all shifted to the mirror world and had been teleported outside of the city. They were near the highway as they all were on guard and confused.
