Scar POV.

I might just leave, leave back to hell, back to Arlo, but I'll be losing my one and only chance to get a pet, my only chance to do so. New York, I always heard about this city, it's Ebony's city, I know she won't kill me if she catches me on her lands, but she won't be nice either, if my pet is hiding somewhere around here, I need to find it.

I was walking around, trying to disguise myself, I knew New York, have vampires territory in them too, maybe my little would be a vampire, they are a creature of the night, ones that live forever, although most are dominant, some are submissive too, they are the most familiar to the pet life, they own several auction houses around the world.

I made it to gates, and walked in, my face was covered by a hood, I looked just like any other vampire around here, I didn't know what I'm looking for exactly, but I could feel their auras, most of them were looking to kill, the other half were taken. I don't know why I thought that a vampire, a creature that lives on blood would be able to hold any kind of love or innocence, I'm just being stupid, I should leave.

I almost did that, I gave in until I felt something, innocent, pure, filled with joy, and....and ice cream?

The owner of this aura got me turning toward them, looking all around to find them, they didn't want blood but wanted ice cream, which made me smile, it's exactly what I'm looking for someone who's innocent. I'm just hoping that my tiredness, and need to find someone didn't lead me to some child, it doesn't feel like a child, and here I am looking for them.

I followed them around, trying to get the person with the innocent aura, that person wasn't alone, along with him came another aura, and another one, one was filled with dominance, a strong person, I'd compare him to us lords, a vampire lord perhaps, but the third aura, smart, innocent, filled with love. That one was calling to me, that aura, I need to find their owner, I need them, whoever they were, they're going to be my future pet.

I took another step closer this time, I almost made it to them, but seeing bodyguards, the way they were armed and protecting their lord, I knew this was a lord I'm dealing with, I took a step back just looking, observing.

A little boy, holding the lord hand, he's not a child, but a little, he's the one in the search for ice cream, now that I'm closer, I could tell it's not just ice cream he loves, he loves the lord too, their relation, their aura and connection, it just reminds me of my king and his pet, another person for me to envy. I turned back to the third one, wishing to go they aren't taken either, they turned out to be a she, a girl with the bluest eyes I've ever seen, her eyes sparkle like diamonds, her long hair, jet black, she was a short thing, compared to me or the Lord, she's tiny.

But that wasn't all, she had fox ears on her head, not one that you are born with, but clip-on, along with a tail, she's a fox, my little fox...

She's mine, she doesn't know it yet, but I've chosen her, I saw her order the ice cream, the way she got just as happy as the lord pet when she got it, the way she ate it smiling. After the ice cream, they went to the park, I followed them of course, I'm not letting her out of my sight no matter what, I saw her play on the swings, the slides, the way she giggled and jump on the other little giggling, it was the most beautiful voice I've ever had.

I wished I could get closer, but with the lord being this close, I couldn't risk my presence, I kept a distance, the game of patience was one we learn on a younger age back in hell, you'll never make it to be a lord if you couldn't wait and see.

/"Andy, Arianna, time to go/" the lord calls.

/"Arianna,/" I whisper the name floating through my lips, it taste as sweet as honey, I saw her intelligent eyes turn to me, she didn't hear me but she looked to my side. I turned away, pretending to be walking off, avoiding getting caught.

The lord took them toward a car, sitting both his little and my future one with him in the back, I had to do my research, I had to find her, and find a way to get to her.
