Lithale mixed a drink and stared at his vast garden below with great pride, however any mortal with any knowledge of farming would pull their hair seeing his garden. Fruit trees grew in terraced land, ginger and root plants grew in the clouds, vine plants grew wild on the ground with no structure to climb, and other bizarre oddities.
Some spots of this world there was correct forms of farming but Lithale found it quite boring so he changes the way plants grow every other year. It was just to spruce up the design of the world, it had no affect on the produce created in any form. The produce he created were of marvelous design, like giving a mortal high attainment with elements or increasing the talent of a genius or regular mortal.
However, do Universe Creators like Lithale buy these produce to eat? No. Being like him had no need to eat food as they were above such things.
As Lithale looked out the window he saw his reflection faintly in the window. His long robes that covers his body in modesty but still grip his frame tightly. The clothes almost graze the ground so gently with every step he takes. He has broad muscular shoulder with strong arms that look like he could carry the sky on his back. His legs look like they can squish a watermelon with ease. He puts powder of many different color pigments on his face. His lips, eyes, and cheeks were all colored brightly.
Lithale took a sip from his sour drink, and stains the rim of his glass with the pigment on his lips, and glanced at the clock. The big hand was on 7, the small had in between 12 and 13, and the medium hand was on Uranus. He let out a sigh and then began to walk out of the house, he was expecting company.
As he was walking out he thought to himself for a while. It felt awkward he was also friends with their daughter at the place that he works but not as close. But then again he met her before the idea of having a daughter was even thought of.
He stood outside of his house and began walking to his favorite place on this world, on the top of a terraced hill that grew Osmanthus tree in full bloom, perfuming the air and made for wonderful tea or wine.
Once he got to the summit of the hill Lithale waved his hand and materialized two chairs made out of red wood and a table made out of opal. He looked up at the sky and took a sip from his drink, half way empty now. "Any moment now." He muttered as he put his drink on the table.
The sky then darkened to gray and then quickly to black, the clouds blocked out the sun and any source of light from above. The clouds then rumbled with lighting of many colors streaking across the sky. A light drizzle started and grew in tremendous volume, the soil below began to loosen beneath his feet. The lighting then converged together and the struck the ground in one massive bolt right a few feet away from where Lithale was standing. The sky then cleared up and the sunlight then filled world, the water quickly got soaked into the land and the surrounding tree grew a few more feet. "A dramatic entrance as always," Lithale said as he took a step to the crater caused by the lighting bolt.
The crater wasn't as large as one might think, only four feet in radius and a five foot deep. "Hello Malstilla, it's been some time." Lithale said as he extended a hand to help her climb out of the crater. When she climbed out of the crater she dusted off the dirt on her outfit by dematerializing it with a flick of her hand.
"I could say the same here, Lithale," Malstilla responded in turn. She was dressed in a dark black mermaid dress, encrusted with various dark gems. Malstilla was naturally tall herself, standing proudly at six foot and five inches, she wore heels that elevated her height to where most would forced to look up to see her face. Her neck was cover in a 3 row pearl choker with a diamond as a center piece that reflected light brightly.
"What's that you got there?" Malstilla said pointing at the drink Lithale put on the table. The drink now slightly watered down due to the rain she caused.
Lithale held the drink out for Malstilla to get a better look at it, "A lemontini, the liquor is made from my produce." He then took another quick sip, any sour drink was his favorite.
"Oh that sounds tasty, what kind of lemon did you put in? I know you got some many varieties of the same fruit here, I would feel dumb if I guess wrong." Malstilla said, waving her arms to show the grandeur of the plants Lithale has cultivated.
"It a Dulce lemon from the Tvasi planet from one of the universes I created, if one of the mortals were to eat the fruit they would gain a low level attainment to poison." Lithale said proudly holding the drink higher.
Getting her answer Malstilla walked to one of the chairs and sat down. "Would you be ever so kind a mix a girl a drink?" Malstilla said in a flirty voice and exposes her bosom to Lithale.
Lithale returned the energy, "How can I ever turn down a request from the most beautiful woman I've ever know?" He response with a small snicker. He then turns around materialize the ingredients to make her a drink.
"I've only had this appearance for a thousand years Lithale you've seen my others," Malstilla said, returning to her friendly attitude, "Is this really the most beautiful form that I have? My opus magnum of my looks?"
Lithale rolled his eyes back into his skull and left out a deep sigh, "No, I remember your other forms and appearances. I remember when you looked like an ascetic monk for centaury to fool a Creator for a weapon design to give to one of your transmigrated heroes. Then there was a time when you were a ten foot tall man with bulging muscles and drove all of the Universe Creators with your big pecs. But before that..."
Malstilla failed her hands to cut . She was well aware of what she had done with her appearances in the past. She was by far no means talented or skilled in that department as there were stories of other Universe Creators being so skillful with their appearances that they started huge uproars throughout the community.
Lithale stopped talking and finished up her drink. He placed right in front of the drink Malstilla would always request when they were together, A Sex on the Beach. A bright smile lit her face
"So how's work going for you?" Malstilla said as she laid back into her chair
"I quit." Lithale said sighed as he took his final sip from his drink, Malstilla raised her eyebrows in surprise, "Don't give me that look, you know that I've never need that job, like ever. I got the farm to make me money and you know even if shit hits the fan I got enough money to live a millennia comfortably."
Malstilla raised her hands defensively, one hand holding the drink. She let out a fake sigh of offense. "Now you know I never said anything about money. I guess mean now you got a lot of time on your hands now and what are you going to do with it. And you know that if things get really horrible you can always live with me."
Lithale let out a sigh and flung his head back. He hasn't thought about it, he has nothing but time on his hands and with nothing to do. He could create another universe but the was no real need for it, he met the mandatory amount for the universe and he doesn't need another source of income.
After a moment of empty thinking he said his first thought, "Wanna Transmigrate a soul? That could pass the time. I got nothing important going on and you got a few Eons before you have to do maintenance on your universes."
Malstilla paused and thought to herself. She grabbed her drink and chugged all of it down in one go. "Fuck it," She said, "I got nothing else either and it's been some time since we hanged out like this."
"Should we put in a request through the government?" Lithale asked Malstilla. She gave no response and they stared at each other silently for a moment. They then burst into loud laughter.
"Fuck no bitch! They got too many damn rules and regulations to follow! We're just summoning soul to reincarnate for entertainment!" She laughed joyously as she took another sip from her drink. She then put her drink down and flicked her wrist.
A slot machine appeared mid air and fell with to the ground with a loud thud. There were many glittering lights flash vibrantly. It's frame made from plated and the lever was made from shiny steel and with an onyx ball on top that been polished brightly. Loud bells and whistles came from the machine that lures the foolish and unwise with money.
"Dear god how long has it been since I saw one of these?" Lithale said as he sat down in front of the slot machine and gazed at the columns. They carried the traditional symbols on slot machines, such as cherries, bells, dollar signs, and the bar.
Malstilla pouted a little and crossed her arms, careful not to spill her drink. "You would see these a lot more often if you visit my plane sometime. I'll explain it to you because I know that you've probably forgot. This slot machine is designed to give you a soul based on what you get"
While a lot of Universe Creators were secluded they still had to earn a living. Malstilla way of earning money was through operating a Casino plane that had multiple forms of entertainment, gambling being the most common. Many people that frequent the place knows that at the end of the day the one who wins the most is the House. To say that Malstilla was wealthy was an understatement.
Lithale earned his through selling the produce of his garden planes. While many Universe Creators are able to create their own plants, herbs, fruits, or vegetables some either don't have the talent, the time, or are just plain lazy and want to outsource the job to him. This also encourages him to constantly expand his garden by creating new planes or new worlds. This line of industry has a lot of competitors and he has to constantly maintain his edge but he could relax for a moment.
"Pull the lever Lithale!" Malstilla said in a old woman's voice and then laughed at her own joke. Lithale shot her a look and in response she punched him in the shoulder. He reached for the lever and pulled excitedly. The columns then started to spin and gained momentum quickly, becoming a blur to even Lithale's eyes.
"Oh come one mama needs a new pair of shoes!" Malstilla said as she rubbed her hands together for lucky. Once the slot machine reached it's fastest speed, a red button started blinking, it is the stop button that would slow down the slots. Lithale slapped the button once he believed his chances of winning increased, even though there was no real way of "winning" at this slot.
"Lithale I've been thinking," Malstilla said as she put her glass down, the columns barely slowing down, "I've been meaning to create a new casino, no a whole new Casino Universe for some extra cash..."
"What?" Lithale laughed as watched the columns slowed down visibly, "You need more money, then I must be flat broke then."
"Well you know... More money never hurt no one." She said half jokingly
"I've been wanting to make it garden theme and seeing what you have..." Malstilla said, breaking her sentence to think of the proper thing to say, "Well seeing this place I feel like if I were to design it myself I would do a dishonor to a person like you-"
Lithale cut her off, knowing her for as long as he had, he knew what she was saying. "I would be more than happy to help you design the Universe. And besides, When was the last time that we've worked together on something like this?"
"Not in a long time," Malstilla's mind trailed off to memories of when she was younger. Memories of her and Lithale resurfaced, how they use to do everything together.
'What I'd give to be one million years old again!' She thought.
"Later, later!" Lithale said, cutting off Malstilla train of thought. The first column on the reel started to slowed down to a stop. It was a cherry, it did a little dancing animation when it stopped.
Malstilla and Lithale got closer together, in hopes that there luck would increase. The second column slowed to a crawl and then stopped. It landed on cherry.
Lithale and Malstilla screamed with excitement, anyone in close distance would have gone deaf from the sounds they produced. Malstilla spilt her drink over the ground and got some on Lithale but he didn't care as the third column started to slow down.
The column passed the slowly orange, crawled passed the bar, and finally came the cherry. Their excitement grew with each passing one, Malstilla's nails ripping into Lithale's arms as she grabs them in anxious wonder. . And then went back up. They got three cherries in a row.
Lithale and Malstilla let out screams of excitement, the earth below them shook as they turned and began physically shaking each other. Birds fled their home and animals grew worried and anxious as the world they knew started to crumble.
"You know what three Cherries get you, a soul that you met in the past!" Malstilla said as the Slot machine started to rumble and shake. The lights and whistles on the slots grew in volume and brightness. Then suddenly it stopped and shot out a glass capsule at incredible speed.
Lithale quickly caught it with his right hand. "Good reflexes," Malstilla complemented him as she shook his shoulders. "Now tell me who is it, the name is engraved at the top."
Lithale stared at the with great excitement, as all souls in their bare form look similar. The soul had a gentle light that it emits, but something feels off, something unusual. A sense of familiarity came over him. Curious he flipped the capsule on it side to read the name. His face froze when he saw what he read.
Engrave at the top was one word, Lux.
