The Sapotis

The school day ends in a blur.

(Let's pretend they get out of school at 5:30)

" I need to grab my bag for the trip tomorrow, " Marinette says.

" I'll come with you, " Alya says.

" Okay, " Marinette turns to Adrian, " Alya is walking with us today, "

" That's cool, " Adrian says.

They walk to Marinette's house. Marinette gives him a goodbye kiss. Then they go to Marinette's room to get her back then go to Alya's house. Alya opens her door to see her older sister and younger sisters watching TV.

" Hey Marinette, " Anansi says.

" Thank goodness your here, " Anansi ( Alya's older sister) says, " your babysitting them tonight because you'll be gone for a week, "

Anansi leaves.

"Marinette!' Ella and Etta hug Marinette.

(Marinette has already met the whole family)

" Hey, girls, " Marinette says, " I haven't seen you too in so long."

" We know, " Ella and Etta say in unison.

" Let Marinette breathe, " Alya says.

They let go of Marinette

" What movie is this?" Marinette asks.

" We don't remember the name Anansi lit it on, " They says, "but It's about this girl who pretends to be a boy, "

" That sounds like Mulan, " Marinette says.

" Yes, that's what it's called, " They say.

"Great now finish the movie while we finish our homework, " Alya says.

Ella and Etta go to the couch to watch the movie. Alya and Marinette finish their homework.

Alya texts Anansi, " Did they eat already, "

" Of course they did, " Anansi writes back.

Alys stops texting.

" They already are so after this movie one more then it's bedtime, " Alya says.

"We will probably have to go to bed when they do, " Marinette says, " since we have to be at school at five in the morning so that means waking up at three, "

" They go to bed at seven and I'm not going to bed at seven, " Alya says.

" What about ten, " Marinette says.

Alya and Marinette talk for almost two hours trying to figure out how tomorrow is going to go. Alya checks the time.

" It's time for bed you two, " Alya says.

Alya gets them ready for bed while Marinette cleans up their mess.

" Now let me get, " Alys reaches for their hats.

" Can we keep them on?" they ask.

" Okay fine, " Alya says, " Goodnight, "

" No, but we don't want to go to bed, " They say, " we want to stay up with the big kids and the Sapotis, "

" If you don't go to bed then there is no waterpark for you two tomorrow, " Alya says, "Mom, Dad, and Anansi are all coming while I'm at school, "

The two of them go silent. Alya leaves their room and closes the door behind herself. She sits next Marinette who's texting Adrian.

" So what are sipo-Saptes, " Marinette says.

" You mean the Sapotis, " Alya says, " they're monsters from a folk tale that can do whatever they want whenever."

Alya pours Marinette and herself some justice and puts it on the coffee table.

" So what movie are we watching tonight?" Alya asks.

The girls sneak out of their room and drink the juice then run back.

" We have Mulan, Tanned, Snatched never mind that I hate it, also-" Alya says.

" The juice," Marinette says.

When she says that Ella and Etta giggle. Alya walks into their room.

" You know the rules no ear or drinking at bedtime, " Alya says.

" It's not us it's the Sapotis, " They say.

" One more thing and no waterpark, " Alya says.

She leaves out their room.

" Since we have no more juice we can eat something that's almost like juice, " Alya says, " Grapes!"

Alya grabs grapes from out the fridge puts them on the coffee table. They start looking for a movie. They stop when they hear loud giggling. They turn around to see them on the couch and no more Grapes on the plate.

" That's it!" Alya hollers, " I'm telling mom and dad how bad you've been so that means no waterpark, "

" We're sorry Alya we won't do it again, " They beg.

" It's too late I'm already telling them, " Alya says leaving the room.

Alya takes their hats off and puts them on the dresser. Alya leaves their room pretending to be on the phone. Ella and Etta start crying. They get up to get their hats but don't know which is which. They start pulling some of the hats back and forth.

When they do that an Akuma comes in their room. It goes into the hat. Hawkmoth talks to them.

" Sapotis, " Hawkmoth says, " your big sister won't let you have fun, we'll you don't need her. I'm giving you the power to do whatever you want, "

They ask, " So we can go to the waterpark, and stay up, and watch nig kid movies and-, "

" Yes, all of that but you have to get me Ladybug and Cat Noir's miraculouses, " He says.

The two girls change into two tiny red things. Alya and Marinette hear laughing from the room. Alya hers up furious.

"I've had it with these girls, don't try to blame this on the" Alya says, "Sapotis?"

The Sapotis come out of the room trampling over Alya. Alya and Marinette try to catch the Sapotis.

" Maybe you were too strict, " Marinette says.

" Normally when you're strict with kids they don't turn into monsters, " Alya says.

They go into the fridge and eat everything. When they come out they are right of them.

" They double when they eat, " Marinette thinks.

"Get them before they leave the house, " Alya says.

Marinette tries to grab them but fails to catch even one. Alys and Marinette go outside and split up to grab them.

Marinette text Adrian, " We have a situation, Car Noir, "

" Already on my way, " He texts back.

Marinette hides then transforms into Ladybug. Ladybug sees one Sapoti almost electrocuting itself.

Ladybug says, " It's not safe to-. "

" Play with electricity, " Cat Noir finishes her sentence.

" You're here, " Ladybug hugs him.

" Of course I am, " Cat Noir says.

Ladybug grabs the hat off the Sapoti and breaks it but nothing comes out.

" How did you know to break the had?" Cat Noir asks.

" I was babysitting them, " Ladybug says

" But no Akuma came out, " Cat Noir realizes.

" Because that one was a clone, " Ladybug explains, " These creatures multiply when they eat, we need to find the original hat Hawkmoth akumitized, "

" So we have to get them all, " Cat Noir asks.

" You said you wanted a challenge, " Ladybug says, " But this will take forever we need my superpower. Lucky Charm!"

Ladybug's lucky charm is a teapot.

" a teapot?" Cat Noir says.

" I know where I need to go, " Ladybug says, " I'll be right back, "

" I trust you, " Cat Noir says.

Ladybug transforms back into Marinette.

" What are you doing, " Tikki asks.

" You'll see, " Marinette says giving her a cookie, " for now eat this, "

Marinette runs to master fu's place. She knocks on the door and he lets her in. The kwamis see her and come out of their hiding spots.

"You're only supposed to visit master on the twelfth, not the thirteenth, " Wayzz says.

" I think she has her reasons," Fu says.

" I do," Marinette says, " I did my lucky charm and it gave me  teapot the same one that's over there."

" I see," fu saying walking to his record player," I think it's telling you you'll need help this time,"

He grabs a chair to reach the record player. He stands there unsure.

 "I don't know about this I already made a big risk putting the two most powerful miraculouses out at the same time," Fu says.

" and you were right on doing me and Cat Noir ar very very careful," Marinette says.

Fu nods his head. He opens the record player and puts in a passcode revealing a red and black box. He takes the box out and places it in front of Marinette.

" Marinette Dupan Chang you must choose an ally to fight with you and Cat Noir," He opens the box, " choose wisely these should never get into the wrong hands,"

" Wow," Marinette says in awe.

" Once the mission is over you must bring it back to me," Fu says.

Marinette thinks really hard which one to pick and who to give it to. She chooses the fox miraculous. She grabs it.

"Be careful, " Fu says.

"Silly Master Fu, Trixx are for kids!" Marinette chuckles.

Fu takes the Miraculous, " No."

"I'm sorry, " Marinette says, " Give it Baaaaaaaack."

Fu gives it back.

" Thank you, master Fu," Marinette says leaving the place.

Marinette changes back into Ladybug. She searches for Alya and sees her at the Marie go-round with Sapotis.

" I changed my mind, you can go to the waterpark tomorrow," Alya says, " but first I need you to come back home with me, Okay,"

Ladybug comes in and breaks all of their hats. None of them had the Akuma.

" Ladybug!" Alya says, " my sisters have been Akumatized you need to find them and bring them back home,"

" There's a way you can find your sisters," Ladybug says, " but, we're gonna need your help. Are you interested?"

" Me? Help superheroes, you bet I am,"  Alya takes her phone out her pocket, " Just let be call Marinette."

" hold on, this needs to be a secret, got it," Ladybug says, " not a word to anyone,"

" Understood," Alya puts it back.

Ladybug shows her a black and orange box, " Alya Cesaire, I grant you the m=Miraculous of the fox, which grants you the power of illusion, will you use it for the greater good?"

Alya nods her head and takes the box.

" When the job is done you will return it to me," Ladybug says.

She opens the box and a Kwami comes out,

" What is that thing?" she asks.

" I am not a thing," Trixx says, " My names Trixx and I'll be your kwami,"

" You're what gives superheroes their powers. Right?"  Alya asks.

Trixx looks at Ladybug, " Not bad,"

" She knows her stuff," Ladybug says.

"While I have you here. How old are you? Do you know Car Noirs secret identity-," Alya asks.

" Stay focused on what's on hand," Ladybug stops her.

She puts the necklace on her.

" All you have to say is Trixx lets pounce," Trixx says.

" Trixx let's pounce!" Alya says.

She transforms into a fox themed superhero.

" This is so cool!" Alya says," I kinda look like Lila when she was Akumitized," 

" Yes, but you are the superhero version," Ladybug says, "I'll explain the rest to you on the way,"

Alya follows her to where Cat Noir is while explaining all the superhero things. They get to Cat Noir who is getting ambushed by Sapotis. The two of them break all the hats but none of them have the Akuma.

" This is insane," Alya says, "I have powers and fighting supervillains,"

Cat Noir looks up to see Ladybug and Alya in her superhero form.

" Whose friend of yours, to be honest, I thought I was the only one," Cat Noir says.

" Her name is," Ladybug looks at Alya.

"Rena Rouge," Rena says quickly, " yeah that's my name,"

" Well, fox do you think you'll be as foxy as a ladybug?" Cat Noir asks.

" I don't know what you want to bet?" Rena flips his bell.

" If you find yourself lost I can help with some superhero tips," Cat Noir says.

" Oh really? Does Ladybug's phone number count?" Rena asks.

Cat Noir chuckles, " I don't think she wants me giving it out all willy nilly,"

Rena moves way too close to him.

" Too close!" Ladybug pushes them away from each other, " don't you have a boyfriend,"

" Yes I do but, I wasn't gonna do anything," Rena says, " just some teasing,"

" It's okay bugaboo, you know you have a special place in my heart," Cat Noir leans for a kiss.

" Not in front of Ren-," Ladybug says as she is cut off by Cat Noirs Kiss, " Rena,"

" Wait are you two dating?" Rena asks excitedly.

" yes, we are," Cat Noir says, " me and bugaboo have been together for what? About 9 months,"

" No, way!" Rena says, " can I interview you two after this?"

" Sure! why not but we got to hurry before there are too many," Ladybug says.

Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Rena Rouge go to the top of a building and the Sapotis follow them. Cat Noir and Rena Rouge fight off the Sapotis while Ladybug does her lucky charm. Her lucky charm is a unicycle. Ladybug looks around and sees a bunch of stuff. She collects them all.

"Rakes, unicycle wheel, traffic cone, tape, trash can," Rena says, " Is it always this complicated?"

" Trust me, Rena," Ladybug says.

They take the stuff and run across to the other side. The sapotis try to follow them. They make all the things. 

" Sapoti- Waterland is going to open," Ladybug gets on the cart, "Mischief of all types is allowed." 

"All-you-can-eat desserts, gallons of juice, big kid movies, and staying up as long as you want!" Ladybug says.

" Are you ready to use your superpower?" Cat Noir asks Rena.

"I never tried it, I really hope it works," Rena says.

" Just think of what you want to make and it," Cat Noir reassures her.

Rena blows the flute, "Mirage!"

A place that looks like a water park appears. The Sapotis see it and start following Ladybug towards it. 

Rena's necklace flashes, " it's flashing that means I'm gonna change back soon,"

" It's okay if I know who you are, I can keep a secret," Cat Noir says.

" You know very well we can't know each other's secret identity," Rena says.

" You're a fast learner,": Cat Noir says.

" Follow to Sapoti- Waterland," Ladybug says.

The Sapotis follow her into a thin allay.

" Phase two Kitty," Ladybug says, " Right now!"

Cat Noir moves the contraption to its place. Ladybug uses her to spin it. The sapotis run and their hats get thrown up to Cat Noir and Rena Rouge. They get to the illusion and it fades away. Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Rena Rouge have all their hats. Cat Noir uses his Cataclysm to break the bin all the hats are in. The Akuma flies out. Ladybug catches the Akuma. She throws her lucky charm in the air. It changes everything back to normal. The girls are sitting on the floor.

" I'm going to change back soon," Rena says.

" I'll join you," ladybug kisses Cat Noir on the cheek," see you tomorrow kitty, take these girls home," 

" Now which one of you is going to tell me where you live," Cat Noir asks.

" I will," They both say.

Rena Rough turns back into Alya.

" That was so fun!" Alya says.

" I know right, but I need the miraculous back," Ladybug says.

" Can I keep it?" Alya asks, " I can help you and Cat Noir all the time,"

" I trusted you," Ladybug says trying to ask her again, " You promised,"

" Please," Alya begs.

" I'm going to change back on the other side of this door," Ladybug says, " If you change your mind just drop it through the crack,"

Ladybug goes to the other side of the door and changes back to Marinette. Alya buts the box through the crack. 

" Thank you," Marinette says in her ladybug voice. ( let's pretend she changes her voice when she is ladybug)

Alya runs home. Marinette gets the box and walks to Alya's house. Cat Noir pops up behind her.

" Did you miss me?" He asks, " I like your pajamas,"

" We were legitimately just talking," Marinette says.

"Can I take you to Alyas house?" He asks.

"I need to go to Master Fu's place to drop off the miraculous,"  Marinette says, " and it's right there,"

" I'll take you to her house after," He says.

Marinette walks to Master Fu's place. She comes in and gives him back the miraculous.

" I was wondering if you had a miraculous that can teleport because I'm going on a week-long trip and I can just feel that hawkmoth will send out an Akuma," Marinette says.

" Of course I do," Fu says, " I have Kaalki, she is the kwami of teleportation, you can use it whenever but you need to have her miraculous on,"

Fu gives her a pair of glasses.

" Thank you so much, Master Fu," Marinette says while leaving.

She leaves out of his place wearing the glasses.

" Like your glasses," Cat Noir says, " you ready?"

" Thank you mister, and yes I am," Marinette says.

Cat Noir takes Marinette to Alyas house so she doesn't have to walk so long. He puts her down in front of the door.

" I'll see you tomorrow then," Marinette says.

" Of course you will," Cat Noir says.

Cat Noir goes away on his stick. Marinette knocks on Alya's door. Alya opens the door to see Marinette.

" I've been calling you, where have you been?" Marinette asks, walking in her house.

" You won't believe this but," Alya remembers what Ladybug said, " my phone died, we need to be quiet my sisters are finally asleep,"

" I heard Ladybug and Cat Noir had another superhero helping tonights Akuma," Marinette says, " It was a girl,"

" Really I had no idea," Alya says," what was her name?"

"I don't know I think it was Rina Ridge, or something like that," Marinette tries to see a reaction.

" Oh really," Alya says trying not to be obvious," that's a weird name,"

" Yeah, but isn't it like eleven something?" Marinette says," we should be asleep."

"Right," Alya says, " I need to get you the blow-up mattress,"

Alya goes into the closet and gets the blow-up mattress that was already blown up. She puts it down next to her bed and makes it.

"there you go," Alya says," and the outlet is over there so you can charge your phone,"

" Thanks," Marinette gets on the blow-up mattress, " comfy,"

" I'm going to sleep," Alya yawns, turning off the light.

" Same here," Marinette says, dozing off.

The two girls fall asleep within minutes of being in the bed.
