Ch 35 – Mythical Sword

Jinwoo entered his room as the festival ended with the people started going back to their homes with gleeful smiles and red tinted cheeks indicating many were drunk with alcohol.

Jinwoo plop down on his bed to sleep as he willed his quirk to still be constantly up and running as it slowed down his energy usage in sleep while also changing and evolving his body so that it can enhance further from its current state while also making it keep his disguise on so that his SSS levelled charm and charisma doesn't activate.

(The Next Day)

At sharply 6 hours after sleeping, Jinwoo opened his eyes as he felt the finer enhancements done to his body with his quirk.

He heard a sharp knock outside his door with the voice of Anastasia appearing.

"Hero! Rise and shine! The number one knight of the kingdom was task to train you!" said by Anastasia through the door.

"Guwah! Oh, o- okay" said by Jinwoo in a meek voice.

"Don't be scared Hero! Our number one knight is a kind man" said by Anastasia, trying to comfort Jinwoo.

"Y- yes" said by Jinwoo in a now more confident tone.

"Hehe, now please follow me Hero! We are going to the field where the knights train" said by Anastasia.

"O- oh, just a minute then" said by Jinwoo as Anastasia heard clothes being change inside the room as the door was finally opened and Jinwoo with the same appearance he got here was still there.

"Now let's go Hero" said by Anastasia as she did some unprotected hand holding with Jinwoo as she dragged him to the field inside the kingdom.

After walking at a fast pace, they finally saw the field as Jinwoo could be seen huffing and puffing.

"Huff, puff, wooh. That was exhausting" said by Jinwoo as he sat on the grassy ground as sweat drip from his face like a fountain as his whole body was bathed in sweat.

"Hehe, that's why Alex is going to train you hero" said by Anastasia as she chuckled.

"Oh, is that guy Alex?" said by Jinwoo while pointing to a large man wearing golden armor with a sword on his waist rushing to them at immense speeds.

"Yes Hero" said by Anastasia as she chuckled when she looks at Alex.

'Hmm, I could definitely kill him because he's still human' thought by Jinwoo as he felt the thin metallic needle inside his skin.

Alex finally arrives in front of them as he made eye contact with him.

"Hahaha, hello there Hero! From today onwards I will train you till you become the Hero of Legends! I am the number one knight of this kingdom Alex!" said by Alex while pointing to himself.

He has golden blond hair, golden yellow irises, wearing a gold armor with a sky blue cape. Coupled with his very iconic appearance and aura, he looks exactly like a hero.

"Uh… nice to meet you Alex, my name is Sung Jinwoo" said by JInwoo as he stood up and wave hello to Alex.

"Haha, well then Hero! Let us first try and see your combat experience" said by Alex as he drags him to the field while grabbing two wooden swords in a sword rack.

Jinwoo was put down by Alex on the ends of a white circle that was made with paint as Alex went to the other end as he threw the other sword to Jinwoo.

"Okay, so we will do a harmless spar but be careful because you will definitely get injured here Hero. But good thing we have the kingdom's greatest healer team right here" said by Alex as he pointed to the group of people wearing white robes with golden stripes on their robes as they wave happily towards him.

He also awkwardly waves to them with a wry smile as he grabs the sword that he didn't manage to catch as Alex just laugh it off.

'Okay, so either I show a surprising display of battle experience but it will expose more of my trump cards. Let's just show some low level swordsmanship and battle experience' thought by Jinwoo while picking up the sword.

"Uh… Alex, I have a question" said by Jinwoo as Alex just smiled.

"Ask away Hero!" said by Alex while smiling.

"Why do I use a wooden sword here? Could I use other weapons?" said by Jinwoo.

"Oh? Is sir Hero proficient in other weapons?" said by Alex.

"No! Uh… I mean no. I was just wondering why" said by Jinwoo as he swung the sword clumsily.

"Well its because of the mythical weapon that all Heroes that appeared in this land before. They all use this mythical weapon called the Holy Sword! It was said to be forged by the greatest Blacksmith that roamed this land as it was made with materials that is unknown. But it was said that it could go through a dragon's fire without getting hot, defend a dragon's full powered strike without even a tiny dent, and could be said bring untold power to the Hero who wields it" said by Alex as he showed some very good depiction of the myths and legends he heard as he uses the help of Anastasia and her magic to show magical projections.

"Wow! Then why did the people here didn't try to find it and get if for themselves?" ask by Jinwoo as he slowly got better with the sword.

"Its because it was said that only the chosen Hero could wield the powerful blade with their pure heart! So I trust you Hero to bring peace to this land!" said by Alex as JInwoo's eyes started to produce tears.

"Th- thank you Alex" said by JInwoo as he hastily wipes away his tears.

"No need to thank me Hero! You just need to believe in yourself" said by Alex as he laughs.

"Mm! Now I am ready to spar with you Alex" said by Jinwoo as he prepared a poorly executed sword stance.

"That's the spirit Hero! Prepare yourself!" said by Alex as he too made a more perfect sword stance as a Knight went to count down to three.

"3!" shouted by the Knight as Jinwoo activated his quirk to make himself naturally unskilled.

"2!" shouted by the Knight as Alex went to show him a smile filled with good intention.

"1!" shouted by the knight as Jinwoo also smiled with confidence.

"Go!" shouted by the knight as the battle started.

AN: Oh no! Is this the dreaded Alex where Jinwoo caress his big fat fucking SWORD as everyone watches them bond in FRIENDSHIP!?!?
