The Date

Sarah and Alex walked up to the cashier. ¨Table for two please.¨ Alex said to the lady at the counter. ¨Okay. Follow me.¨ She led them to a table set for two. They sat down and looked at the menu. ¨Anything to drink?¨ The lady asked. ¨A Dr. Pepper please.¨ Alex said. Sarah looked up and ordered a fruit punch. When the lady left, Sarah looked at Alex and blushed. He was smiling at her. ¨W-what?¨ She stuttered. Alex laughed and grabbed her hand from across the table. ¨You are so beautiful. I´m very glad you asked me out.¨ He said. ¨No problem.¨ She smiled. The lady was back with their drinks and waited for them to order. ¨Cold soba please.¨ Alex ordered as the waitress wrote it down and turned to Sarah. ¨Steak please.¨ She said. The waitress grabbed their menus and walked away. ¨So did you tell your parents about this?¨ Alex asked. ¨Yeah, I did. It wasn´t hard. What about you?¨ Sarah asked back. Alex laughed. ¨ My sister yelled it through the house. It was so embarrassing. But they are ok with it.¨ He told her. Sarah laughed. ¨I bet you were very embarrassed.¨ She said. After a while, their food arrived and they started to eat. Alex looked at Sarah and smiled. "You have some juice on your cheek. Here." He grabs his napkin and wipes her face. Sarah blushes. "Thanks." They don't talk for the rest of the meal. Alex takes care of the bill while Sarah waits outside. Alex walks out and takes her hand. "Thank you, Alex. This was lovely. Where to now?" Sarah said as she stared at him. He brushed a strand of hair out of her face and smiled. "I know a place. Follow me." He said as he led the way.
