Unlike the ones on land, these nightmares were slimmer, streamlined, and had two claws instead of three. They also had scaly wings, keen sight, and a great sense of smell.
They acted like scouts and aerial combat forces for their queen, who was the Ruler.
"Rift slash!" Ming Yue couldn't help but yell as a massive arc erupting from her katana tore through the skies, leaving a trail of white and falling nightmares.
*Thud* *Thud*
As the nightmares fell to the ground with dull thuds, Angel empowered her rifle, causing it to glow with bright silver light, and then she hit the trigger, releasing a powerful beam made from pure soul energy that wiped out every nightmare in her aim.
Flashing through the air, leaving golden afterimages, Li Mei shot forward with frightening speed, leaving deep gashes on the flying nightmare's bodies, causing them to fall.
