4. Six out of Seven

"He doesn't seem to be hiding." Bruce noted as he saw the screen which is showing Loki who is going to a gala in Germany.

"Nope, and he is looking too smug for someone who is trying to hide." Kabir said his piece.

"What's the plan Fury?" Steve asked him.

"The plan is simple, you go and catch this so called God of Mischief. Make sure to have as less casuality as you can." Fury said to them.

"That's going to be tough considering his tendencies for theatrics." Natasha said in response.

"Well, we should move as quickly as we can. The more time we stay here the more time he gets to complete his plan." Steve said to them.

"Then I'm sure you'll appreciate the fact that you have your vehicle's ready." Fury said to them.

"I just hope you will find the Tesseract so I can go back." Bruce said to them.

This got him a look from Kabir, Natasha, Fury and Hill.

'Yeah, there's no way the world government is going to let him go like that.' Kabir thought to himself.

"Alright, let's hurry. Lives are at stake here." Steve said as he walked away followed by Natasha.

Kabir looked at the two before looking at Fury and Hill who looked back at him.

"You know that he is exposing himself too much right." Kabir said to them.

"Yes, it's almost like..." Hill said before stopping.

"He's waiting for us to get him." Fury said to him.

"But we don't have much of a choice. It's either we catch him and save lives or not act and let innocent life go." Kabir said to him.

"That's correct. So I hope you will make sure to work hard Soldier." Fury said to him.

"Sure, though there's one thing you forgot." Kabir said as he turned around.

"And what's that?" Fury asked him.

"It's Sergeant." Kabir said before walking away.

"Well, he's right about that." Hill said agreeing with him.

Fury just looked at her as she turned and looked at the screen monitoring Loki.

Time skip

"Kneel!" Loki shouted to the people running out of the Gala.

He then used his magic to create illusions of himself which surrounded the fleeing people. The people screamed in fear as they cowered from it.

"Kneel now!" Loki shouted at them.

The people slowly started to kneel as Loki relished the look on their faces and the feeling of power it gave him. After that he started to give a speech about how it is the people of Earth's privilege to be under his rule and how freedom is a lie. But then an old man stood up in front of him which gains their attention.

"Not to men like you." The old man said defiantly. (I love this guy. Shame it wasn't Stan, may you rest in Paradise.)

"There are no men like me." Loki said to him.

"There are always men like you." The old man said to him.

"Look to your elder people, let him be an example." Loki said before pointing his staff at the old man.

He shot a blast of energy at him but then Steve Rogers in his Captain America suit came and used his shield to deflect the blast back to the God. Loki got hit by it to which he crouched on the ground. Captain America stood up as Loki chuckled.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany, I saw a man standing above everybody else. We ended up disagreeing." Steve said to him with a glare.

"The soldier, the man out of time." Loki said with a smirk.

"I'm not the one who is out of time." Steve said as he looked at him.

The Quinjet hovered in the air being piloted by Natasha as she aimed it's guns at him. A few metres east to the crowd from Loki's direction Kabir appeared as he trained a machine gun at him.

He is wearing a black specialized military suit which covers his entire body except his head. He has an earpiece on his left ear.

Loki smiled before shooting at the Quinjet to which it dodged. Steve threw his shield which hit Loki and as the people started to run. Kabir put his gun behind his back before he put a knuckle buster on each of his hands and ran to the man.

Loki attacked the two of them at once. Steve punched Loki in the face as Kabir punched him in the gut. Loki tried to take down the two of them but the two double teamed him which was too overwhelming to the God.

"Enough!" Loki shouted as the two of them were sent back by an invisible force.

Kabir rolled on the ground and gained his footing while Steve got his shield. The two ran at him but Loki took his sceptre and tried to hit Kabir but he grabbed the shaft stopping the attack. Steve used this chance to hit Loki with the shield stunning him for a moment.

Kabir used this chance to hit Loki on his ribs and the snatched the staff as Steve kicked him in his stomach sending him back. Loki glared at them and then lifted the two in the air before throwing them backwards.

"This is heating up." Natasha said as she aimed at the God.

"Well it's about to get hotter. Agent Natasha, you miss me?" A voice said in the Quinjet as a song started to play to which Natasha smiled.

The three men looked confused as something akin to a shooting star is coming at their direction. But Kabir realises who it is and gets ready. And as he anticipated a beam shot Loki and sent him back. Then Iron Man landed and trained his repulsors on him with many other weapons appearing from under his armor. Kabir didn't waste time as he also took his machine gun and aimed at him.

"Make your move reindeer games." Iron man commanded to him as both he and Kabir aimed at him.

Loki looked at the two of them and then he disabled his suit and raised his arms in surrender.

"Good move." Iron man said as he stopped his armor.

Kabir also lowered his gun but didn't leave Loki's form as Steve also joined them.

"Mr. Stark." Steve greeted Iron man.

"Captain, Sergeant." Tony greeted the two of them.

The three then look at Loki.

After that they took him and are now inside the Quinjet as it is flying in the sky. The occupants are Natasha, Steve, Tony, Kabir, Loki and a SHIELD pilot.

"Did he say anything?" Fury asked Natasha through the radio.

"Nope, not a word." Natasha said to him.

"Bring him here. We are low on time." Fury said before cutting the connection.

Steve meanwhile looked at Loki who is sitting still not making any problems which worried him. A worry which is shared by Kabir as well. Unfortunately Tony doesn't seem to have that.

"I don't like this." Steve whispered to the two of them.

"What, Rock of ages give up so easily?" Tony said to him.

"He's right Stark, he could easily send the two of us flying with his magic. It's too illogical." Kabir said to the billionaire.

"There's no such thing as magic." Tony said to him.

To which Kabir and Steve shared a look and looked at Tony.

"Look, the point is, we got him, that's what matters. On another note, you seem pretty spry for an old guy. What's your thing, pilates?" Tony said to Steve.

"What?" Steve asked confused.

"It's called Calisthenics, you might've lost a couple of things while you were doing as a capsicle." Tony said to him.

'Well, that wasn't very nice.' Kabir thought to himself.

"Exercise, he's talking about exercise." Kabir said to which Steve has a face of understanding.

"Fury didn't say he was bringing you in." Steve said to him.

"He didn't?" Kabir said surprised.

"There's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you." Tony said to him.

That was when the weather changed as it became turbulent.

"Where is this coming from?" Natasha said confused when she realised there is a thunderstorm surrounding them.

The three look out the window while Loki became restless.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asked Loki.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki said to him.

Tony and Steve look at eachother confused while Kabir sighs with closed eyes when he realises what he is taking about. Suddenly a man lands on top of the ship surprising the occupants as it shakes a bit. Tony puts on his helmet and moves to the ramp as it opens.

The man lands on the ramp and though Tony tries to attack him the man hits him first throwing him back. He then grabbed Loki and flew away.

"Now there's that guy." Tony said as he stood up.

"I was kind of hoping it wasn't that." Kabir said with a sigh.

"Another Asgardian?" Natasha said to them.

"That guys a friendly?" Steve asked them.

"Doesn't matter if he's friendly or not. He frees Loki or kills him the Tesseract is lost." Tony said as he moved to the ramp.

"Tony, we need a plan." Steve said to him.

"I have a plan. Attack." Tony said before flying off the Quinjet.

Steve rolled his eyes before grabbing a parachute.

"I'd sit this one out Cap." Natasha said to him.

"I don't see how I can." Steve said to her as he strapped on the parachute.

"These guys come from legends, they're basically God's." Natasha said trying to reason with him.

"There's only one God man, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." Steve said before he jumped off.

Natasha sighed before turning to Kabir.

"Please tell me you're not going. You aren't even a super soldier." Natasha said to Kabir who is also strapping on a parachute.

"Sorry, can't stay here while Loki is out." Kabir said as he held a grenade launcher.

Kabir then jumped off the Quinjet with a smile as he went down.
