3. Four Out Of Seven

After Loki had decimated the SHIELD facility and stole the cube, Fury along with the other SHIELD agents started to gather the ones for the Avengers Initiative. In a Quinjet piloted by a SHIELD agent, Fury and Kabir were at the back as they were sitting strapped. Kabir is looking through a tablet while Fury looked through his phone.

"I have to say, I'm impressed by the amount of people you want to bring into this." Kabir said as he closed the tablet.

"Are you now?" Fury said as he looked at the soldier.

"Pretty much. Tony Stark, the billionaire, Captain America the hero of WW2, Thor, a Norse demigod, Two Master Assassin's and a man with anger issues. If I'm not impressed by this then I would be surprised." Kabir said to him.

"I am, that being said, I am surprised that you took the news about Thor quite nicely considering the fact that he is in essence a foreign God for you." Fury said to him.

"Ah, my religion, is that it." Kabir sais with a look of realisation.

"Yes well, you Hindu's are quite vocal about your God's so I will admit I was a bit concerned about showing you that info." Fury said to him.

"Heh, well I wouldn't say that you're wrong. Many Hindu's take our God's very seriously. But fortunately for you, I'm a pragmatic individual so I have no problems with it. On the contrary, I am actually eager to meet with this God." Kabir said to the director.

"Well, then this will go more smoothly than I imagined." Fury said to him.

Kabir chuckled before he opened the tablet and looked through it again as information regarding the mission is displayed on it as his eyes widened in interest.

The rest of the trip was silent as the Quinjet reached the Helicarrier which is currently landed on the water. The back opened as the two exited it. Kabir has a bag over his shoulder as he looked at the facility.

"Like it?" Fury asked the man.

"Quite." Kabir simply said to him.

"Good, then I am sure you will like the ones who are coming here." Fury said as he walked away.

Kabir walked behind him as he looked at all the people present and fighter jets stationed on the Helicarrier. Fury stopped when Natasha appeared in front of him causing Kabir to stop as well. Both soldier and assassin assessed the other the moment they saw them.

'Hm, she seems prepared. I have a feeling I should watch out for those wrist gadgets she has.' Kabir thought to himself.

'Hm, good physique and doesn't seem to be affected by the sun very much and doesn't show any signs of fatigue. An experienced soldier as well.' Natasha thought to herself.

"Are the two of you just gonna be staring at each other or are you going to greet?" Fury asked them as the both of them looked at him before at each other.

"Greetings, Kabir Dhaliwal, Indian soldier." Kabir introduced himself as he raised his right hand for a handshake.

"Natasha Romanoff, agent of SHIELD." Natasha introduced herself before she grabbed his hand.

They both shook their hands then let go.

"So, where are the others?" Kabir asked them.

"One is already here and the Captain is about to reach here." Natasha said to him.

"Oh really, then I guess I will wait here." Kabir said in response.

"Why?" Fury asked him even though he could guess the answer.

"It's not everyday you meet Captain America." Kabir said to him.

"Then I guess we are both waiting here." Natasha said to him.

"Well then I'll leave you to it." Fury said before he walked away from the two.

The two looked at eachother before looking at the personal surrounding them as they stayed silent.

"So, what made you join this?" Natasha asked him.

"Well let's just say that I like the Freedom I have and don't want an alien to take it away from me." Kabir said to her with a small smile.

"So someone who stands with the principles of your country?" Natasha said with a small smile.

"Yes." Kabir remarked with a smile of his own.

Then their attention was taken when he Quinjet was coming to their direction. Kabir looked at Natasha and she nodded to him before he looked back at the vehicle. It landed a few feet away from them as the two walked to it.

The back opened and out came Steve Rogers AKA Captain America and Agent Coulson of SHIELD. The two seemed to be talking before they noticed their presence.

"Agent Romanoff, Soldier Dhaliwal, Captain Rogers." Coulson introduced the three of them.

"Ma'am, Soldier." Steve greeted them with a smile.

"Hi, they need you on the bridge, they're starting the face-trace." Natasha greeted him before telling Coulson.

"See you there." Coulson said before walking away.

"Captain, it's an honor to meet you." Kabir said to him as he raised his hand for a handshake.

"The honor is mine. It's good to see soldier's like you in this age." Steve said with a smile.

"Well, someone has to defend their country and people." Kabir said with a smile.

"I appreciate it." Steve said to him.

"It was quite the buzz finding you in the ice." Natasha butted into the conversation as she stared to walk with the two following behind.

Then Bruce Banner came walking around confused at what is happening around him.

"Dr. Banner." Steve called him.

"Oh hey hi, they told me you would be coming." Bruce said to him as he walked to them.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Dr. Banner." Kabir said to him.

"Yes the pleasure is mine. You're, Kabir right?" Banner said to him.

"Yes." Kabir confirmed with a smile.

"Word is, you can the find the Cube." Steve said to him.

"Is that the only word on me?" Bruce asked with a concerned look.

"The only word I care about." Steve said to which Kabir nodded in agreement.

Bruce saw the nod and gave an appreciative look to him.

"This all must be strange to you." Bruce said to Steve.

"Well, this is actually kind of familiar." Steve said to him.

"Gentlemen, you might want to step inside in a minute, it's going to get hard to breathe." Natasha said to them.

The next second the sounds of the machines mechanics activating were heard to the side of the ship. The flight crew were running to their posts at the sound.

"Is this a submarine?" Steve asked her.

"Really? They want me in a submerged pressurized metal container?" Bruce commented after him.

"No too impractical, if this is also used as an aircraft carrier then making it into a submarine will only cause more problems. In that case..." Kabir said before he walked to the edge followed by the two men.

They looked at the place where water was starting to churn, then a giant turbine surfaces from the ocean, 4 turbines, 2 on each side started to rotate at high speeds. This caused Steve and Bruce to be taken aback while Kabir looked with interest.

"No, no, this is much worse." Bruce said when he saw it.

The other personal got ready as the Helicarrier started to rise up from the ocean. The group then went inside the ship to the command centre, and looked at all the SHIELD agents working at their computers taking care of the ships functions.

"Nice." Kabir said with a smile while Steve and Bruce looked in awe.

"SHIELD emergency protocol 193.6 in effect, we are at level sir." Agent Hill informed Fury as she looked at the newly gathered men.

"Good, let's vanish." Fury ordered her.

"Engage retro reflection panel." Hill ordered the flight crew.

Then the panels below the Helicarrier started to change as the panels started to glow blue and then they started to match the colour of the sky until the Helicarrier was camouflaged from below.

"Well, now that that's done, let's see our target shall we?" Fury said as he turned around to the assembled group.
