Number six

The world of Altania is a world consisting of three continents: the land of humans, the land of the Oris, and the Island of Ancestors. The latter is a giant island located exactly between the two continents (the land of humans and the land of the Oris), serving as a connection between them.

The island is covered with mountains, rivers, and forests, and although it is called an island, it could easily be considered a third continent due to its size.

The Oris and other related races call it the Island of Ancestors, believing that the spirits of their ancestors reside in the giant cedar tree, which is also the key to revealing the hidden tomb of the founding kings. On the other hand, humans refer to it as the Island of the Black Wall, as a reference to the black mountain at its border.

Given its vastness, the island contains a huge amount of natural resources, including herbs and minerals, as well as hidden ruins, which is why humans have always desired it.

When beliefs clash with desires, there is no escape from conflict. Conflicts lead to wars, and wars lead to hatred, and thus the cycle of war continues for control over the island. Neither the beliefs of the Oris nor the desires of humans come to an end.

However, amidst all this chaos, there is a mystery that has not been revealed. In every war that has erupted, the Oris have always had the upper hand, but they have always been the first to seek a truce, even offering significant concessions despite being the winning party.

Humans, on the other hand, do not pass up such an opportunity, and they neverlearn their lesson; they make peace only to betray later.

But for the first time in decades, the tables have turned, and humans have managed to win and occupy the entire island. However, they did not show the mercy that the Oris had shown to them in the past.

They left their monster, the Lord of Poisons, to roam the earth wreaking havoc and destruction, killing everything in its path, including children and the elderly who were not spared from its madness. The creature killed for the sake of pleasure only.

In the end, the magic turned against the wizard, and the monster that humans created turned against its masters, forcing them to taste the bitterness of the poisonous mist they once glorified.

After the arena was cleared, the Lord of Poisons, a title befitting someone who leaves only corpses and destruction in their wake, crowned itself king of the Island of Ancestors.

"Days passed, neither humans forgot the betrayal of the butcher who took the island from them, nor the Oris forgot their victims. Amidst this number of enemies, the new king decided to create his own group of assassins, as the best way to defend is to attack.

He gathered the strongest orphans around him, trained them himself, and through his past experiences with humans, he managed to enhance their abilities. He formed a group of six young men who became his eyes to spy and his arms to strike his opponents and anyone who intended to stand in his way.

Despite their exceptional skills, these young men were not the strongest in the world of Altania, but they made a name for themselves by focusing on sneaking into enemy territory and causing disorder and treacherous killings, whether by poison or slaughtering others while their sleep. In short, they were the most skilled in dirty work.

Among the six was a hybrid - half Oris, half human. He was born with an enviable body and underwent all kinds of surgeries to enhance his physique. He executed every task asked of him, so he and his master, the plague, were considered two faces of one coin. His name was number 6."

"At the western port of the island, a young man in his twenties with pointed ears stood wearing black clothes, staring at the passengers disembarking from the ship that had just arrived. As soon as he caught a glimpse of who he was looking for, he shouted, "Little one, over here!"

A young man with slightly red skin and black hair answered his call, waving his hand. As soon as he stepped foot on the ground of the port, he disappeared and reappeared standing in front of him with a smile on his face.

"My dear second brother, you came to receive me yourself," he said. The young man with pointed ears shot him a cold look and said, "number 6, stop your nonsense and walk in front of me. I'm here to make sure you arrived at the headquarters on time. Also, don't mention the word 'brother' again."

The young man with red skin pouted his lower lip like a child expressing his sadness and walked slowly, muttering, "And I thought you missed me and came to receive me. You are such a villain. Why do you refuse to be a family? Doesn't it bother you to be called by numbers?"

Number 6 didn't finish his words before he felt a killing intent behind him. Before he could even turn around, a sword had pierced his back. After that, he heard a mocking laughter in his ear.

"All these years, I've been wondering if you're stupid or pretending to be stupid. You call me 'brother,' bring me gifts, and ask for advice. No matter how much I warn you or insult you, you're like glue, always sticking to me."

A red line came out of the young man's mouth as he said weakly, "It was the only way..." Before he could explain himself, his eyes widened as he saw the body that stabbed him transform into a black shadow before disappearing.

"It was an illusion, but it's impossible when did it affect me?" he felt a sharp pain in his back, then heard a whisper in his ear."

"Gifts are the only way to keep you under my illusion. They all contain hidden magical circles. I mean, look at the moment you stabbed me when I let my guard down. With my gift !!, at least, you could have chosen a different sword."

Number 6 completed his sentence and pushed his knife to plunge into his back. As soon as the young man felt the dagger cut through his flesh, he used a technique to harden his body, stopping the dagger from reaching his spinal cord. He jumped away, cursing and swearing.

"You cursed person! You've been using your magic on me this whole time. I know all your tricks. Your legendary missions and killing of the leaders of the Oris are all nonsense. They're all alive. You betrayed us, and you betrayed our leader."

"Betrayal? That word has no meaning among us. We're a group of assassins created to protect our insane butcher leader. Betrayal is relative. when I told number 1 that his lover was killed by number 3 , he thanked me, while number 3 called me a traitor."

While number 6 was talking, the young man with pointed ears smiled slyly and said, " you planned to kill number 3 too. Your intuition never fails me. But, do you know what your flaw is? You really love hearing yourself taking nonsense. Thank you for giving me the time to recover and gather my strength."

Number 2 released a maniacal aura, enough to intimidate any opponent, but number six's expression didn't change, and he didn't even blink.

" you Have recovered so quickly? And here I was hoping to prolong our conversation since I won't be seeing you anymore. Please give my regards to the Third brother."

Number two's body had completely turned bronze, and a mocking expression had taken over his face. "Do you think you have a chance against me, or will your poisoned dagger affect..." Before he could finish his sentence, his vision became hazy, and he felt weakness in his knees. His eyes widened in disbelief at what was happening to his body.

"Poison," the number six's voice came, explaining. "It's the impurities accumulated in your body over the years. As you can see, the magical circles are not the only thing in the sword. The sword's grip also contains a venom that prevented your body from getting rid of the impurities of the energy pills you constantly take."

In front of his eyes, he saw the dagger that had previously stabbed him, and number 6 continued to explain, "This dagger doesn't contain poison, but an antidote to the poison in your body that will work to release all the impurities at once. Oh, the irony. The most toxin-resistant body will die from an antidote."

Number two's eyes stared with hatred at his killer, wondering how long he had been planning to kill him, how long he had been poisoning him. His killer answered, knowing exactly what he was thinking.

"Don't look at me like that. The venom in the sword's handle wasn't going to kill you, nor was it going to hinder your training. I was just taking precautions. I know well that the leader didn't send you. You volunteered for this, so bear the consequences."

The light in number two's eyes went out, and his breath began to fade. He knew for sure that these were his last breaths, but he remained smiling. "It doesn't matter. I'll wait for you in hell, cursed little one. That's our fate in the end."

"Yes, that's right. Wait for me a little longer. I know you don't like company with number 3, so I won't keep you waiting long for the rest." At that moment, black shadows arrived and surrounded the place.
