A light appeared, blindingly bright and unbearably hot!
The star core, once stable, began to churn violently. Energy poured from the star ring in waves, growing more intense as the core spun faster and faster.
Then, under Caesar's command, with all his might:
It shattered everything in its path, obliterating all that stood before it!
The once-fixed star ring became dangerously unstable, no longer able to contain the overwhelming force within. The searing, brilliant light cut through space like a molten blade through butter, slicing apart everything it touched.
Dwarf Eitri stood frozen, eyes wide, as he witnessed the chaos unfold. The star core raged uncontrollably, its energy flooding out, and the star ring crumbled into fragments. His face twitched with unease, but he dared not speak a word.
The sheer, terrifying power on display left him utterly speechless.
With the star ring shattered, the light no longer had boundaries—it surged outward in an almost infinite expansion.
Caesar, straining to control the immense power, guided the beam of light. Then, with a forceful motion!
The golden monkey rose, wielding its massive staff, splitting the sky in half and smashing through the enemy ranks.
The unstoppable light, under Caesar's guidance, descended from above.
It tore through a distant star, igniting it like a firework in the cosmic expanse.
It streaked past Thanos' ship, leaving a glowing trail as it carved through the steel hull.
Then, in a single sweep, it sliced Thanos' army clean in two.
Where the light had passed, a scorching vacuum remained, filled only with charred ash, like a deep trench dividing the battlefield.
The once-formidable forces of the Dark Quadrant faltered, unable to regroup for a counterattack.
But Caesar's light didn't stop there.
With precise control, he swung it from side to side, wielding it like an iron rod smashing ants.
Wherever the light touched, Thanos' elite troops were vaporized in an instant.
Reduced to nothing but ashes.
Whether they were fierce vanguards, massive Leviathans, fighter warships, or the cybernetic Chitauri, they all met the same fate. Under the crushing weight of this light, they were insignificant, too weak to withstand its power.
The beam swept across the battlefield, leaving Thanos' army in ruin.
Yet, amidst the devastation, one figure remained standing—unmoved by the relentless onslaught.
A rock in the storm.
Thanos stood firm, watching as the light tore through everything around him.
Shielding the four Black Order generals behind him, he braced himself, relying on the unyielding strength of the Titan lineage to withstand Caesar's devastating attack.
The heat was unbearable.
The pain, excruciating.
But Thanos didn't retreat, didn't yield an inch.
The majestic, once-golden armor of Thanos darkened into a molten red hue, dripping off his body like liquid metal.
In the intensifying heat, the armor evaporated before even touching the ground.
Thanos' skin turned a deep crimson, charring and cracking before crumbling into ashes. Yet, his incredibly resilient muscles still fought against the ravaging light.
Even though Thanos absorbed most of the ray's devastating energy, what remained was more than enough to bring the Black Order to their knees.
Corvus Glaive's sword glowed red-hot, his body barely holding together, constantly torn apart and regenerating.
For Corvus, the destruction of flesh was bearable. But if his sword—the vessel of his soul—melted, there would be no return for him.
Ebony Maw, a master of telekinesis, used his powers to form a heat-resistant barrier around himself, pushing back the deadly energy. Yet, despite his efforts, blisters still formed on his skin. He couldn't hold off the heat entirely.
Black Dwarf, with his near-indestructible skin and raw power, withstood much of the energy that Thanos had absorbed. Though his skin was cracked and his body burned red, he was still alive.
Only Proxima Midnight remained.
As the only female general of the Black Order and Corvus Glaive's lover, she was a formidable warrior. She wielded a spear crafted by Thanos himself, a weapon of extraordinary power.
Thanos, though known for his immense strength, was also a master of wisdom and craftsmanship, rivaling even the universe's greatest smiths. His skills, however, were not quite on par with the legendary dwarves.
Proxima Midnight had felled countless enemies with her spear, but in the face of this blinding, all-consuming energy, even her might and weapon seemed insignificant.
Clutching the spear, she refused to let go despite the unbearable heat. The weapon burned red-hot, her hands seared by its heat, the scent of her scorched flesh filling the air. But still, she held on, her gaze fixed on Thanos with adoration, her body reduced to smoldering muscles.
She glanced at Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf, both struggling under the immense power. Then, with a final look, she turned to Corvus Glaive, her lover, with a plea and a resolve.
Thanos, despite his suffering, couldn't afford to be distracted by the dire fates of his generals.
Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf caught Proxima's glance, nodding in acknowledgment, though the effort was almost too much. Corvus Glaive met her gaze, then slowly bowed his head, his expression set in grim determination.
Proxima Midnight smiled—a soft, relieved smile.
But that smile was her final act. Her skin suddenly burst, turning to ash before it could even touch the ground. Her hair ignited, vanishing in the searing heat. Her body followed, each layer of flesh cracking open, spilling droplets of blood that evaporated before hitting the ground.
Her muscles blackened, carbonizing and disintegrating. Soon, even her bones and teeth—her body's hardest parts—crumbled into dust. All that remained beneath her now-melting spear was a small pile of charred remains.
Corvus Glaive didn't lift his head. There was no light left in his scorched black eyes, but a terrifying power seemed to smolder within him.
Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf exchanged a final glance, then smiled grimly at Thanos before resigning to their fate. The power of a thousand stars was immense, but it couldn't burn forever. The heat began to lessen, and the once rapidly rotating core of the star attack was slowing.
Watching the devastation, Caesar sighed. Thanos looked truly shaken. If not for the army absorbing some of the star's energy, the Thousand Star Strike would have left Thanos in an even more critical state.
Caesar never expected the energy of a thousand stars to kill Thanos. Sometimes, even a thousand stars aren't enough. His current strength limited how much star power he could channel and control at once.
However, the army of the dark quadrant was obliterated, and Thanos was gravely injured. Caesar's Angel Corps were waiting for the right moment to strike, poised to take down Thanos' remaining forces. Victory was within reach.
As the energy of the Thousand Star Strike continued to fade, Corvus Glaive's sword cooled slightly, though it still glowed red. His body, once torn and ravaged, was slowly starting to heal. Corvus lifted his head, locking eyes with Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf, who looked back at him, resolve burning in their gazes.
The final battle for the Black Order had begun.
