The seven students looked at Lynn with puzzled expressions.
They still didn't understand how Lynn had caused them all to dream of an exam. They had been classmates for many years, and everyone knew that Lynn had no super abilities apart from being a good student.
Could it be Charles?
With this thought in mind, Colossus, who was honest and familiar with Lynn, nodded without hesitation: "Since it's a task assigned by the professor, I will go!"
Bobby glanced at Rogue in the crowd and asked, "How long will this mission take?"
Lynn smiled slightly. He was quite interested in Iceman Bobby, after all, he's an Omega-level mutant with impressive performances in the movies. But he didn't care much for Rogue.
Despite being rescued and brought to Xavier's School, she hadn't shown any desire to study hard or control her abilities.
Sure enough, during the dream test last night, Rogue was the first to be eliminated.
Perhaps, in the future, she might become a qualified X-Men, but for now, Lynn saw her as nothing more than a pretty face.
This thought crossed his mind, and Lynn said honestly, "It's not a dangerous task. If you want to come back, you can request leave at any time, but keep it secret."
"Then I'll go!" Iceman immediately breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.
Seeing both Colossus and Iceman agree, "Sunspot" Roberto also shrugged: "If that's the case, count me in as well!"
Storm tensed up.
Lynn then looked at Kevin the 'shapeshifter'.
Kevin's ability to shapeshift, similar to Mystique, can play a valuable role in many cases. Not to mention, Kevin had a certain degree of telepathy. It was these two abilities which had helped him pass the dream test. Lynn had high hopes for him.
But unfortunately...
Kevin was standing next to 'Pyro' John.
Not only him, but also the mimics Carl, Lucas Bishop, and Petra were all part of this small group.
It was them just now, who had been discussing their abilities on the other side of the playground.
Birds of a feather flock together.
John was popular among the students, and other outstanding students naturally gravitated towards him. This was a typical Brotherhood culture found on college campuses, even at the Mutant Academy.
"Sorry, if this task is not mandatory, I'm not interested!"
Sure enough, 'shapeshifting' Kevin refused without the slightest hesitation.
Carl and Petra looked at each other and also shook their heads in refusal.
Lucas Bishop seemed tempted, but after glancing at 'Pyro' John in the crowd, he remained silent and did not respond.
"OK!"
Lynn was not upset. He turned to Iceman, Colossus, and Roberto: "You have half an hour. After that, gather at the academy gate."
He then turned and left, followed by Kitty and Jubilee.
"Is this the end?" Storm was frozen in place.
Lynn had changed dramatically from before. He was no longer low-key; he was sharp, decisive, and commanding.
In a way, it was somewhat reminiscent of another person...
Magneto!
"Charles, do you even know what you're doing?!"
Storm had too many questions in her head, she intended to disperse the students first before seeking answers from Professor X.
But at that moment, John suddenly shouted angrily, "Ms. Ororo, this selection is unfair!"
Storm turned her head in surprise: "What's unfair about it?"
"Why didn't I dream last night and take part in the assessment?"
Pyro stood up, glaring at Lynn, it's obvious he had been holding back before. "If even Bobby can get a B evaluation, I could easily get an A. Why wasn't I selected?!"
He didn't actually want to join the mission. He was just upset about being overlooked.
"You..." Iceman paled and was about to speak, but Lynn stopped him in his tracks.
"I told you just now, don't waste my time... Don't you understand such obvious words?"
Lynn turned his calm gaze to John. "You weren't in the selection criteria at all in last night's dream test. Where did you get the idea you'd get an A?"
"You!!!!" Pyro John's face flushed with anger.
He understood that he wasn't excluded by mistake, but because Lynn didn't even consider him.
In front of everyone, this was a blatant humiliation!
Infuriated, John pulled out a lighter and threatened, "Dare to underestimate me, I'll make you pay the price!!!"
With a flick, the lighter ignited, and John, with a wave of his hand, sent a raging flame towards Lynn.
Everyone was startled!
"John, you're crazy..." Storm shouted, subconsciously wanting to summon a gust of wind.
But before she could react, there was a sound of fingers snapping. Immediately after, a force field appeared out of thin air, pushing her and the other students flying backwards a hundred meters in an instant.
"What is this..." Storm trembled, looking at Lynn.
Sure enough, Lynn was the only one left in place, aside from John and his group.
Facing the terrifying swarm of flames, the corners of his mouth raised slightly, revealing an undisguised mocking smile.
"You don't know anything about fire."
