"You want us to watch it!? I don't think I've ever heard you say something so stupid before." Exclaimed Pharaoh with widened eyes as he, Gwen, and Jean eyed Peter with a dumbfounded expression.
"Yeah, why would we watch it? I still want to destroy it; you'd better have a good reason to watch it, Pete." Said Jean with furrowed brows as she floated the VHS to Peter and tapped it against his head a few times, prompting him to snatch it out of the air.
"Well, I've got two reasons why I think we should watch it; one is because I still think the VHS is fake and doesn't hold any supernatural powers. Two, aren't you three interested in watching it?" Remarked Peter seriously as he stood up and approached the entertainment center with a VHS player sitting to the left.
"I mean, maybe we're interested, but I don't think I'm interested enough to possibly wager my life." Said Gwen with a frown as she watched Peter, who had already put the VHS into the VHS player.
"I'm somewhat interested, but I still think destroying it is the better option." Stated Jean with a nod while Peter returned to the couch, grabbing the controller from the coffee table and changing the TV's inputs.
"So, am I the only one here who isn't interested at all or what?" Asked Pharaoh as he glanced at the three sitting to his left.
"C'mon, Tut, this VHS is probably just a prop the movie used; besides, it's Halloween night; shouldn't we be a little daring?" Said Peter with a faint smirk as he glanced at Tut before looking at Jean and Gwen.
"Eh, I mean, I guess, but we're destroying the VHS afterward." Remarked Jean lightly with a nod as she folded her arms and leaned back, getting comfortable while preparing to watch the VHS.
"You've already put the VHS into the player; we might as well watch it now." Said Gwen with a shake of her head as she snuggled under the blanket and rested her head on Jean's shoulder while Peter pressed play.
I was so astonished by how easily those two were persuaded that I honestly thought they were fucking with me at first, though when Pete pressed play, I realized they were for real. Speedily moving through the room, I stood up and snatched the TV remote out of Pete's hand, pausing the video before anything had actually started to play yet.
"So, y'all being fucking for real right now or what? 'Cause there ain't no way y'all actually want to watch something that could possibly kill us all in seven days?" Questioned Tut as he glanced between Peter, Gwen, and Jean like they were crazy, hoping his words would spark some sense into them, though it never came.
"Yeah. Just like Pete said, it's probably fake, so it's no big deal. Eh, I'm a little interested." Said Peter, Gwen, and Jean, respectively, as they turned and looked at Tut, who had, to them, practically teleported from how fast he was moving.
"Y'all, fucking crazy; I'm friends with a bunch of crazy people, and I'm going to die because of it." Said Tut in disbelief as he eyed the three before turning around and looking up at the dark sky through the ceiling.
"First off, we're not crazy; we're being a little risky at most. Secondly, you're not going to die, Tut; if you really feel that way, just don't watch it; it's not like we're forcing you; we couldn't even if we wanted to." Remarked Peter as he looked at Tut before standing up and grabbing the remote out of his hand; Gwen and Jean just silently watched while eating candies and snacks.
"Tsk, if you guys are watching it, that means I've got to watch it; we're friends, so if we're going down, we're going down together. Besides, I ain't a bitch, and I damn sure ain't scared of some little girl; if she dares to hop out the tv screen, I'll knock her into next week." Declared Tut in annoyance, clicking his tongue as he returned to his seat on the couch, folding his arms and grumbling under his breath while eyeing the paused TV.
"Hmph, just know if I ever decide to do something stupid in the future, you three are now obligated to assist me." Added Tut while huffing in frustration as he glanced at the three before ignoring them, causing them to nod dismissively.
With the room becoming silent once more, Peter pressed the play button, prompting the TV to start showing the same images from the movie with an ever-present static noise, which only made this entire thing even freakier. Eventually, the TV came to the part with the well, yet when it did, I was taken aback as I looked at that oddly familiar well, which, for some reason, wasn't the same one from the movie.
"See, you're getting scared for nothing, Tut; that wasn't the same well from the movie. It's not even a prop for the movie; it's probably just one of many VHS they messed around with before deciding it wasn't good enough." Stated Peter with a slight smirk as he stood up and ejected the VHS from the player before tossing it over to Tut, whose eyes were wide in shock.
"Heh, don't tell me the big, bad, superpowered Pharaoh was scared from a mere well. Is that your weakness? Wells?" Questioned Gwen with a mocking grin as she leaned over Jean and eyed Pharaoh while slightly chuckling.
"Nah, be for real; y'all playing a joke, right? You three have been communicating with your thoughts through a mind link Jean made or something." Said Tut with a deep frown as he glanced at Gwen before ignoring her and eyeing Jean, who just tilted her head in confusion.
"Eh, no, but that's a wonderful idea! I should've thought of that much sooner; thanks, Tut!" Remarked Jean with a shake of her head before her eyes widened in surprise as she began formulating several pranks on Tut.
"So, this wasn't a prank or anything? Is that what I'm getting right now?" Asked Pharaoh as he looked between Gwen and Peter, who both shook their heads.
"As funny as it would be, I didn't even know that VHS existed until 15 minutes ago. Nope." Replied Gwen and Peter, respectively, as they both denied any involvement, causing Pharaoh to nod before suddenly standing up.
While holding the VHS in hand, I walked towards the sliding glass door that led to the backyard; opening it, I exited the house and tossed the VHS on the ground.
"Hmm, Tut, what are you doing?" Asked Jean in slight confusion as she, Gwen, and Peter all stood up and followed after Tut into the backyard, just in time to see his eyes take on a reddish glow.
"You know that well we all saw at the end of the video?" Replied Tut as he glanced at the three, who all kept their distance when they saw the glow in Tut's eyes deepen, knowing what was about to come.
"Y-Yeah, we all saw it, Tut; don't tell me you really have a weakness for wells?" Said Gwen hesitantly as she and Peter hid behind Jean, who had erected a telekinetic barrier to protect them from what was about to come.
"No, but that well we saw, it was the same exact one at my Dad's farm." Declared Tut seriously, and before anyone could respond, his eyes released a deadly beam of concentrated plasma that was as hot as the sun's surface, burning the ground where the VHS was.
"Is it just me, or does his heat vision, as he calls it, seem much more dangerous than what he previously showed us?" Asked Peter curiously while standing behind Jean, the three watching as Tut destroyed the VHS.
"Alright, I think you're good, Tut; I don't think the VHS could possibly survive that." Said Jean lightly, her words prompting Tut to reign in his heat vision as the beam of concentrated plasma stopped emitting from his eyes.
Looking at the several-foot-deep hole I made, which now consisted of molten earth, I sighed in relief when I spotted no VHS before looking up and glaring at my 'friends'.
"I'm so done with you guys." Remarked Tut aggressively as he blew on at the molten hole, emitting a freezing cold breath that cooled the lava and caused the three to shiver.
"So, um, about that well at the end of the video being the on at your Dad's Farm?" Asked Peter lightly as he, Jean, and Gween hugged each other while shivering in cold, frost forming on the tips of their hair, though all he got was a silent glare from Tut.

After last night's little escapade, we returned to watching normal things before eventually drifting to sleep on the couch, which, despite rarely sleeping, I did join them.
'Now that I think about it, ever since Sara and I started dating, I've been sleeping much more than usual.' Thought Pharaoh lightly as he opened the fridge and grabbed a Sprite from the fridge, only to glance at Peter, who entered the kitchen.
"Tsk, had a nice nap, Pete? You're only going to get six more of those." Asked Tut with an annoyed expression as he eyed Peter, who looked to have just woken up.
"Ahh, you're worrying too much, Tut, it's gotta be just a coinc-" Replied Peter with a yawn as he leaned against the island while looking at Tut, though Gwen suddenly shrieked in fear before he could finish.

See, this is exactly why you never see black people in horror movies, cause we'd never fuck with supernatural things out of own accord; we've already got enough on our plate, we're not trying to add some weird supernatural little girl coming to kill us after seven days.
(Also, if you don't give me power stones, I'm sending the tape to your house 😊)
