Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. Pulling The Trigger

Leon had been sitting in front of a muscular old man who had too much facial hair. On his left ear was an earring, signalling that he wasn't the good businessman his reputation had known him to be. Beside him were two more people and two guards standing. They all one after the other glared at Leon who sat across from them with a serious expression on his face.

He had told them to start the meeting but this man, Mr Jones had refused.

"And where the hell is your boss, young man?" His voice was oddly hoarse, which could have drawn others' attention if at all they were present here.

Leon was trying to stay calm but he failed woefully, "Mr Jones, this is a meeting room and we expect-"

Mr Jones cleared his throat, even without frowning, he had a frowning face, "As long as I can remember, the last time one of my workers was to have an appointment with your boss, he came an hour late-"

"The location was-"

He glared again, trying to tell Leon that he hated being interrupted, "However, it turned out that the documents we awaited were not complete. And now that I am here, he plans to spend an hour again?"

"Mr Jones, you need to understand that-"

"If this thing fails, Mr Chan, it won't affect only my company but yours too but he acts like it is not a big deal after all."

Leon breathed for quiet to remain in his mind and then he stood up, planning to meet his boss because he had ignored his call and messages. "If you would excuse me, Mr Jones."

"And that is how it has always been," he uttered as Leon walked out of the meeting room. When he got to the entrance, he saw the two guards standing and he gave them signals as an order and they nodded at the same time, understanding what they were told.

"Don't tell me he is trying to let me handle them alone?" He told himself as he hurriedly took a lift, going to the topmost floor.

Eva, after hearing her boss' cold remark gulped in fear, her hand which he held tightly on the gun and towards the side of his head began shaking. Was this man crazy?

He didn't let her assimilate the shock of realising that he was her boss in the first place and here he was, telling her that the only way for her to survive was by pulling the trigger. Did he mean it or was he trying to scare her as a result? Did he honestly think she was too timid to do so?

"Mr Saverio, my apologies. I think everything is just a misunderstanding."

His hand still didn't leave her, Eva swallowed as his gaze landed on her again, his dark blue eyes met her ocean-blue ones. And for a moment, Eva couldn't tell if she actually had seen a green demon right in the ball of his eyes or if she was only hallucinating with the help of the fear in her already.

Eva never knew that there could be someone who would have some other colour other than black and brown like she and her brother. Well, blue eyes weren't something special after all. However, Eva knew that whatever she was thinking right now was very wrong to think as of this moment.

She was only trying to caution herself and at the same time, avoid making a blatant mistake like pulling the trigger and ending up in jail. Due to this man's status in the country, if she killed him, then she could have it in mind that she was going to spend her eternity in jail. Not only would it affect only she, her brothers and her mother were equally doomed.

He pulled her from her reverie as he said, "Are you going back on your words?" His words held hidden meaning as they were brought forth from his mouth.

And she knew what they meant. Before he could add to his threatening words, he held her hand tighter to avoid her dropping the gun, then he walked backwards while Eva was forced to walk forward, and he stopped. "I have moved further, fire if you are fit to!" He shouted.

Eva's eyes opened wide before she blinked twice.

Why was he suddenly agitated? Had he suddenly developed insanity?

What did he mean by firing him?

A smile crept on his face and he dropped his hand from her finger.

And with his motion, Eva could tell that he wasn't annoyed anymore. He seemed to mean his action by his words, "Write me a letter and let it entail your reason for going into my office with no permission else you would end up-" Before he could finish his words and unknown to Eva who had never wielded a gun, she pulled the trigger of the revolver and a loud shooting sound boomed in her office, followed by a groan.

Seeing whatever that had happened, the gun dropped from her.
