Chapter 10: Hero’s Chronicle, Ithacan Academy for Nobles (Part One)

It had been a few months since the Ithacan Academy for Nobles had started. School life as been more or so peaceful. The academy more or less is for the future leaders to get to know each other. Which is why the young nobles here are brought from their homes to live in dorms here on the campus.

Which is why the academy doesn't focus on magic but more on social-status.

This may be the reason why the country was taken over so quickly because the country took magic uses so lightly.

Glass was already the belle of society with her looks, and she inherits genius. As a Duke's daughter, she should be respected as such. In the end, her and third prince Jared where put into the student council.

Jared became the President due to his rank despite him having lower grades than Glass and the rest of the council. Glass was picked to be vice president and Henry is the Treasurer there are two others' in the council as well. Anders', the chief knight's son and Silvester Springfire, the pope's son.

The three of them didn't work at all and left all the paperwork to be handled by Glass and Henry.

For the entirety of these past few months not once did they see these prompts brats work. It didn't turn out all bad in the End as reputation among the school was extremely high. Since Jared didn't care.

She was eventually the face and pride of the school an exemplary leader and model student who worked extremely hard.

The student council room was clean and elegant. As the desk's made a U-shape, however, it was deprived of all but two people who were working diligently on the paperwork there.

"Yuri's training in becoming a noble has been going well….Do you know why she has decided to do this?" Henry said. "Does she intend to enroll here."

"Yes"

"Why?"

"…."

"The neutral support you a lot it seems" Henry changed the topic quickly

She paused for a moment "Get to the point, Randall."

"Do you plan to take the throneconcerned"

"Of course, not," Glass said with no hesitation. "I'm aware of the neutral factions' goals, however…"

Bang, the council door opens, and Jared rude face appears with his two lackeys.

"What are you guys doing aren't you supposed to be working," Jared said talking like he was in the right.

"President, we could use your help, and it."

"What do I look like doing your work for you" he barked at Henry

Glass signed "Some of this paperwork needs to be done by the president, your highness."

"You can do it, Afterall what else is the vice president supposed to do" he then yelled at Glass before turning around in a huff

"President, about tomorrow's event"

"You take care of it and make me look good," he said before walking out with his lackeys.

"Brats!" Henry said while trying to hold back his anger.

"Doesn't matter, let's try to at least finish before the sun goes down." Glass secretly took a pair of Glass out of her inventory and put them on her face. She had three stacks of paper and an event tomorrow she couldn't go looking sleep deprived.

An hour later she got back to her dorm, it was already dark when she fitted into her nightgown.

'Genbu had only suppressed it [Death's Door]. But eventually, this body will die by it' Glass thought as she lay in bed before zoning off into sleep.

The event that was supposed to take place was a social ball provided by the students for the students.

Henry stood next to Glass in a glare at Jared who is giving a speech. He was rather angry with a man who was supposed to be his younger brother. Glass took a look around she gazed at the students and noted that nearly all of them do not like this prince but must respect him for his rank.

Once his speech was it was time to mingle. A stock load of girls rushed up to Glass to sing praises.

"Miss Hall, where did you get your dress from?"

"Miss Hall, tell me what I have to do to get my hair to be as radiant as yours?"

"Miss Hall, how do you get your skin to be so pure."

"Miss Hall…."

"Miss Hal…."

"Miss Hall…." The girls kept continuing on.

"Miss Hall, you're so beautiful it is unfortunate that I am a woman. If I where a man I'd surely try so swoon you."

"….."

"….."

"….."

Many of the girls stopped talking as they looked at the embarrassed girl who had just spoken.

"That's not fair, I had the same opinion" One of them spoke. Jared and his lackeys where in their little world, so they didn't hear this commotion going between the girls. Glass stood in the middle with an expressionless face.

Glass sat on a chair as she gazed at the servants who were cleaning up the ball room. She had sent the young nobles home early for classes tomorrow.

'To be, or not to be—that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer. The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles. And by opposing end them.'

Glass quoted from Shakespeare.

[Three years Later]

Glass stood before a podium in replacement of Jared who didn't feel like welcoming the new incoming students, the row of chairs behind the podium had the remaining members of the student council.

'Mayuri and Breton' She gazes at all the people she knows. See takes a second look at Mayuri whose blossomed the most. 'Ah, it is my last year here.'

Glass lays in her bed once again exhausted from the number of greetings she had to make toward the new student and drifts off to sleep. She half woke up an aroma in her room making.

Someone was in her room, but whoever this person was didn't attack nor felt hostile. After a while, the person quietly left.

"Mayuri" Glass whispered before going back to sleep.

Glass was always the first to arrive in the student council office — new members where being picked off after yesterdays ceremony. Breton had entered the student council as well their relationship has changed these past few years.

Her little brother had disappointed her utterly a lot when he went back to his old ways and started abusing the maids again. Since she started ignoring him and now he has only become solemn and respectful when addressing his older sister. Although now he is not doing such unpleasant things, something broken cant be easily repaired.

Glass wasn't worried about Breton since he seems to be getting along fine, Mayuri was the one she was most worried about. Her actions as of late this past few years seemed to be along the lines of the neutral faction. Its not just Mayuri Jeb to he is also looking forward to seeing Glass on the throne.

Since East trade company became huge fast and was still expanding all over the Blur province. Many nobles and merchant, of course, went to investigate their success but came up empty. However, some had some ideas and went to Hall estate where he was formerly employed. Where they meet Glass and latter on formed the neutral faction in support of her reign. It is the neutral faction's secret goal to overthrow the ruling family who has become obsolete and put Glass on the throne. For some reason it is their strong belief that Glass will lead the country to a greater future, how they got this from one meeting it still a whole mystery.

However, Glass herself is not looking to take on such a troublesome title.
