Chapter 6: Going Berserk

"It's you , Onyx! what are you doing here" I asked in shock.

"You fool , I was looking for you " he replied hugging me

" I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't find you" he continued releasing me from his grip.

"I'm fine, i just have a few scratches" I replied

" I don't know what I would have done if anything happened to you, I would have lost my sister" Onyx said again.

" Don't worry I'm fine and you still have olivia"

I answered jokingly.

" ohhhhhh yeah" he answered.

" So let's get out of here" I said dragging him towards the exit.

" Sorry but I can't go with you, I have to help stop this Looming war ,stay safe. And don't even think of coming into the place to join the fight" he said and left.

I got out and ran to safety,I saw people leaving through the palace gates,so I decided to approach the gate . Before I got to the palace gates it was ambushed by more mercenary.

Although Onyx told me to stay safe,I couldn't watch the innocent people get hurt. I looked around for any potential weapon I can use but I couldn't find any. Then I remembered the swords and blades I took from the mercenary earlier. I quietly approached the gates and hid behind a welcome poster. I got a nice view of a mercenary and I threw one of the four blades with me to hit him on the shoulder"and he fell down writhing in pain.

Immediately the guy fell down the others became alert. Then one tall guy in a mask, I think their leader directed them to spread out.

Some guys came towards me, I quietly dropped all what I was carrying and crept towards their side. I remembered one method of2 putting someone out that onyx taught me.

I stood up behind one of the guy and located

the spot on his neck and hit him there with my hands . The guy slowly fell down and I dragged him to the back of a big tree.

I took out three other guys and then I moved closer to the gate , I looked around and ran towards the gates. Some people were tied with ropes by the gate. I loosened the ropes and set the people free; as I was about to leave,I felt someone cover my mouth and dragged me towards the walls.

I looked up to see that it was the leader of the mercenaries that ambushed the gates.

I struggled to get out of his hold but he had a strong grip, I couldn't use anything to fight him off because I left my weapons behind the tree that I kept the other guys.

I looked around for an escape route but there was none, then it hit me .

I stopped struggling,the guy thinking I had succumbed to my fate loosened his grip. Immediately he did that I kicked him in the middle of his thighs and he fell down groaning. I smiled thinking that I've won myself an escape but by the time I turned around I was surrounded. I looked around in shock there was no way I could escape from thier circle. Before I could react I saw the guys in blue approach us .I rejoiced knowing fully well that it was Onyx and the others, but for some reason I didn't feel at ease. Sooner a fierce battle broke out and I got a chance to escape but I couldn't because something wasn't right with the attacks onyx kept giving the other party. He was angry,too angry to fight . I realized that if he kept going at this rate, killing someone was inevitable. I walked boldly towards him and said in a loud authoritative voice

"Onyx stop!" he looked towards me and smiled. The mercenaries took the opportunity to flee the scene. I rushed to hug my brother, the fact still remained that I was scared. Onyx hugged me back and said.

" Sorry that I didn't arrive earlier"

"It's fine I kind of handled the situation " I said akwardly

"Didn't you see Dad and Mom ,they said that they would wait for you and escape with you" Onyx asked me.

"I didn't see anyone when I came out" I answered.

"It's fine let's go" Onyx said.

He took me to the same passage but this time we diverted to another location in the passage. When we got out,we were in another house. "I'm guessing this is another house of our family" I asked no one in particular

"Yes" onyx answered as we walked towards the living room.
