Trick 183: Ace vs Mephisto

Strange appeared just in time to hear, "Then, well, you know I couldn't go back to formula…" he looked at Ace and said "Oh good, you got another. Now we can send them all back."

Ace looked over and Peter asked "Uh.. What's that?" as he pointed at a box in Strange's hands. Strange replied simply "It's an ancient relic. The Macchina di Kadavus. I trapped your corrupted spell inside, and once I finish the proper ritual, it'll reverse the spell and send these guys back to their universes."

Octavius shouted "And then what? We perish?!"

Ace held out his hand, saying "Doctor Octavius, please." before turning to Strange, saying "We can't send them back to die, Strange." Strange frowned and retorted "It's their fate." Ace frowned deeper, replying "Since when did you believe in fate? What's your deal, man. Honestly."

Strange frowned and said "What?" Ace sucked the box to his hand, saying "First, you botched a simple spell, breaking the Multiverse. You agreed to help a kid erase memories of himself being Spiderman instead of just erasing Mysterio from everyone's mind."

Peter froze and muttered "I didn't think of that."

Ace ignored him and snorted with narrowing eyes, "Now you seem to have disregarded the consequences of sending them back to die? When you clearly did not believe in killing people before." everyone looked at him and fell silent, turning to Strange.

Ace grabbed his staff, continuing "So let me ask you something." his head exploded into flames, turning into his Death God appearance as the room started shaking and fracturing, cracks running along the walls, screams and flames escaping from them as he said "Where is Stephen Strange, Mephisto."

Strange narrowed his eyes and Ace's purple flame eyes blazed as he shouted "WHERE IS HE!?" Strange morphed into Mephisto as he cackled "Why should I tell you~? A little Death God. I think you forgot who you belong to."

Ace tossed the box to Peter as he chuckled, cracking his neck, "No, no, I think you forgot that I'm in charge of Earth." he touched the ground with his feet as his skeletal jaws clacked together, adding "Head of the Splinter Realms sounds great to me."

Mephisto grinned eerily, "Can you handle it, little worm?" Ace cackled strangely, tilting his head as he replied "Let's find out, right~?" as a rift opened behind him, a massive rotting skeletal hand shot out and grabbed Mephisto, screams and howls sounding all around the crypt as Ace added, "Come on, Boss. Let me cave your skull in."

The hand dragged Mephisto towards Ace and glass shattered everywhere as the duo disappeared into thin air.

Peter swallowed nervously, caked in sweat.

Everyone else was breathing heavily, scared out of their wits.

MJ was holding Ned, who fainted, and asked Peter quickly "What was that!?" as the cracks everywhere mended themselves. Peter swallowed and explained "Well, um… Mr Cloak is um… Well, he's the God of Death… apparently!"

Octavius shouted in shock, "I was conversing with the God of Death?!" Peter looked at him and said "Well, no! But yes? Look, it's complicated. He died and came back to life after becoming a God of Death… that's what I was told. He was a normal Wizard before, but now he's stronger, not a bad person though! Anyway, come with me, I'll help you all out…"

He paused and noticed a Sling Ring on the ground. He picked it up and handed it to Ned, giving the box to MJ and telling them to keep it safe just in case.

In the Mirror Dimension!

Ace punched Mephisto in the face, sending him flying into a mountain as he laughed, "Come on! I thought Hela was scared of you?" Mephisto sneered and stood up, clapping his hands, asking "Did you really think a puny mirror dimension can stop me?"

Ace looked around as the entire Mirror Dimension started fracturing and turning black and bleak, rifts appearing everywhere with flames sprouting across the entire dimension. He pursed his lips sarcastically, asking "Is this a show? The longer you're away from the Splinter Realms the weaker you become. Do you think I'm as dumb as you?"

Mephisto frowned and Ace chuckled, licking his lips as he added, "I know you won't die, this is a good excuse to try out some new spells." he raised his staff and everything flashed, becoming an endless flat plain.

Mephisto looked around and crossed his arms, he couldn't kill Ace and Ace couldn't kill him, so they were playing around right now. Not that he couldn't kill Ace, he probably could, but he would end up back in the Splinter Realms and it would do literally nothing but cause him trouble.

The Mistress would probably give him shit so Mephisto figured let the kid do what he wanted. He couldn't die and the kid couldn't be killed, who cares. Plus, he was found out by Ace anyway, if he told Yao about it, she would probably come and beat him.

So really, Mephisto was in between a rock and a hard place.

Ace looked at Mephisto and smiled saying "Eat this." as he pointed his staff forward.

The space around the tip cracked and started spinning as Mephisto got goosebumps, staring at the mini galaxy looking thing.

Ace waved the staff back and the galaxy at the tip of his staff lit up as he swung forward. The galaxy exploded and fired a massive black beam of energy! Mephisto waved his hands and the world folded, sending the beam into the sky, cracking the glass all around it as pieces of glass fell down revealing more and more glass.

Ace looked up and scratched his head, waving his hand as the beam flew back, landing in his hand as he muttered "Damn." he twisted his hand and the beam turned into a ball, spinning back into a galaxy shape.

It wasn't an actual galaxy, it was an improved version of the black hole spell. This one was a Quasar instead. This was pretty much the next stage of the spell's evolution, however Ace was wondering if it was possible to advance it into a Supernova galaxy.

Mephisto was sweating a bit, the Quasar was no joke. He could fold space and send it away but if it detonated it could easily destroy a planet or two and it seemed like it was nothing for Ace to do!

That was the real terror.

Ace was getting used to his power, once he figured everything out… Mephisto didn't like it. He didn't like it at all. He was a Reality Warper too! He knew what he could accomplish when he knew how to use his powers to the fullest!

Ace frowned and held the Quasar in his palm, closing his hand before a glowing ball appeared instead. He looked over and Mephisto jumped in shock as Ace threw the little ball at him!

He clapped his hands and the world distorted instantly, not like before. The change was instant, everything morphed into pitch black darkness. The darkness swallowed the ball of light whole and it disappeared with a fizzle of blood red smoke.

The duo floated there and Mephisto said angrily "Do I look like a training dummy to you?!" Ace looked at him for a second before nodding "Yep!" as he waved his staff again.

The entire world around them cracked and blinding light escaped from the cracks as they seemed to be in space. A supermassive Sun crashed down on Mephisto, swallowing him alive but everything faded into blood red water as Mephisto stood there with a bad expression on his face.

Ace touched his chin and hummed before disappearing directly as the world started changing. Mephisto looked around to see Ace everywhere around him, giant and small as he appeared in a house with doors open to different areas.

The roof was opened like a box and a massive eye looked at him, teasingly "Hello." Mephisto looked up at the eye saying "Funny trick. I can do it too." as Ace looked up to see Mephisto holding puppet strings.

Ace started moving against his own will as Mephisto cackled "It's fun to use me as a lab rat, isn't it?!" Ace frowned and twisted into nothing.

Mephisto looked around to find Ace walking out of his forehead before his view changed to normal Ace looking across from him. A huge hand grabbed Ace and he blew up into countless little Aces as Mephisto fell downwards in an endless void.

He fell into his own face and it popped like a balloon, becoming a bunch of puzzle pieces. He became the puzzle pieces as a massive Ace put them together, forming his face again, smiling "This is fun!"

The face shouted "ENOUGH!" as everything shattered, returning to the dungeon.

Ace frowned "What's your deal?" Mephisto cursed, "You! You're my deal! I despise you." Ace snorted "I don't like you either, but I'm not the one who kidnapped Strange and assumed his identity."

Mephisto grit his teeth, replying "I didn't kidnap him! He went to the Dark Dimension to help Clea, Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension. I merely acted as him while he was gone." Ace scoffed, "Oh, I bet your intentions were very kind too!"

Mephisto sneered and retorted "Whatever." before disappearing into a puff of blood red smoke.

Ace snorted and sent the rest of the information he gathered to Steve before going to fix the Multiverse problem Mephisto created. What a guy, even left a mess behind, not that he cared at all!

Most likely the more souls brought in and the more chaos, the more that guy benefits! Who knows how many people have been tricked into deals by him! Ace had seen many souls trapped inside of Demon bodies in Mephisto's realm.

He wasn't a good person, why would he care about chaos on Earth? Not to mention, Ace seemed to have noticed that Mephisto had a certain hatred of Peter. Very subtle but still there.

Though he didn't know why.

Well, whatever, it wasn't important.

Ace sighed and pulled out his notebook, sifting through the pages as he left the empty crypt, going outside. He needed to figure out what exactly could fix this, clearly the box was an option, however at this point it was already out of hand…

Plus, he wanted to teach Peter a lesson.

Not everything went back to the way it was before through magic!
