Full Moon Shift
The first week of school went by pretty fast. My teachers gave everyone homework on the first day of school, but what can you expect when you're a junior? They certainly aren't going to go easy on especially if you are one of the top ten percent with an average grade point average of 3.75. My grade point average probably would have been better if I hadn't gotten that C in English. Oh my goodness, I'm good at everything else except that. Anyways Stephanie and I became fast friends. We even have two more classes together besides math. We even have the same lunch period as well. However, this weekend is going to be a full moon and that is when I am supposed to get my wolf. I'm looking forward to it as well just as much as my parents are. When that full moon comes we will be having the Black Moon Pack will be having party during that time. I even invited Stephanie to come and join us too. She is looking forward to getting her wolf too, actually, a lot of students were looking forward to getting their wolf on the next full moon, which was only two weeks away. During that time it will also be my birthday as well. That makes it extra special for me, not only to turn sixteen but to also get my wolf on the same day too. The two weeks can't go by quickly enough. It was the weekend and the full moon was already rising. Everyone in the Black Moon Pack was getting ready and those of us that didn't have our wolves yet were eager to know if they came or not. As for me, I knew that mine was coming today since it was my birthday as well. We had to wait until it was completely dark though so that the humans couldn't know what was happening unless they were mated to one. Then they would have the right to be there, especially if their children became wolves themselves.
It was around 11:30 pm and it was time for us to go out and wait for midnight to see how our wolves will look. The pain was killing us to know and we had to wait until midnight before we began shifting. Then after the shift, we would do the Black Moon's run meaning that while it was dark those who had gotten their wolves would run and the others have to wait until the next full moon. Therefore, he was standing in the far mist of the forest you could see Alpha Jackson Thorne the most handsome man that you ever did lay your eyes on. Standing there waiting for midnight to come counting down the seconds. Alpha Thorne raised his hand and counted down five, four, three, two, one....shift and we all shifted into our wolves at midnight. My parents took one look at my wolf and said oh honey your wolf is beautiful through a mind link. What color is my wolf? I asked them. Your wolf is White as snow with silver eyes. You know what that means right? You were blessed by the moon goddess.
Oh my goodness I can't believe that I have a blessed wolf Yes you sure do honey, now go run with other wolves. Hello, there my wolf said, my name is Snow and you are Ivory am I correct? Yes, you are correct well that is good to know. The moon goddess did a good job by me to you. We are made for each other. We must not run for too long since this was your first shift and you will be tired. Then the next morning you will be famished. Pretty soon we will be able to find our mate. I'm not really in a hurry to find my mate. I have big dreams I want to be a Fashion Designer and design my clothes. However, I do have a backup plan if that doesn't work out. What is the plan then? I plan to get my degree in Marketing. If I can't design my clothes then I will just market someone else's brand of clothes I told her. That is a very smart idea, "Snow said to me," now we need to hurry back I am sensing that you are getting tired and we don't want to be the only ones not enjoying the party that the Alpha has prepared for us. We get back to the pack house and I had already shifted into my human form, grabbed some clothes from my parents, put them on, and went inside. The party was in full swing already and I could see a lot of members of the pack. Then I see my friend Stephanie run u to me and hug me.
"Oh my goddess Ivory, your wolf is s beautiful who knew that you would get a White wolf, she says to me." Well, I can tell you for sure that I was not expecting a special wolf. "If anybody deserves a special wolf Ivy it is you, you are beautiful and smart, just think how lucky your mate will be to have you as theirs." Now let's get some food because I am starving. I just laughed at her, alright come on, I said." Everything here looks Good and I can't believe Young Jackson Thorne is an Alpha now. I know it is hard to believe that he was in the Military as well. Do you know what branch he was in? I asked her. I believe from what I heard that he was in the Army and stationed in Japan. Heard that Japan was a nice country to visit. I had heard the same thing too. Now he s the new Alpha to the Black Moon Pack. "Yep, he sure is, I said." You never know if he could be your mate Stephanie had said t me. Haha, l laugh, I mated to Alpha Jackson Thorne of the Black Moon Pack. I highly doubt he would want someone like me for a mate. Come on now, we haven't even graduated high school yet, and we still have one more year to go.
Yeah, I know she tells me, but he has been looking over here at you for the longest time now. What do you mean to tell me we have been chatting away and now you tell me this? Sorry, Ivy, it is that he kind of told me not to tell you and you know I have to follow Alpha's order. "Snow, did you know that the Alpha was looking over here?" Yes, I knew that and I had been trying t get your attention this whole time. How do I look? I ask Stephanie. "Seriously, you want to know how you look when you have been stared at this whole time, Stephanie says to me." I turn around and look over, and sure enough. Young Alpha Jackson Thorne is looking at me, with somewhat of a smirk on his face. Why is he looking at me like that I wonder? Had he seen my wolf is that why he is smiling at me? Oh, then that must mean he knows I've been blessed by the moon goddess. Yes, he does said Snow and so does his wolf. You know what I'm tired and I am going to find my parents to go home and get some sleep and I suggest that you do the same, Stephanie. Alright said Stephanie, I will see you at school on Monday. After that, I went to find my parents and asked if could go home now. My parents said sure, are you okay, ask me. Yes, I said just tired from shifting I told them. Okay then let's go my dad says.
As we were walking out I see the young Alpha Thorne coming over to talk to my parents. He says hello to them and I am just standing there waiting to go home. James, Evelyn it is nice to see you again he says. I'm sure you saw what a lovely wolf your daughter turned out to be. Yes, she did and I'm afraid that she is ready to hit the sack after enjoying all this. Well, hope to see you all around soon, especially you Ivy. I stood there and looked at him. When they said that he was handsome, oh my, they were not lying standing at 6'6" tall, with brown hair and ice blue eyes. I could feel my heartbeat beating fast as he looked at me. It was nice seeing all of you tonight, but I'm afraid I have to go check on my father and see how he's doing? Goodnight, James and Evelyn. A special goodnight to you Ivy. Then he walked off as I stared at him.
