Chapter 2

You can hear the men in the back fighting for their lives, for the freedom they seek, for the salvation that will never come.

It was time for the『Lucid Raid』, but nobody from earth was chosen, up to this day, more than 500,000 people were reported as missing. Then, from above, a monitor screen appears with a head in it.

"Thou humans, might not understand what is happening, I shall present the『Lucid Raid』. We, humans, have ascended to the realm of gods, we are unaware of it's construction but, talking and sending messages to the lower planes is like reading a comic book. Yes. This realm is completely beyond Life, the Life that was constructed by the gods of the higher realms which we call Lucid, are complete authors of our world. We, the Lucid Raiders shall take authority over our own lives." a mysterious voice muttered.

Seems like this so called Lucid exists. Who would have thought, well, let's take a look at what's going on in there.

You can hear swords clashing, guns firing, and what not, this is a true battle amongst humans and their creators, or well more like the creator's children, yes, whom the humans are fighting are demigods.

There isn't too much of a difference between the humans and the demigods after modern science came up and built a system within the human soul, called a Simuli.

Simulis are based on emotions, the stronger the emotions, the harder the Simuli becomes, tame it and you shall attain power. Is what the scientists say, those who went missing, or rather abducted by the world government are the solders that fight in『Lucid Raid』, these people's emotions were mechanically simulated within their, mind resulting in the Simuli rapidly growing. All 500,000 people were hibernated so they won't explode or go berserk, the Simuli grants permanent powers to their "owners" which are given responding to how a human's soul reacts after taming their deepest emotions.

Asahi was no exception, he might have not seemed like someone who had emotions in the first place, which is true, but when he was scanned for Simuli response, the results showed the first "S" ranking.

The ranking system of Simuli is the following

XZ - the highest Simuli control, we have no information about this tier as it's yet to be reached

X - unidentified

Z - unidentified

S - this tier is naturally reached after going through extreme situations, which changes from person to person, but one record that being Asahi's shows that people can be born with it. Those who fully understand their Simuli and nearly perfected their own ability, and have others coming from Simuli are the ones recognized as S tier for now.

A - this tier is given to those who are able to potentially unlock a new Simuli based power but are yet to reach the state.

B to F - are those who are called "Lucid Soliders" these people are to follow the orders of the higher rankings in battle and fight for freedom of Life.

These tiers represent a hierarchy, the lowest is F, the highest is XZ, so this means, if an A tier gives out a command but a higher ranking, for instance, S tier does not agree, then the A tier has to follow the instructions of their superior, though S tiers are usually solo hunting for the Gods of this realm.

Asahi was given a power called "Eros [1]", this ability gets stronger each time Asahi feels love, if Asahi reaches a state of emotion driven from love that exceeds the previous, he gets stronger, once he calms down, the ability will remain on the same level of emotions permanently.

"It seems like I was mistaking..." Asahi exhales while looking down on a proclaimed "god of Channel".

"If you are truly a god, who has authority of this place, then you should have been able to kill me, or am I wrong?"

"N- no! You are mistaking! I am a god, yes, but let me explain how this works. But first tell me, who are you? How are you so damn powerful, as a human?" the god responded with fear

"Hmph, well, you should know what a Simuli is, considering you house one as well. But mine is based on my love, that's right, it might sound weird, but let me explain in further details: the ability it gives me is a one of a kind, the activation was instantaneous from the start, ever since then it has not turned off, not like it can by any means, it gives me the ability to see inside anyone's ability, even if it's someone with authority of a higher plane, dimension, whatever, there is a hundred percent guarantee that I will find that one gate, which then gets opened, bypassing whatever there is to be bypassed and gives me enough power to make an attack that is utterly unchangeable, unrecoverable from, now imagine this being instantaneous the moment you wanted to kill me. It reacts as you want to hurt someone who is close to me, which my Simuli doesn't let you do, and thus "executes" Eros, killing the target without a mistake, without something in the way." Asahi said

"How.. just... how... can a human reach this state, I have heard of this Simuli, yes, it's a descendant power of this Channels true God. Now let me explain, where you are is not the Lucid yet, but is based on it's form. Upon breaching the system, you all have entered another multiverse, what your kind refers to as a type IV. Everything around you is based on that so called mathematics, everything that is possible and that isn't is here. You and your army are in a tower-like construct leading up to the Lucid, that being the Gateway, every hierarchy from this is based on infinity as how your kind would say, this is the Aleph-Gateway, where every single Aleph is unfolded, in a hierarchy where the one above sees the one below as numbers, completely being above their logical structure, in this case you are on Aleph-0, I was the god of this plane, but your power exceeds not just mine, but this place's power, if you can destroy a Floor in this Realm[2], then you are far superior in everything below it, your power holds the ability to destroy your original plane. After this would come something inaccessible, by regular means you cannot reach that Gateway, it is not possible, the only way of doing so is by locating and beating the True God[3] of this Gateway, and then the impossible becomes possible for the ascension." the god said, after finishing.

The god evaporated from this plane, and thus the humans can advance to the next Set[4].

[2] - Realm, after the ascension from Life Realm with capital R is referring to everything above Life.

[3] - True God, every Set has one, defeating them allows you to move up a Set.

[4] Set- lit. referring to sets of Set Theory to describe the planes of Lucid.
