Sylvia was giving Scarlett the death glare, but Scarlett didn't seem bothered. The table went silent, and the atmosphere turned awkward in an instant.
Mia broke the silence, "After all this time, you still don't know who can't keep her mouth shut. Did I offend your buddy here?"
Sylvia's gaze was fixed on Scarlett. She snapped, "I wasn't talking to you."
Scarlett chimed in, "What she said is what I said."
Sylvia cracked a sarcastic smile, "Can't speak for yourself, need someone to do it for you?"
Scarlett realized that Sylvia was targeting her. She was sure she had never met this woman before. What could she have possibly done to offend her?
