Chapter 4- Restless heart

"Let me help you…" Somehow his conditions makes her felt guilty for getting mad at him earlier; Erica helped him to sit at the elevator floor again.

"Thank you… Miss?"

"Erica… just call me Erica…"

"Thank you, Miss Erica…" Silence.

The silence between them makes Erica feeling a bit more awkward as she was still holding his hands tightly.

"I guess the only thing we can do now is to wait for them to came; huh?" she sighs as taking a sit beside Han.

"Yes… unfortunately, that's the only choice we've got. I hope you won't mind staying longer with me in this crappy situation." The man's smile looks weak through; Erica's phone torch light.

"It's okay actually… since I still have someone with me; I guess I'll be fine."

'…and I'm pretty lucky that someone is you.' Erica didn't realize she was already feeling secure with him being there.

"Hahaha…" Han's laughs sounds weak as he lean backwards; it makes her felt more worried thus she opens up her candy box again.

"Are you feeling alright; now? I think it's better if you take another piece of candy; you look quite pale."

"Really? I really can't see anything now, you know?"

"Just take another one of these candies." Her words sound tenser than before; making Han stop and obediently takes one of the candies.

"Happy now?"

"Much better…" She was already satisfied with him eating the candy and starts to leaned on him without realizing it.

"Are you cold; or just scared?"

"Ah, I'm sorry… I didn't mean to… eh?" when she just realize what she was doing; she starts to pull away from him, but was stopped by him.

"Stay… I can't see anything, at least I can feel you close to me if you lean on me; besides, it'll take a while for them to find us, better get some shut eyes…" Han's deep voice makes her calmer than before as she just agrees it with a nod before leaning on his shoulder.

Half an hour later; the elevator door was open by force with the help of some rescuer. The lights from the elevator lobby stings both of their eyes, waking them up from their long nap.

"Mister! Mister! Wake up! They're coming! Wake up!" Erica who was awake first shakes the man besides her violently as he still hasn't make any movement since they took a nap.

"Mister? Why do you look so pale?" she realize something was wrong with the man as he looks lifeless.

"Take him! Please save him! He got low blood sugar!" she pleads as the rescuer took both of them of the elevator to safe; covered in blankets.

"Don't worry, miss; the paramedic will help him."

"Sis!" Lana's voice grabs her attention immediately from the man.

"Lana?" The young woman burst into the scene and hugs her sister tightly as her tears run through her cheeks.

"Lana, Where have you been? I've been searching all over the place for you! Do you know how worried I am? Thank god…" Erica continues to hug her sister as she tries to calm Lana's tears.

"I'm really sorry! I'll swear I won't do it again! I was just… hanging around with my friends and… and got the news about you being stuck… and I got straight to Nick… to get me here; I'm sorry…" she sobs harder as she tries to explain herself.

"It's alright… I was fine in there, thanks to… huh?" She just realizes she almost forgot about something; thus, she quickly dash to look for the paramedic at the elevator site.

"Sis?" Lana give Nick a puzzled look as he finally approached her from behind.

"What are she looking for?"

"I don't know… but she does looked quite anxious than usual."

"Excuse me, where is the man who just get treated here; the one that got trapped in the elevator with me?" Lana came into the scene with Nick tagging along behind her.

"Oh… a group of men came by and brought him back."

"A group of, men?"

"Ah… But don't worry Miss, he looked quite fine when he left and even ask me to say thanks to you for the candies. He said he'll repay you someday, for sure."

"What is it, sis? You look quite anxious earlier; do you know him?" Lana's question wake Erica from her daze.

"Uh, What?"

"The man you're looking for, do you know him?"

"Actually… I don't… "she drops her shoulders in despair as takes a look at the elevator door for the last time.

'He did helped me… and I don't even get his name.'she exhaled hard as throwing he focus away to the streets besides her. The thought of not might able to see him again seems to pierce her heart more than she thought it would. Seeing that sight; Lana signaling Nick to watch Erica from the rearview mirror.

After arriving at home; Lana gets Erica to her room and have dinner before helping her to go to bed; she still seems weak from the incident.

"I've just got sis to get into bed; she seems better than earlier."

"So, why do you need me to stay; earlier?" Lana joins Nick who was already being seating on the big couch before exhaling.

"I'm pretty worry about sis…" Lana was holding her head.

"Is this about the mysterious Mr. Elevator? Erica seems restless since she can't reach him after the incident."

"I'm relief that you notice about that; as you know, sister was not someone who normally cares about others especially strangers it's even nearly impossible for her to actually fall in love with a man based on her personality. You know her well than me…"

"Nearly impossible…" Nick's words shook Lana.

"What?"

"You've said it yourself; Erica is nearly impossible to fall in love with a man… Nearly impossible; so, there's a possibility…" Nick looks serious with his words.

"You mean… Sis has finally falls in love; with a…. stranger?" Lana looks in doubt.

"Not just any stranger… a stranger calls Mr. Elevator."
